Are we operating farmlands that needs to be sprayed with herbicides cuz that's what I see them do with these planes o.

I think we better spend more setting up simulated training centres of modern aircraft with the hopes that we will acquire some than waste aviation fuel on these.
Stop acting naive, did you proceed straight to five hundred level and you progressed step-wise? They just graduated from a training school and on the job training starts today. I believe they would be introduced to the different kinds of aircraft gradually. In the bid to criticize by all means don't expose you naivety.

Please tell us the faith your children practice, as an Alhaji are your children Muslims? How comfortable are you when you enter your sitting room or bedroom and see a crucifix on the wall? I'm asking because I'm about going into such union.

I learnt a great thing from my grandfather. This arch deacon in my village was so extravagant and couldn't account for so many money under his care and he's also promiscuous. many elders in my village gathered in our house threatening to go disgrace him. My grandfather warned that if ever attempted, it will bring curse upon the whole village cos it is God that called him and it's also the same God that will judge him and caution him when he goes astray. since that day, I will never be among those to disgrace a man of God.
I'm not advocating for jungle justice like they did to this man, but if you see anyone going astray and you refuse to correct that erring person saying "leave it to God to judge" believe me you have a share in the sin. So the deacon in your story could as well continue sleeping with peoples wives and robbing the orphans of the livelihood all in the name of God will judge? So why do other countries (sane countries) investigate and try erring clergymen/women? Is it that they don't believe in God?

What exactly are you trying to let us believe? Because it is wedding dress she should let loose her breasts? In the church? Is that to you a form of mordenity? Why do you guys mimic other races blindly. Here is how I see it, whites came to Africa, Africans saw clothes on whites, started wearing clothes, covered up like the whites at that time, whites decided to reduce the sizes of their clothes, Africans followed suit, whites decided to go unclad, here we are defending nudity in church. I wonder what you would do when the same white folks decide that nudity is out of fashion.

Sabon Tasha is dominated by non hausas and in fact non muslims, the same area where Andrew Yakubu hid his cash. They have a lot of fun, drinking, fornication and also has a high rate of HIV prevalence, abortions and suspected child witches. It can also be a volatile area during religious crisis at least for non Christians.

PoliticsRe: Navy Burns Illegal Bunkering Site In Port Harcourt As Black Soot Takes Over by delivryboy: 10:36pm On Feb 23, 2017
This allegation is not fair on the navy, nothing in those photos suggests the inferno was caused by the navy, secondly, bunkers burn more hydrocarbons during their process of illegal refining. They also release more oil slurries into the water ways than SPDC+Chevron+total all together because of their rudimentary approach. The people in the Niger Delta are so defensive of their people, always shifting blames, nothing is ever their own fault. Everyone in Borokiri and marine base in Port Harcourt has a friend, cousin, in-law, classmate who is directly involved in illegal oil bunkering. How did I know this? Because I live there, not only that, I fly helicopter over these creeks and water ways and there are countless number of illegal refineries operating in those places. But my people would rather turn a blind eye to such people because "they are our sons" and "it is our oyel".

my fear for Niger-Delta youth is that they will cancel each other out in this their "entitlement orientation". Back then in PH, Shell gave employment slots to indigenes (can't remember the number). Do you know many of those slots were sold to non-indigenes? The kind of war that precedes election community Youth executives is unbelievable......then they become authorities and face oil companies for everything.
I live in Port Harcourt too my brother, all you have mentioned and many more are still happening today, you'll see a youth leader at age 50years, no form of employment whatsoever but spends hugely on expensive wines, cloths and women. They immediately hate you the very moment you mention the evil word "JOB" to them. It's so sad. Worst is that they have now invaded the internet space condemning everything everybody else is trying to achieve.

I have been living in the south south for six years now, the level of laziness and sense of entitlement is appalling (much respect to Akwa Ibom though), leaders squander cash big time, the average person believes government owes him/her, clandestine groups sprouting daily, agriculture completely absent. They wait on the north for food daily. Things have to change, we must learn something about hardwork from the northern brother.

This is a ministry for goodness sake, budget goes through several different commitees including legislative bodies. Get your facts right people before posting sensational stories that frizzle out after few hours due to lack of substance.

I don't have the time to spell it out to everyone who quotes me.

Nigeria's problem is not corruption. Corruption is only a symptom. Corruption is a relatively new phenomenon. The person that institutionalized corruption in Nigeria is still alive. He started ruling in 1985. You can guess the person.

China is more homogeneous than Nigeria (language is Chinese, culture is Chinese, there's no religion, they have rich homogeneous history going back at least 1,000 years, and there are only 56 ethnic groups for a population of 1.3b people).

India may have around 2,000 ethnic groups for a 1+b people population, but the country is far more homogeneous than Nigeria. Almost 80% is Hindu. Hindi is the major language. Hindustan is an informal name of the country. It reflects in the Indian culture, dressing, cuisine, and identity. These people have been staying together sharing the Indian identity for over 1,500 years.

You can't compare that to Nigeria with more than 400 ethnic groups for only 180million people (50 million people in 1960, and we've lost some ethnic groups). There is less than zero homogeneity in Nigeria. Less than a 100 years ago, our great grand fathers didn't know the people they were lumped in together to form a country.

And this heterogeneity fueled corruption. It is why not too long ago, 3 of the most corrupt Northern leaders alive came together and said their Patron Abacha (arguably the poster child of corruption with billions of dollars stacked abroad and still being returned) was not corrupt. One of the corrupt Northern leader that passed that vote of confidence was a direct appointee of Abacha to head one of the agencies in the same petroleum ministry that Abacha pillaged. That same leader is the current president who is insulting every reasonable person's intelligence by talking about being anti-corrupt.

Interestingly, none of Abacha's immediate family members have been prosecuted by the Nigerian state. But the wife of the immediate past president who does not have a property abroad, foreign account, nor sent any of his kids for elite education abroad is being prosecuted while here husband is still alive, while the widow of Nigeria's most disastrous dictator is treated like royalty and waltz in and out of Aso Rock to this day with impunity.

And perhaps understandably, you have people from the ethnicity of the immediate past President and ex First Lady calling it persecution.

Tomorrow, when a Southern President goes there to do same, it'd be termed persecution by the Northerners. This is a country where a Southern President killing Northern terrorists is unacceptable by Northern leaders, but a Northern President killing Northern terrorists is acceptable by same leaders.

Similarly, a Southern President cracking on Southern militants is acceptable by Southern leaders (killing of John Togo), but a Northern President cracking on Souther militants is unacceptable by same leaders.

Corruption is not Nigeria's problem. If you believe that, then you could very well believe that the Earth is flat because you are currently standing on a flat surface.

-Lord
You started your write up with the aim of buttressing your earlier point (population and homogeneity) but you got yourself derailed and consumed by other pre-existing ideas, I really don't get your point, are you suggesting Nigeria be split into 400 new countries to suit each of its 400 ethnic groups? Or you hope some Nigerians vanish away to reduce the POPULATION?

Corruption has been in existence long before "1985" you quoted (Refer to "Man Of the People" by Chinua Achebe - 1965)

The rest of your write up is totally incoherent and can not gain much marks if passed for an article in an examination.
