Romance › 8 Reasons Why Guys Verbally Abuse Ladies On Nairaland by Delivar(op): 5:59pm On Dec 19, 2018 |
Many Nairaland guys are really hostile towards ladies like ladies are the worst thing to happen to planet earth. Whenever their is negative news about a lady on the front-page guys always cherish the opportunity to lambast women. Even when the news is not that negative guys will always look for the means to twist it negative and attack ladies. I do wonder what's responsible for the way guys vent anger towards ladies and I figured out the reasons may have to do with the factors listed below
1. IMMATURITY Women do some bad things, but men appear to be worse. Most times Nairaland guys will say women are evil but they ignore the violent and hideous crimes being committed by men on a daily basis. The killings in money rituals, cultism, robberies are 99% carried out by men. If women are evil then the word to describe the more superior wickedness of men doesn't really exist in the dictionary. In spite of these heavier crimes committed by men you will never ladies verbally abusing guys all over Nairaland at the scale Nairaland guys will abuse ladies over things as petty and irrelevant as being a baby mama or a prostitute. It's sad ladies are being more matured than guys on Nairaland.
2. IGNORED You can imagine a situation when a Nairaland guy sends 20 private messages to 20 different ladies and not even one replied him. This should definitely be enough to make him go bonkers and start spraying verbally vile bullets at ladies all over Nairaland.
3. LONELINESS Some guys have been single for a long while and not happy about it. There are billions of ladies in the world but ladies have somehow made themselves appear like a scarce commodity. Ladies have mastered the act of behaving like they don't need men and don't care if men exist. Sometimes when a guy tries to converse with a lady she responds like he is disturbing her peace. This has made lots of guys upset with women and more willing to castigate ladies at given opportunity.
4. RUDE LADIES Some ladies can easily be offended and disrespectful to guys when they are approached. Especially when a lady gets so much attention from guys. The surplus attention makes her careless and more willing to insult a guy over any little thing he does. The insults many guys have received from this sort of ladies are still fresh in their minds which makes these guys speak bitterly towards ladies at any given opportunity.
5. BROKE GUYS Women have succeeded in placing a price tag on themselves. They keep sending the signal of NO BROKE MEN WANTED. This have made men convince themselves that they need to be rich in order to afford ladies. The broke guys are very frustrated and upset with this situation which makes them always abuse and accuse women of loving money. This accusation of loving money is an indirect way of begging ladies to show them some love inspite of being broke.
6. ENVY Many guys do envy ladies in areas where women have it good. Ladies get attention and so much beauty praises from guys. A lady will enjoy sex and still get paid so much money on top of it. In some cases, a lady can walk out of the house broke and return with a fat account balance riding in a guy's Mercedes Benz G-wagon even without opening her legs. When ladies reap these kinds of sweet benefits guys go insanely jealous making them sound bitter towards ladies. 7. DUMB GUYS Some guys are dumb that ladies take advantage of them. These guys spend all their account balance on a lady just to win the lady's heart and the lady still ends up running away after draining his finances. Then these guys come over Nairaland ranting how ladies are wicked, devils, bla bla
8. HEARTBREAKS Some ladies break their guy's hearts in such a fatal way that these guys find it so hard to recover from, therefore making him a woman hater in the process. The whole female gender becomes evil just because of the action of one female. |

sankky: There is a complete erosion of values and respect for womanhood going on in Nigeria right before our eyes and we think its modernization. A woman is here flaunting the fact that so many men had unprotected sex with her that culminated in the birth of a baby.....we even have someone else claiming to be the baby's dad; which implies that he was one of her numerous sex mates who had unprotected sex with her... (an implication she doesn't deny). Women do not know they are shooting themselves in the foot by creating the impression that they should be treated like sex objects, hoes and without respect. Even Linda Ikeji is too rich to fit into a marriage.... So she scripted a relationship with a man and acted her part so well that it was piloted to crash weeks after birthing the child and even the church partook in the celebration. The bubble will finally burst one day. A time is coming in Nigeria when men will rather have babies with these shameless Nigerian girls but will import wives with tolerable social history. Talk about love? Materialism has firmly overthrown it in Nigerian love circles. At least the Muslims are getting their acts right here. The future will tell. Every time women this, women that. Are men themselves saints? There has has been countless threads about men engaging in ritualism but you will never say anything about the erosion of values and respect for manhood. |

Travel › Can Nigerians Rule And Manage Europe Effectively? by Delivar(op): 4:05pm On Dec 10, 2018 |
Nigerians are very eager to leave their country because they say their country is not working. Every Nigerian including the politicians speak like none of them is responsible for the ugly situation in their country, and you begin to wonder who exactly are those causing the problems. Nigerians believe the country is bad and also falsely believing they can't do anything about it as an excuse to run away. They heap all the blame on politicians forgetting that it also the responsibility of every citizen of a country to fight and ensure that the politicians don't abuse their powers. Nigerians also don't realize that as long as they don't fight for a better life politicians will always take advantage of them to become selfish and never bother about them.
