To Trump’s demand, Buhari pushed back, saying that while a lot of Nigerian oil was being sold to the U.S., American trade barriers also posed obstacles for Nigerian farm products seeking markets in the U.S.
But the ignorant ipobs and anti Nigerian elements were screaming that the president bowed to Trump to flood Nigeria with AMERICAN products?

Good Job PMB.

When you make claims or call people names, you should be able to explain and justify the reason/s why they are what you called them.

The reasons you've stated after getting busted are.

1. They did not build schools and hospitals and I proved you wrong with facts, then you shifted to.

2. They did not hire and train teachers and I proved you wrong with facts, then you shifted to.

3. They did not do anything about area boys and I again proved you wrong with facts, now you ran out of ignorant and silly excuses.

A grown adult like you should be able to clearly articulate yourself and back up your views and opinions with sane and rational facts, instead of needlessly running from one excuse to the next with more and more ignorant rubbish.

My only concern in this NA VS Executive face off is that Nigerians know who their real enemies are. When you have a Senate where almost half the members are either under EFCC investigation or currently being prosecuted, then you know there is real trouble. These guys are trying to hold the rest of the country to ransom. The Senate deliberately refused to table the Budget today because Saraki is claiming he is being blackmailed!!! He will want to use this to blackmail the President when they eventually meet with the President. This is what has been going on since 2015!!! A senate where the members arrogate to themselves N125 billion!!!!! for nothing! They give themselves allowances unknown to law and keep it a secret between themselves. They extort heads of MDA's during budget defence and presentation.
I just hope Nigerians are on the right side of the fence here.
Saraki is not your friend!!!!!!
Saraki and his gang have refused to pass the budget since November last year because he is either busy with his CCT case or he is busy packing the whole senate into a bus to visit Melaye in the hospital. Nigeria has no budget for 2018!!!!!!
Nigerians please wise up. Saraki is the enemy!!!!
Saraki is a mindless looter and one if not the most corrupt Nigerian alive today. The man is a ferocious looter and he's destroyed banks and businesses and his real estate portfolio all over the world is so large and makes no sense.

His appearance in the Panama papers alone and all the illegal businesses and undisclosed mansions allover the world says a lot about this man and his looting appetite.

Democracy is under threat in Nigeria right now.

The way my friends and acquaintances who voted Buhari act when they see me now, so remorseful but the damage has been done already.

So many of our youth are so intellectually lazy that they couldn't dig deep to find out this Islamic extemist of a president's antecedents.

The rest voted out of tribal and religious sentiments and I'm pretty sure they'll do same in 2019.

Can't you guys see we are headed for doom? Unless this country is restructured and every state of region becomes autonomous to a large extent, then another war will definitely break out before 2023 if Buhari wins in 2019.

It's bleak I must say but the Lord of hosts will bail his people when the time comes.
What do you know about democracy, really?

In America where we borrowed and copied democracy from, people like Saraki, his deputy, Dino and their crooked and corrupt gangs won't and shouldn't be in office because when you are on any kind trial or even investigation, you vacate your sit, you don't get to keep it.

Even sef, their Senate leader won't make such baseless, illegal and fact less claim about the FBI trying to plant something on him just to put him in jail. This is beneath the office of any senate leader and lawmaker.

You people shout democracy based on ignorance, tribalism, hatred and pure silliness because you know nothing about democracy.

This kind of baseless and fact less rubbish came from the Senate president? The head of the Nigerian law making body who should know better?

I keep saying, the Nigerian senate and reps are the beginning and end of our problems, These crooked, corrupt and incompetent clowns collect so much money from us, but we get nothing in return to make our lives better, just endless fabricated and self interest drama.

The senate leadership from the senate president to the vice and beyond are crooked, corrupt and under investigation and trials, this is the kind of drama and selfish claims you get.

