China as a nation is eager to be like the USA. There will never be a time in history where China will be the most powerful nation on earth. Stealing other country's intellectual property gives them joy. Heartless people. They always want to build the largest this and the largest that. They don't even know God. As populous as they are, majority of them will still miss the last super with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The world has never benefitted any significant thing from them. No useful innovation and invention. Up till tomorrow, these inferior being are still struggling to land a rover on Mars in 2030 (something the US has done decades ago and are still doing). In fact, we will land another rover next year and I am happy to be playing an important role in NASA JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory). We will always be ahead of these guys military and economy wise. We will always be the most powerful nation on earth by introducing to the world new and powerful technologies like we always do. China will eventually surpass the United States in all levels. It is very likely to happen. Their government and political climate is more stable than the U.S and they have a high number of STEM graduates. They will eventually leave the U.S in dust technologically because they will have a large pool of tech talents to make it happen. China already has the largest number of patent applications in the world. |

We need to hear from these ladies to tell us if anything odd has happened to them since their pants were stolen. I hope this information will help us put an end to all these barbaric acts of thinking that pants can yield money.

onubijoe: Its high time for the elite to stands upright and leave political sentiment, religion and tribalism to elect the better persons.
We knew the desperate once are not fully educated but some of the have passion for it
Take for example , over three months now Strike every where because the person there did not understand what education is all about and some fools still wants to re-elect the same people killing our destinies.
This same man has insulted Nigerians youth be lazy why there is no job opportunity but his son granduated 2017 but controlling billions of Naira
Its obvious that politicians are almost the same but there are better ones compared to what we are seeing When you say "elites" it means the upper class in Nigeria having higher intellect and social economic status. This category of Nigerians are just about 2% or less. The numbers isn't sufficient to influence the election and elect "good" leaders. That's if there are any good leaders available from the pool of the uneducated political class who emerged from uneducated masses. Education comes first in importance of this country is ever going to move forward. |

Politics › How Do We Educate The Uneducated Masses Of Nigeria? by Delivar(op): 8:16pm On Feb 05, 2019*. Modified: 10:32am On Feb 06, 2019 |
From my observation the problem Nigeria is having seems to be as a result of lack of education. This education is not really about going to school and acquiring degrees. This education is about the mindset of the citizens. In my opinion the mindset of the average Nigerian isn't really advanced. This underdeveloped mindset is the root cause and responsible for the loads of issues we face in this nation. It perfectly explains why Nigeria keeps churning out bad leaders because there is no way you can get good leaders from citizens with a bad mindset. If we really want this country to change I think we should be asking ourselves how we can educate the uneducated masses and not just blaming bad leaders which is not even the real cause of the problems we face. If the masses are modernized in thought and action Nigeria will surely get modernized.
To educate the uneducated masses, those of us who are modernized in mindset must have to teach and upgrade those who are not modernized. Here on Nairaland and other online social venues we do witness the modernized and enlightened posters make attempt to school the uneducated ones. But unfortunately only a small fraction of Nigerians socialize online. The bulk of the very uneducated Nigerians like those in the north are actually not on online so the preachings from the educated ones doesn't really reach far and wide to make any impact beyond Nairaland. That's why online polls will always read different from polls taken in the streets. We need a more efficient and wider means to reach out to the millions of uneducated Nigerians to modernize their mindset.
Religion is very popular in Nigeria. Churches and mosques pull a very large audience. I think this should be a good avenue to teach the uneducated Nigerians the modern ethics that are vital to the progress of the country and also the seed to generate good leaders and responsible citizens. Unfortunately this channel is not being utilized at all. I don't really understand the usefulness of religious institutions in Nigeria because it hasn't translated to producing educated citizens. Religion in Nigeria promises better life instead of explaining practicable means of achieving this better life. I think pastors and imams need to dedicate a large chunk of time to preach about things that can upgrade the mindset of the large pool of uneducated citizens out there. It's only when the masses are educated that this country starts to develop. Trying any other thing is just a waste of time.
What innovative ways can be adopted to educate Nigerians? This is the issue we should take more seriously and not wasting time on APC and PDP who are just the same politicians. |
Car Talk › Re: Does Innoson Manufacture Or Just Assemble Cars? by Delivar(m): 5:22pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
Abbeyme: Autojosh, by your analogy, IVM is a vehicle manufacturing entity.
BUT, we all know that the act of manufacturing parts and components of a vehicle is mainly through the engineering of those parts and components.
BMW and RR both have hundreds of engineers (mechanical, electrical, design, metallurgy, materials even civil works) doing the designs and testing of components. How many engineers does IVM have in his employ? That is my question and I hope it would answer the manufacturing part of the principal question. Your post has answered the question. Mercedes Benz and Toyota are car manufacturers because they have engineers who design the vehicles and provide the engineering specifications to be used by the companies who manufacture the various car components. Innonson is not a car manufacturer because they don't have engineers who design the car specifications. This makes Innonson an assembler. |

Dee60: I see your point.
I however do not think we should use America as benchmark in everything. They have gone very far (in terms of industrialisation, automation, academics etc) so they can afford to look away and allow some segment of the youth population do just whatever they like. We are still far behind and I think we should focus more on constructive things. The rate at which people do not want to work in our country (from the thiefing politician down to the cleaner who is stealing madam's pants for yahoo stuff) should raise concerns. I dont know about the shows in America - do they have people jumping the walls to get in? How do you know nobody wants to work? Give me an instance where an unemployed Nigerian youth was given a good job and a good pay and he rejects it. I have never seen that happen. Nigerian youths that are praying day and night for a job and you are saying they don't want to work? Yes we should focus on constructive things but in this instance the youths saw an opportunity to earn a huge amount of money and you are saying they shouldn't try their luck? Since unemployment rate is high it's perfectly justified for youths not to disregard a life changing opportunity. We shouldn't rush and criticize everything just like that. |

Dee60: Absolutely.
This goes beyond hunger! It tells you how badly bent our value orientation have become in Nigeria. The people there are not looking for a job - They are looking for big money + fame and are not ready to pay the price. That is what happens when the airwaves (over the years) are filled with public officials, politicians, judicial offices, even school teachers having billions, not from the work they have done, but from the wealth they have stolen! Our leaders have become very bad examples, over the years, from military to democracy. It even seems it is worse in the civilian era. These guys buy everything from votes, to primaries and even bribe election officials and judges. Until we get tired, and realise that dog eat dog only destroys the nation, this may just continue. It is just a pity that if they are not stealing pants, they are looking for a way to get onto BB. I wont be surprised if someone gets into that house and goes to steal panties belonging to fellow participants. I don't see anything wrong here. The prize money is huge and it can change someone's life. Even in America where things are much better, if there is something like BBN there and the prize money is like $100 million American youths will still rush it like Nigerian youths are rushing this BBN. You also talked about work. Where exactly is the job? |