Now Let's assume Nigerians get their wish and were able to emigrate en masse to Europe, displacing the natives of Europe over time and taking up 80% leadership positions and every other employment positions making Nigerians in charge of Europe. The question is, will they be able to manage Europe and maintain the standard of living or will they ruin Europe same way they ruined Nigeria?
If you say Nigerians can manage Europe why can't they manage Nigeria? And if you believe Nigerians would ruin Europe what's the need for Nigerians trying to migrate out of the country when they will still bring with them the destructive mindset inherited from Nigeria to destroy their new home countries? |

CaseSensitive: The earlier you wake up from your ignorance the better for you young man. How long do you want to hold your ill and rotten resentment against the "white man" for? I am not resenting the white man. You didn't read my my post properly to grasp the meaning. If you don't mind, can I ask how I'm responsible for the rot in my motherland? When your number one citizen can openly say to the world that the youths in his country are lazy. When the same people I grew up to know as the leaders of the country are still clinging on to power like their life depends on it, yet there's absolutely no change for better. What resources are the youths armed with to "change things"? twitter rants? Keep wallowing in your misery and if you don't know, Nigerians abroad are hustling and thriving. In one way or the other and no matter how little, we're all contributing to Nigeria's economy, well, f you consider that as our own effort to "change things". I am glad you asked how you are responsible for the rot in your motherland. So let me explain it to you. There are millions of you who have exited your country or still planning to take an exit. The belief that the country is not working has made millions of you focus your energy on leaving the country rather than focusing your energy to make your country work. You all want a shortcut to comfort and it is this desire to leave the country that has made you lazy to fight and make your country better. Now let me ask you this, what if everyone running away from the country are staying back to fight to make the country progress do you think things would be as bad as it is today? So you think the citizens have no ability to change the country? Is that your silly excuse? Let me ask you a question, what if American or European politicians become incompetent like Nigerian politicians and their citizens start experiencing the problems Nigerians face like lack of power supply, roads, health care etc do you think their citizens will relax and say what resources do they have to change things? I bet there would be an eruption and things will change by force. This is exactly what Nigerians are not doing. The fact that Nigerians are relaxing over the problems we have and the fact that you have ran away to a white man's land rather than fighting clearly shows you are also responsible for the rot in your motherland. |
Travel › Re: Why Do Nigerians Think That They Can Only Make It Abroad? by Delivar(m): 1:37pm On Dec 10, 2018 |
naunasabi: Since when does saying the truth become something to be ashamed of?
I don't want to cut across as insulting but looking at your post it seems your argument is one-sided and full of emotions rather than facts.
Have you ever asked yourself why country like Venezuela suffered more than Nigeria during the current slump of oil price and inflation witness by both countries? The simple answer is Nigerians living abroad.
Nigerians living abroad have contributed more in developing Nigeria in so many ways than you can imagine. Just last year Nigerians living abroad remitted 22 bililion dollars through official channel just imagine the money that was handed to friends traveling, in addition to physical goods that were sent as present to family and friends etc that were not included in the 22 bililion. Nigerians living abroad has done more than those we have entrust the power to move our nation forward.
While Nigerians abroad are sending money home to develop and help her people Nigerians at home (you rich people and political class) are sending billions of dollars out in the name of education for their children, tourism and medical travels and the investment in properties in Dubai UK etc.