My opinion is that they are elitist. You cannot change that.
I do not care what you think and have no interest in changing your opinion so if you think your family members or elders at home are ranting go and tell them

For me Fashola is neither a leader nor a visionary and he and his cohort are elitist who look out for their own personal interest first.
They have not done anything to develop Human capital in Lagos state
[/s]

You finally ran out of excuses to justify your elitist claims with.

Why are they elitists? You still have not utter one fact to show or educate us what they did or did not do that connotes the term elitist.

After shifting to teachers, to training to healthcare to area boys, I was expecting your next rant to shift to why they did not make the sky blue.

You can shout and scream elitist till eternity, but facts on the ground says you are lying.

Next time, don't misuse words that you don't know the meaning of and can not justify or back up with facts.

Listen I am not here to argue foolishlly or endlessly.

My view is that Fashola had some positive points but in summary the general outlook of his government was elitist that is my opinion. I remember the slum evacuation and his commissioner telling people who have been there before Fashola was born to "go back to where they came from"

It is idiotic to summarize that to say "because he did not train teachers he was elitist"

Did I say so?
Now you say I used the term elitist to insult? No if I want to insult I caan do that quite comfotably. Open a dictionary. This is the education we were talking about

Fashola did not train tens of thousand of teachers please stop talking nonsense. What training dd he give them . Does it have a name or output qualification at the end.
How many LASG civil servants can use a computer?

My point is a very simple one not just with Fashola but the governed and the governors in Nigeria and I focused on Fashola because he was called a leader. We need to focus less on so called "projects" and invest in our people. Not only do we need to invest
We need to sit down and formulate a strategy of how to educate and train those kids who are now still under the age of 10 to make them competitive in a globalized world. That is visionary leadership

I saw no evidence of such thinking from Fashola whose vision is tunneled into their "elitist" Mega City project.

Nigeria needs to invest more in quality human capital developmen that can be objectively measured.

If you train 1000 teachers what did you train them in? For how long. Who did the traning and is it recurrent or a one off? Were the teachers evaluated afterwards and how did they perform. Were they certified?

LASG went backwards in WAEC performance under Fashola and there is no objective evidence of any Human development strategy apart from noise from idiotic paid hacks and propagandists who come to places like Nairaland to make noise.

Are you even from Lagos State? Do you know Lagos State?

What dd he do to rehabilitate area boys?
Where is the output of the skills acquisition programme. This programme that had no vision ,no investment and is as good as dead
1. First you called them elitists, but after countering you with facts per their people oriented achievements, you shifted to teachers.

2. After countering you with facts that they actually massively hired teachers, you again shifted to what they are training them in.

4. Your new rant and goal post is now area boys.

What is your next rant and goal post going to be? They did not make the sky blue?

5. Projects is actually in people if you don't know. Projects means jobs, it means making people's lives easier, it means improved quality of life, building schools means human development, hiring and training teachers means human development, building hospitals and training and hiring Nigerians to staff the hospitals means human development, 30 skills acquisition centers means human development.

Obviously, you are ranting with zero knowledge per what you are ranting about and the fact that you keep shifting and running helter skelter from point a to point be with irrelevant argument means you lack the capacity to defend your initial claim that they are elitists.

It is ok to have and propagate your opinion, but your opinion was wrong and flawed, hence your inability to show facts that they are actually elitists.

I know people used to use that term and I've lectured many of you per that misguided and bogus representation because facts on the ground doesn't jell with your claims because the same people doing so much across the board on behalf of the people can not at the same time be against the people they are doing so much for and if your.

Nigeria: Now the Area Boys Are 'Born Again'! Rehabilitated Lagos Urchins Graduate

AT the onset of the administartion of Governor Raji Fashola, SAN, of Lagos State, news was all over town that urchins known as area boys were being raided by the government to rid them off the streets of Lagos and to be put in an Island where they would not be able to escape and, by so doing, would get serious with their lives.

It was a welcomed idea from Lagosians as they knew if these miscreants were off the streets, harassment, theft and hooliganism at the various parks, bus stops and markets would stop. Since that time, I had been looking for opportunity to see what exactly the state government had in stock for the urchins since it is not getting them off the streets that matters but getting them to get something doing.

http://allafrica.com/stories/200808180818.html
Per your new area boys rant and goal post shifting to justify your bogus and misguided elitist claim, above is another fact to educate you and dispel your ignorant assertions.

