I.am.not saying my point is reasonable, I am just saying the OP should consider some of these reasons to avoid the avoidables. If the father takes appropriate steps (as I assume he would being an old man with years of life experience) , present situation could be resolved, future damages/hostilities could be avoided, and everyone would be happy. It's a matter of reason my friend.