So please next time before you start typing something you know little about think about it critical and be sure you are looking at it logically. Saying the truth that Nigeria is has a poor standard of living is not the problem, but jubilating about living abroad and enjoying a better life as an African while your homeland is a mess is what is disgraceful. Nigerians abroad sending money back home doesn't solve Nigeria's problem. The money sent to relatives is just to buy food and build a house while the main national problems remain there. It's like giving food to a hungry man who will become hungry tomorrow again because he hasn't figured out how to manage his life properly to make him permanently able to care for himself. Nigerians abroad sending money will not improve power supply, education, stamp out corruption and usher in security. So don't even talk about it. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Albert Einstein Letter Doubting God Auctioned For $2.89m by Delivar(m): 12:47pm On Dec 10, 2018 |
Alsayer: Your responses only make it clearer that you do not understand Jack shit about how evolution works. Also, your assessment that a male and female of the same species look alike is false because sexual dimorphism exists. Take a look at the peacocks, are you going to tell me the male and females look identical? Just because a male and a female peacock have different feathers doesn't mean they look absolutely different. You can't also say because men grow beards there is no similarity between male and female human beings. Why didn't a male peacock look like a male lion and a female peacock look like an elephant? That's the kind of difference you should have talked about and not mentioning an irrelevant difference in feathers between male and female peacocks. Evolution is a mechanism driven by the struggle of organisms to better adapt and survive in their habitats. It's why some creatures have very close relations between predator and prey. Like how the grasshopper mouse evolved a resistance to scorpion venom and how the scorpions they prey on have some of the deadliest neurotoxins to other animals. You have made it sound like animals are the ones deciding what to evolve into in an effort to survive. A lot of animals in existence would wish they will be able to disappear out of sight or transform to a grass whenever they are in danger of being hunted by predators. That's part of a struggle to survive. So my question is, since is this is a part of a struggle to survive why hasn't any animal evolved to a varnishing animal or an animal that can transform to a log of wood to escape preys? I hope you understand this question. And how did evolution decide the grasshopper mouse needs anti venom to survive the Scorpion venom? You keep talking about evolution like it's a living intelligent force who knows what it's doing. You are indirectly recognising the existence of an intelligent being in evolution but you don't realise it. It is not a God that drives evolution because if that were the case, God would have created all living creatures in perfect states from the start. You implying God drives evolution makes him sound incompetent because he'd be no different than a software developer releasing a broken program to the market and having to slowly improve it via consecutive software updates and patches How did you know things weren't created in perfect states from the start? Were you around witnessing when creation or your evolution was happening? So you have no authority to say whether things were created in a perfect state or not. And what exactly is your definition of perfect? If something is imperfect to you it doesn't mean it is imperfect to God because you don't exactly know God's intention for leaving things the way they are. God is not a human being like you with your limited intelligence and understanding so you in no position to say creation is imperfect. |

1kingwriter: I laugh in Swahili!
A friend of mine, a nurse moved to USA 5 months ago. She got her first pay check last week having worked for a month. As a starter in nursing, she earns $15 hourly and works on the average 16 hours : 15×16 = 240 Daily earning - $240 Monthly earnings - $6000 $6000 × N365 = N2,190, 000.00
Here in Nigeria she earns about N48, 000 monthly as a nurse here before moving to US.
If you divide her monthly earning in the US with what she earned monthly while here in Nigeria, that will be about 4 years earnings.
With the above picture, going abroad has it. CaseSensitive: Different strokes for different folks. I was in my early twenties when my life got filled with a lot of uncertainties as to where I'm gearing towards in life. I didn't think I was going to make it abroad, I just didn't see any prospect in sight back home in Nigeria. Dropped out of Uni because I was studying a course I had no ounce of interest in, which I had to or stay at home under my parents roof. Opportunity arrived to move to the UK and I didn't give it a second thought.
I came with dreams and hopes which is paying off. Now in my final year in University and course of choice while working part time for a mobile phone retailer company with a good chance of moving up the ladder. I have friends who are happy with their security jobs and also have friends who have masters degree working in notable firms, from multinational engineering company to the NHS. I'm not here to tell a success story but considering I am literally a "nobody" back home where favouritism and nepotism has eaten deep into the system. I have no chance of attaining this achievements if I'm still in Nigeria. Bottom line is, the system works here and everyone is given a fair chance. The system simply doesn't work in Nigeria. (If we have one in the first place) sweetmelanin: Who mentioned jealousy? Aint my fault you parade the hot sun looking for jobs. People doing odd jobs abroad live a better life than you do. Hold your head up. E go better! Jman06: Many of the people who travel abroad ain't just looking for where to make money, rather they seek sane societies where things work properly. Where they can apply for a job and be considered based on what they have to offer and not based on political connection. They also seek quality healthcare at affordable cost, constant power supply, good transport system, security of lives and property, good education etc. Those are the things Nigeria has failed to offer them and that is why they are leaving!
