From my observation so far, Eze Ndi Igbo is just a leader or a representative of Igbos in a given community and it's necessary.

I believe EZE is a traditional title. Like Oba and Emir. EZE Is KING he has has chiefs, they can look for igbo words to describe their role as the head representative of their union. No union has a KING or QUEEN they have leaders or spokes person but not monarchy. Who made them King? King in a foreign land?
