Please help in solving the qustions below:
What is the different between SAP Finance Module C_TFIN52_64 & C_TFIN52_65
Which of these module should one go for for certification sake
Please,what future do you have for sap in Nigeria,it seems that most coys go for sap business one because of fund.
Pl,also advice if one need to go for this training after the above.Because for instance this is what my coy implemented.

I believe the 64 means ECC 6 Enhancement Package 4 (just like an update to the current offering), you can write anyone but it's advisable to go for 64 since you are self studying and won't probably have an access to the update for hands-on training.

IMHO, acquiring the skills for SAP business one would help when training for ECC6.

I'm actually planning on enrolling in a school pretty soon, buh my challenge is which module 2 certify in... I'm a graduate of banking & finance..buh dere isn't any module dat suits my academic background.. The closest is F1, which basically suits accounting graduates, but it isn't exactly my field.
2ndly, I've gotten a training school here in lagos dat will train me 4 a couple of weeks & if I pass d certification exam, they r willing 2 snd me out 2 get hands-on experience as an intern, wich sounds good enuf 4 me.
Pls sir, I jus wnt2 knw if I'm on right path in becoming certified & also which modules r out dere for banking & finance graduates.

yamakuza: nice to know. Seems replacement is even free sef, so why bother.

On a side note, it shouldnt take too much for the bad guyz to come up with a number generator.

With a token id/mac address and a few numbers, the algorithm can surface. (They dont need to steal the device to get these).

Unless the ace server uses a different clock from the one on their site. Still ...

Bad guys would be wasting their precious time. Before they get the password to access the token, security question on the account, username/password and on getting to the account to move funds you still need another security question.

If they are able to circumvent all these security layers, biometrics would be introduced. lo ba tan!

what happens when the battery on my token device dies for days/weeks and i dont replace it?

By the time i change the battery, it will be out of sync, no?

Meaning that those that dont change theirs within 5 minutes of failure will have to get a new device?

Except you use your token to solve complex equations, it should last you more than 5 years.

#what happens when the battery dies? Maybe thats why they asked someone to come get a new one? He must have swapped batteries in seconds.

The 6 digit code that you see on the token is generated using an algorithm that is exists in all tokens. The token also contains a clock and has a unique seed number. The current time and the unique seed are processed using the algorithm and produce the token code you see on the token. This is normally done 1 per minute. In this way a unique code is generated that appears to be random.

The server (Ace server), that is online and conected to whatever system you are logging on to, also knows the time and it also knows the unique seed number of your token. So it uses the same algorithm to calculate the code that you should see on your token. If they match then you are authenticated.

I guess the next question you are asking is what happenes if the time is wrong on the token (or the server). Well this can happen and for that reason the server normally allows a 3 minute window. So it will calculate and accept passcodes based on the current time and a minute either way. If the code is more than 2 minutes out and less than 10 then the server will recognise this code also but will ask for the next code as well to confirm you really have the token and didn't just read it by chance on someone elses token. If the time is slightly wrong then the server sets a time offset for the token and remembers that it is x minutes out. It then knows to expect this and has effectively synchronised the token.

mhm: I doubt that's the way the token works, I am in south Africa and use the token. How does the gtb server know when I have pressed my token. It does not transmit any signal. So actually in principle, if he writes the codes down and uses them in the sequence they appeared then it should work.

That's the beauty of technology there. Every number that would be generated at any point in time is already known by the authenticating server.

The token I use and know about is for my work's VPN access

It's a calculator like device that generates random numbers to authenticate your online account. It's a 2 factor model of authentication which gives additional layer of security as it's becoming easier to use social engineering to get mugus to disclose their passwords.

The Irony there is the passwords eventually get too complicated especially if it's not an account I use frequently and also 'cos I don't reuse my passwords. For accounts like these, I often resort to using the "Forgot My Password" feature.

I'm of the opinion that passwords shouldn't be more than 8 characters. Just anything to avoid being written down as it invalidates the reason for having a password.

The Arbiter: The password hashes were unsalted SHA-1 hashes. SHA-1 was proven weak back in 2005, and unsalted hashes are especially weak.

Slyr0x: Nah. .The passwords are stored as unsalted SHA-1 hashes. SHA-1 is a secure algorithm, but is not foolproof. Even so, unless your password is a dictionary word (i.e. password,qwerty,etc), or very simple, it will take some time to crack.
