Nigeria is keeping up with year 2000 as regards internet speeds. All the swift, glo etc they are selling to customers are just dial-up system which most technologically advanced countries have discarded. Fiber optics will never happen in Nigeria cos its too expensive to lay the cables, even if they do average household will not be able to pay the bills. The best solution to Nigeria's internet is for the ISPs to come together and have collocation agreements to set up Metropolitan Area Networks whereby hotspots will be available in different areas of the country and people will have a sensible internet via wi-fi system. Or they could resuscitate NITEL and every household subscribe to ADSL lines. |
Lol. If they send this link to 2 million people and they succeed in getting 2 people to input their details, they have made sales. |
Its a sin if you're thinking about jada fire whilst taking matters to your own hand ![]() |
emmatok:Hmmmnn they are trying sha. |
emmatok:They didnt take them down oh, they exploited the vulnerabilities in their system and listened to their phone conversation. Taking such organisations down is no joke. |
cringeworthy |
eGuerrilla:Lol, I'm telling you that it's impossible to take the internet down. For all you know, ISPs cache all DNS requests passing through them. So, it's pointless. I can decide not to come Nairaland through and use its ip address. The only time people will know is when google.com is not accessible. |
These guys are stuppid they couldn't hack ordinary facebook and amazon now they want to take the whole inter network down. |
Just that Martin O'neal is a top coach. |
If you use the service normally and due to GTB's vulnerabilty the connection is compromised then using this same concept of Non-Repudiation its GT thats at fault
If GT bank haven't come out to publicly disclose that their systems were compromised like reliable companies like Sony, VISA and PayPal did, it's your word against theirs. You'd be told you have been a victim of phishing attack or your computer is a zombie within a botnet. Your money don go tey tey I have heard horror stories of people receiving text messages of fraudulent transfers from their accounts over the week-end and they haven't been refunded cos GT bank could not establish they were fraudulent transactions. Stay safe bro! |
logica:I was about to tell him to read about the concept of non-repudiation |
Arsenal will turn it around at the emirates. The theatre of nightmares! |
That time of year when they self destruct. |
I'm sorry for you if you experienced abnormalities and still used it anyway. You could have used an unsecured session displaying your details to a 3rd party. |
Easy conclusion is that they dont have good disaster recovery plans. |
FBS:I can't believe he ran 100 metres to take that rubbish penalty ![]() |
RIP Whitney! |
guonno:emboldened gbagaun is a killer. |
are you guys expecting anything good from them? |
expensive dinner at kfc do their chickens have breast implants? |
biolabee:It's actually called a security token. Anytime you want to access your online account you have to input your pin and it generates some random numbers for you to gain a secured access to your account. If they hack your bank account without the token, they would just be licking their lips cos they wouldn't be able to authorize any transaction. |
itsmayiela:The "Pin pads" makes your bank account more secure cos the random number generated is authenticated with the server everytime you do an online transaction but charging for it is a rip off. |

Some people suffer from ADHD, Seun specifically said it wasn't him. |
teewai27:There's no known problem with cordless mice ![]() |
teewai27:From my experience if you send your PC to HP for any kind of repairs, they wipe it clean. You could get your data back only if you are sure they didn't change the hard drive and that too is a hit-or-miss. Like my able friend Zim posted, I have been using this for over 5yrs and its free http://www.filehippo.com/download_antivir/ |
