Tundeolaniyi: [s][/s]Broda Tunde of God, so why are the Onzobu people crying foul then when taken back to their villages to get re-united with their 'rich' families ? Agreed most south west states arent rich but they arent totally poor bro. Houses in ogun state are getting major face-lift in case you didnt know. Villages are disappearing and cosmo towns are appearing. Having lived in the North for a while, I know exactly what poverty means...Visit Gambo in Borno, Biu, Potiskum, etc then, you'd know what real 'huts' look like. Those are gradually disappearing in South west. Besides, who says there arent mud houses in Igboland? we watch Nollywood films o even if we havent travelled all over the east like you Mr-Ajala-travels-all-over-the-world. |
Dreal1247: .Shut up joor...what else will you say ? We know your type...bigot! Nothing ever makes sense to your kind...find fault in everything to justify your pitiable condition. |
r231: Fe** A**i - £500 bank transferCorrect!...more grace IJN

Fhemmmy: Yes, but still better than Western union and convenient for those that prefers cash to CashReally ? I thought western union was better cos i kinda use it frequently...easy n convenient (no ads o) |
Fhemmmy: There are few coys in Canada that you could pay the $$ into their account and they will credit the Naira account with Naira. . . If you want, i will introduce you to one of them.Yeah but their commission and exchange rate isnt so funny (at least for some that I know) |
I have already sent the money. Have you guys not seen it??...my name is Priscilla.
Probably because u used interac which is basically American (not British) But I am sure the remittance will be made in a little while, otherwise call the bank just to be sure. however, you could simply do an e-mail transfer from your bank account to the nairaland email...check it out |
biolabee: You are right but things are getting better gradually. That's good to know then. I know GTbank offers some of those services but same cannot be said of others. Putting these things in place will surely ease money transfer in the country. ATM is a life-saver in most cases to avoid bank visits but largely insufficient. |
dabigjess: a local proverb says "na eye dey see eye pity am"Correct guy. God is watching you...He surely will settle you in no time. Cheers |
Idowuogbo: Now na noise abi? No b campaign again she?Open door come back joor...Afterall Nomoreloss been get worse insults as head of #safeOJB committee. Na you be the appointed chairperson for #SaveFolake...so continua abeg |
This brings to mind, the finance system in Nigeria. I know this thread isnt meant for this but then, it is worth mentioning since we are talking about donating to save a human life here. Cashless or not, there is really a big problem in the banking system in Nigeria. Imagine abroad, you could easily make payment at will, anywhere, anytime without any fear of fraud, via: - Paypal - email transfer - social transfer - online bank transfer - mobile banking (phone or sms) - interac payment etc... I am pretty sure many people in Nigeria would have instantly made contributions for Mrs Folake if the payment system in the country was more flexible and convenient. Unfortunately people have to either go the bank or ATM to make payments (during working days) which in turn discourages a lot of well meaning guys out there from contributing. Its high time something got done about the banking system...The twist of it all is that most of these payment methods were developed by students or young adults and sold to these financial institutions...Time to put on our thinking caps guys. |

I thought so too but then, snakes could attack a sleeping person because a sleeping person is breathing (and moving)...but then, the whole thing is just a terrible event. So sad those cute kids had to pay for someone else's negligence. |

yusfundam: Well, the age is an issue, 25 years old.Disregard that and apply. Age is irrelevant if called for an interview and if you perform exceptionally. Skip your age in your resume (or CV), one, it is unconstitutional to be disqualified based on age but being a Nigerian case, it might not work. So, skip writing you age in your CV altogther. If called for an interview and they ask you, wish so much doubt, tell them. But the way you perform at the interview is about the main thing. Goodluck |
vivichocs: got an invite 4m deloitte? I'm still serving, do u think i shld apply..they ddntt mention anytn abt nysc cert.. kiss ednut1: me self still serving til october, will go nd try my luck oIf you got an invite, perfect! If you are still serving, apply. Job offer is basically dependent on the outcome of your interview and the quality of your resume...anything is possible! Goodluck gys |
