I watched Schindler's List last year for the first time. It blew my mind because i never knew there was a side to the holocaust like that.

@ododman: I can answer your questions but it takes the fun out of watching the soap. Why don't you keep watching to enjoy the suspense.

Mildew also affects humans in another way. That mould you see growing on old things like shoes, clothes and handbags that haven't been used in a long time is also called mildew.

Business / Re: Zimbabwean White Farmers: how are they doing? by delarontus(f): 11:11am On Dec 13, 2005
They have settled in Edu LGA of Kwara State and have since commenced farming. They were given several hectares of land to farm and compensation paid to the local farmers. In addition they have developed parts of the area to be used as dwelling places and they are importing their farm machinery. This gives the locals an advantage to learn mechanised farming and innovative techniques which the Zimbabweans are using. The Zimbs also pay the locals for direct labour which is a good source of income to the farmers and their children because what they do is to work on their own farms and then go the Zimbs and also work for them for a fee.

I think the minimum wage now is $10. Since the Zimbs have also relocated thier family, there is the likelihood of the women taking part in community development.
Travel / Re: Can You Drive With A Nigerian Licence Outside Nigeria? by delarontus(f): 10:11am On Dec 07, 2005
A Nigerian driving licence can only be used in Nigeria. In the UK a driving licence is issued in strict accordance with the rules and when issued, its for life.

Oh i just love this administrator! He gave the right information when it was needed most. I'm a big fan of Age and i'm more surprised that Jerry Gyang co-produced that album. There is something about these Jos guys wink

Computers / Re: How Do I Get Bandwidth Via SAT-3? (NITEL Wholesale Internet Services) by delarontus(f): 9:19am On Nov 29, 2005
@leighcon: 1MB costs $6,500 monthly and $3000 for deployment which is a one-off payment. However, the higher the bandwidth, the lower the price.
Literature / Re: Which Books/Novels Are You Currently Reading? by delarontus(f): 2:47pm On Nov 28, 2005
Ehhhh baje i saw some Blyton books in a children's store in Abuja and i was so excited. Someone cautioned me against buying them because he thinks i'm wasting money buying books i read as a child when i can buy books i'm yet to read. I agreed but i really miss them. sad
Computers / Re: How Do I Get Bandwidth Via SAT-3? (NITEL Wholesale Internet Services) by delarontus(f): 2:41pm On Nov 28, 2005
I don't know about how to get Wimax but you have two options to get the 128/64 which are Computel in Akure or Nitel in Abuja.

@lookchin: He didn't.

Its easy to deduce that Miguel is Berenice's baby's father since they just returned from vacation and she's only a month pregnant now.
Computers / Re: How Do I Get Bandwidth Via SAT-3? (NITEL Wholesale Internet Services) by delarontus(f): 1:20pm On Nov 28, 2005
1MB is the minimum for IP wholesale. Your requirement can be taken care of through ISDN i suppose undecided Alternatively, since you're in Ondo State, you can try Computel and let's get a feedback.
TV/Movies / Re: Cuando Seas Mia: 'When You Are Mine' by delarontus(f): 12:37pm On Nov 28, 2005
@zannah: You mean Miguel?
Computers / Re: How Do I Get Bandwidth Via SAT-3? (NITEL Wholesale Internet Services) by delarontus(f): 12:35pm On Nov 28, 2005
There's no point calling a dog a bad name. If the other operators like Starcomms and Computel can buy the SAT-3 from NITEL, why can't everyone else do the same. people just like to be spoon-fed sometimes and that's why this thread will keep growing because all people will be doing is making enquiries and more enquiries.

I know NITEL is not really business inclined but that's because they are being run by government. However that doesn't mean the product is not available.

@leighcon: If you want the service urgently, you can post your location and requirements.
Computers / Re: How Do I Get Bandwidth Via SAT-3? (NITEL Wholesale Internet Services) by delarontus(f): 9:47am On Nov 25, 2005
Its better to deal directly with NITEL because you get wholesale rates and you're not short changed. The quality is also full duplex.
Computers / Re: How Do I Get Bandwidth Via SAT-3? (NITEL Wholesale Internet Services) by delarontus(f): 9:46am On Nov 23, 2005
You can call Shehu on 08044191091. People have started buying the bandwidth on SAT-3 from NITEL already. I know a couple of companies including oil companies who are presently using this bandwidth.

Health / Re: Why Do We Keep Suffering From Malaria? by delarontus(f): 9:25am On Nov 23, 2005
A new fungus has been discovered which can infect mosquitoes and prevent them from lusting after human blood. As you all know only female mosquitoes suck blood because they need it for their eggs. There is respite in the near future though the fungus still has to undergo several research and approvals by the international community before it can be used.

The early posters on this thread have been quiet because they have all read the story and do not want to spoil the fun for those who haven't. If you follow all the links earlier posted, you'll get to the end of the story. Happy viewing/reading.
Phones / Re: NITEL Up For Sale Soon by delarontus(f): 6:39pm On Nov 06, 2005
Well it will not be sold 100% as Nigerians still have a chance to buy the remaining 49% in form of shares including the workers.

Nairaland / General / Re: Jeeday - what do I stand to gain on Nairaland? by delarontus(f): 8:55am On Oct 25, 2005
I can give some of the benefits in summary based on my experience.
You get to meet people online, discuss so many issues ranging from politics, business, entertainment, sports, religion to romance. You also get to learn from other people's wealth of experience since nobody knows it all. It is an avenue for sharing your problems and getting real life solutions on such issues like your business, education, career, phones, computers, and even relationships!

I think its a good forum to join because its really difficult to meet all these people in real life and chat with them physically to learn this much from them.

Lastly, you get updates on global affairs, some humour and sometimes people get on your nerves!! rolleyes

Welcome to life.
