The Supreme Court is the highest court in Nigeria. All appeals end at the Supreme Court and the judges at that court are considered to be the most learned considering the nature of their work. At the bench [refers to lawyers in the judiciary as opposed to those practising] the highest level a lawyer can attain is being at the Supreme Court. It can be likened to being a Senior Advocate of Nigeria which is conferred on practising lawyers. |
Delarontus is a nickname from a friend but its too long. Thinking of changing it on the forum. Seun, is it permitted? |
What men can do women can also do with standing ovation! I think its a well deserved elevation. |
Dooshima. I'll wait for other people to participate. |
Barira |
@Ra: Spanish music is fantastic! You know music is a universal language so sometimes it really doesn't matter when one does not understand the lyrics. I love the rythm, instruments especially the guitar and most of all the dance steps. @yomidipset4eva: I love Mos Def's raps and his cool attitude in movies. Didn't know about the Common and Coldplay albums but i'll surely listen to them. Its been a while since i listened to new songs. Never heard of Josh Groban! I wonder!! |
Suburban is indigenous but they are partnering with BT of the UK in this bid. It will be difficult to get a complete indigenous company to bid for NITEL considering the nature of its licence, assets and liablities. Let us not forget that NITEL and M-Tel are both going up for privatisation. Only big companies can run them efficiently |
The bandwidth will be delivered at your doorstep. Its up to you to utilise it. |
Creation of universities creates employment because new staff would be recruited. Graduates can teach at least at a lower level before they get experienced. There will also be vacancies for people in the IT sector because of the inroduction of IT into school curriculum and other areas. |
We need more universities but most people can't afford the fees of private universities. Something needs to be done about that. |
I can tell you for free that 1MB full duplex on SAT-3 is $7,500 per month while 2MB per month is $11,500. As time goes on, the price will be slashed. The higher the bandwidth the lower the price. NITEL has quite a number of copper wires in place which i think will help in the deployment. |
dupe backwards! |
@Monica: Most Nigerians in the entertainment industry are stars before Ghanians [apologies to Ghanians] that's why she went there in the first place. They trip over our movies, music and fashion so its no wonder she is a hotcake there. Nevertheless, she cannot earn a living from singing! |
Whst is good for the goose might not be good for the gander. Its a good way to relax after a hard day's work. The suspense and adventure thrills and the ingenuity of Nigerians in creating puzzles is wonderful. Remember not everybody is privileged to watch DSTV. |
The story had no direction. We don't even know if its a thriller, horror, romance or comedy. Its a never ending story! |
@mamba: are you an Ibo guy? Anyway i need an invite too |
Well, to be objective i think Vaughn has just been lucky and might be lucky enough to clinch the prize. Its funny the winner will not be judged by character or attitude or else he doesn't stand a chance. |
I think there should be different types of subscription based on the fact that most people earn monthly salaries. Others who have more money can subscribe annually or per quarter but of course the longer the duration the lesser you pay as subscription. They should get a discount. There should be various types of membership which will determine the type of service you get. If you're willing to pay peanuts then you get monkeys! However there should still be some free services like posting contributions because not every member has a job and they should not be deprived of their contributions. I will also suggest that the mode of payment should not be limited to the Mtel voucher because of network problems which we still experience in Nigeria. Flash me cash is another option or some sort. |
Kate Edoho of AM Express. |
That dude is Lukan and he is a lucky guy. One could tell he had given up then came the surprise. Yesterday was supposed to be another eviction day but the search with its surprises shocked us all. |
I wonder if its possible to bar someone you cannot even remove as a minister! |
I also think members should try to keep the topic of discussion and not veer away from the subject. A new topic could be started where a member is raising different issues from the main topic. |
Anyone knows if Taina is still aired on any channel? Used to be on Nicklodeon. |
How else can one announce an eviction, all smiles? I think he moderates well. |
I think Lord Williams fakes an accent! Save for that he is a good actor. I think he deserves a good person like the housemaid since the wife wasn't there for her family. |
..... and pretending to be J-Lo! |
Its amazing how the wives cover up for them! They make up stories to cover the abuse and even defend the guys. |
ISPs are licensed to carry data and not voice. Anyway the unified licence coming out soon will fix some of these problems. |
MTN is now offering a kind of service for corporate users like PABx where a company can actually have its own numbering plan by using mobile phones. In other words, a company can subscribe for a thousand lines or more for its staff as service lines. I guess that's why they requested for a new range to target corporate consumers. Good marketing strategy i'd say. |
The reason they frown at it is because the technology though legal is used for illegal purposes to dump traffic and carry international traffic which is outside the scope of their licences at ridiculous prices. ISPs for instance have no right to carry voice traffic but they do. Fixed line operators are also not allowed to terminate international traffic into the country but all these illegal businesses are conducted through VOIP. Fixed line operators worldwide suffer the same fate as it affects their volume of international traffic. The question is why can't they join so as force these 'so called illegals' out of the market? |
NCC is about to legalise VOIP as they have invited stakeholders to submit their comments and contributions. NCC is of the view that the services should be regulated not the technology. If technology is regulated then we will never get there because of delays and bureaucracy. I think the NCC is not against it but the reason operators are restricting thier subscribers is because of the conditions attached to their interconnectivity with NITEL. NITEL frowns at VOIP like all other fixed operators worldwide and they are losing the war. |
A slap is a prelude to a punch and much more. That relationship is over for good. If its a husband, leave the house for a break. |
I think its a well deserved elevation.