Some would want them to come home and build their country, and I ask; how do you build a country governed by selfish, wicked and demonic leaders who are in no way interested in seeing the country change for good Watch the kind of machinations the evil men in power today are trying to employ to manipulate the upcoming election in their favour, how do you expect the common man to build the country under such political atmosphere Spygadgets19: You need to understand one thing, not everyone is travelling for the sake of money. Some are travelling for comfort. Imagine paying for NEPA bill and yet you are not given the required service. Its annoying. People want a working society. Personally i just want a country were everything is working, 24 hrs power, good education with no strikes. litdutchboy: I am a Dutch boy. I choose security over money. What is the point of making it when you live in fear of armed robbers, trigger happy policemen, ritualists, kidnappers, rapists and bad Nigerian drivers. Every single Nigerian family I know has been a victim of one of the above. sweetmelanin: Ignorance at its finest!
I'm so sick of people assuming that nigerians abroad are doing odd jobs. Please if your own family members dont have papers and are suffering abroad, advice them to return back to Nigeria and suffer there with you.
..but please, STOP GENERALISING. Many of us Nigerian youths are doing exceptionally well abroad. Our parents paid the price and suffered so we can have our stay and live decent lives! NONNYG: During my NYSC in Nigeria I was earning 19,800 monthly, with that I feed myself, pay for accommodation, transportation to PPA, flex small etc; but after my NYSC I moved to Dubai and I’m earning above what I earned in a whole year just in one month, with free accommodation, free food, free transportation to workplace, free medical, 24 hours uninterrupted power supply etc.
U wan make I come back to Nigeria abi? Unless if I’m offered a job in oil company naunasabi: @op why do Nigerians think it is all about money?
What about quality of life? Last time I checked the life expectancy in that shit-hole is around 50 years. Moving to country like Germany automatically increases your life expectancy by about 30 years on the average.
What about opportunity? Yes you can make money in Nigeria but then how much are we talking about? Being a middle class doesn't spare your children the horror of everyday life in Nigerian or how uncertain the future look. Unless you are among the top earners in Nigeria which will afford you the means to ship your children abroad for a better life. Which brings me back to the question if Nigeria is that great after making the money since that is your sole indicator of a wonderful life why don't you leave your kids in Nigeria instead of carting them away?
To the average man on the street, Nigeria is one of the worse place to be born and to live in. Go to the west the average man on the street has a prospect if they work towards it. In Nigeria working hard towards your goal doesn't cut it, you have to be very lucky and know people. I know that there are group of people that will counter this point but my question to those people is to compare the number of those that did it without knowing anyone with those that knew someone. While when you look at the west the element of luck and knowing someone is insignificant on how your life turns out.
@op you won't know the quality of life until you get home from work, flip the switch and there is power. Step into your tube and take a warm bath thereafter relax in your sofa without any worries of whether the power will be on when you wake up in the morning or if the tap will be running in the morning. You wont known the quality of life or what it really means to make it until you have emergency medical condition and all you need to do is dial emergency services and their will be medical personnel right there at your home to save your life.
Even in your so called money haven- even if you managed to amass a lot of money when you have medical emergency the service you will get is a far cry from a decent one. I forgot all your billionaires are still running abroad for medical checkup.
As for the poor man he is on his own!
Yes to me making it, is living in a society where everyone has equal or at least near equal opportunity of charting the course of their lives.
Making it to me is living in a society where I don't have to worry about the mundane things of life like security, health , education, human right, job security etc. You can be making money but mine and I can speak for most people is living in a decent society.
To us that is what making it is all about! It's shameful and disgusting for an African to boast of a better life in a white man's land. Why can't you guys fix your country and quit running to the white man's land? The same white man you accuse of being devils, racists and enslaving Africa. You are also responsible for the rot in your country cos you are among those making no effort to change things. Instead you all want a shortcut to a comfortable life. The white man fixed his country so why not fix yours? You talk like this because the white man allowed you into his country. What if he never allowed you in? I repeat it's disgraceful and shameful for an African to boast of a better life in a white man's land. |
