These days organizations hire hackers to learn the unwritten rule of hacking known to black hats only. This guy will save them so much money and reputation by showing the vulnerabilities in their products.
BusinessRe: What Is The Biggest Amount Of Cash You've Lost? by denzel2009: 9:40pm On May 30, 2011
Abuna:
Won't exactly say mine was  'lost' in that sense. Let me explain; I lent N1,500:00 to a friend of mine back in 1996 (big money then) and we got on a bus on our way back to campus but got waylaid by some area boys/robbers and my friend said to them to wait and he 'paid' me back the money lent to him that very day! You should see the massive grin on the robbers' faces!

I felt used and duped. What a friend!  angry
I can't remember the title of that nollywood movie.

OP. I have lost so much that I lost count being a bank Teller few years ago. My very first day at work was N100K.

On May 29, 2011, Sean Kingston was involved in a jet skiing accident in Miami, Florida. Kingston and a female passenger were severely injured when their jet ski struck the bridge connecting Palm Island with the MacArthur Causeway at approximately 6 p.m. He was taken to a Miami Beach hospital. Though its said he's in a stabe condition. but news filtering in some minutes ago said he's dead. still in doubt.
I thought it was one of the hoaxes going around.

Believe it on not, Why buy a designer suit for £400  at Oxford Street when you can get it at East Street market for £50.99 or any other Sunday market? Southern visitors knew these places or taken there by relatives living in London, while our northern brothers are not privilege  to such. And Sunday markets don't do VAT either and you can haggle the price too Nigerian style grin grin grin
Yaaaay, I have been wondering who buys those suits with lapels like moinmoin leaves anytime I walk past East Street market. Here you are, nice to meet you finally. cheesy

Well, while you may think like a Nigeria, where tribal sentiments determines things, this shop doesn't as they use hard fact a available to them. While many Igbos/Yorubas may be in London but they don't shop in Oxford street, including the rich, but sunday markets all around London. While Hausa visitors  just like few of them that live in the U.K probably new nothing about cheap Sunday markets.
Big lie Mr Eziachi grin

I no no that!

Is that for individual item that cost over £600 or any group of items over £600?

I don't get this point.
Wheeew!!! getting sagamite to say I no know: PRICELESS cheesy
BusinessRe: London Retailer Shop Adopts Hausa Language To Woo Customers by denzel2009: 2:01pm On May 29, 2011
Common Sagamite you can't reclaim VAT on goods in excess of £600. And they have to physically check the goods sef at the airport.

and I thought you already told told us they conducted a special research.

Sagamite:
I am pretty sure people working at such a company and at such a level that is strategic to the profits of the firm will be quite intelligent and not resort to such arbitrariness.

More so, definitely not in UK, where they will even have many Nigerians working in their head office.

It is not Russia or Germany. It is London, mate.

On the other hand, if I don't attack cretins how will I explain to God on Judgement Day about being selfish with my superior Godly intellect? undecided
We are still saying the same thing. If they have done it strategically and by careful sampling of customers that regularly patronize them, you and I know they wouldn't have picked Hausa.

If the so called Hausas are very wealthy, they won't go through with the tedious task of collating receipts from every store and join the long queue at the airport in order to reclaim few quids of VAT.

Sagamite:
What makes you think they don't research the specific customers when claiming VAT?
Sagamite, you need to go out more and stop attacking your cretins on NL. cheesy

All they need to do before launching that campaign is to google major Nigerian language. Even wiki lists them as Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba etc

Must everything be scientifically researched?

Sagamite:
You are playing with your balls based on your conjectures?

You go soon lose your balls.

They came about picking Hausa language because they judged the majority of those reclaiming their VAT are Hausas.
So on the Vat reclaim forms they ask you your tribe?

Pataki:
71% of foreigners shopping in Debenhams are Nigerians as the report claims when assessed in 2010.

How did they arrive at this figure?

Answer: By the highest number of foreigners who claimed their tax back with the store.

Kudos to them all. I guess the likes of Abdul Mutallab are the big Hausa spenders in the UK.
I can bet my balls that a significant amount of those that reclaim their VAT are not Hausas. So, how did they come about picking Hausa language?