I expect you to come back with another bogus, irrelevant and goal shifting claim and I hope it's they are elitist because they did no make the sky blue.

Btw, me being a Lagosian or not can't not be the reason why you made your ignorant elitist claim even though I'm not only a Lagosian with a family court, I obviously more about Lagos than you a million times over.

In fact, I feel hurt when I think about Ogun state. sad By now it ought to be a mini-Lagos. undecided Can you imagine, that Ogun state also has extensive waterfront along the Ipokia, Iwopin, Ibiade & Ogun waterside area? The state govt should encourage massive development of resorts, estates, hospitality outlets etc, along the shoreline in those areas, and invest in water transportation, to encourage people to commute by boat & ferry, from Ogun state to Lagos.

I hear there's a concrete jetty in Iwopin, and the distance from Iwopin to Epe & Lekki in Lagos Island, is less than an hour using a speed boat, and about 2 hours with big local boats. undecided
Ogun state will get there, they are just getting started and it's just a matter of time. Ogun state is basically starting from scratch, unlike Lagos .

They are elitist and cater to their self interest FIRST. People focus a lot on "projects" but their investment in human capital development or even recognition of need for that is weak

Just like Awolowo recognized the value of education someone needs to recognxe the nature of IT, its potential for separating countries into winners and losers and invest in that. Mathematics education needs investment as do apprenticeships of all kinds. We hardly see this all we see is concrete and steel but after more than 40 years in Nigeria Julius Berger still use Oyinbo Engineers who were born after Julius Berger arrived.

The reality is Fashola did very little in terms of education and health in Lagos. He was not focused on the same people he went round throwing presents at during Ambode's campaign
Lagos State does not have a water strategy and there clearly is no waste strategy

The transport strategy is speculative
When the wonderful Fashola of Lagos state commissioned 30 skilled centers, was the skill centers for elites?

When Fashola built and commissioned roads and bridges, are they for elites only to drive on?

When Fashola built and commissioned housing estates, are they only for elites only to live in?

When Fashola built and commissioned 15 waterworks, are they only for elites to drink from?

When Fashola built and commissioned schools for school children, are they only for children of the elites to attend?

When Fashola built and commissioned maternity centers, are they only for elite pregnant women to visit?

When Fashola started the Lagos Metro Rail, did he do so just for the elite to ride on?

When Fashola built and commissioned fire engines and equipment, he did so just just for the elites?

When Fashola bought police cars, bikes and equipment, he did so just to protect the elites?

When Ambode built and commissioned terminals, flyovers and so on, he built and commissioned them just for the elites only?

Btw, Fashola built more school, hospitals and maternity centers than all the governors in Lagos state, before and after.

IBO people said they are not interested in Nigeria but complain whenever anything happen that does not concern them. Old Federal Secretariat at Obalende that would have been released to Lagos State during Obj is now dilapidated , wasted and an eyesore. National Stadium had been in a state of ruins for many years, these people who come to Lagos to make money has nothing to say. National Theatre & his environment stretching to Ijora, Iganmu & leading to Eko bridge that would have been an architectural masterpiece & tourists destination has been decaying for years in a state with little land with lagoons & ocean. Land cannot just be wasted in such environment, it is a very scarce commodity.

Both State House Marina & Dodan Barracks are no longer suitable for the Presidency. In future, a modern State House would be built in Lagos.

In those days when FG was fighting LASG over the control of Federal roads, the same FG cannot provide street light on those roads, but now, LASG provides street light daily on major roads. Reconstruction & upgrading of M/M International Airport road long abandoned is another feat of the APC administration. Oba of Lagos was right when he insisted Lagos must not be in opposition in the government they laboured to create.
Well said...

Don't allow hatred to becloud your sense of reasoning. If there is any FG property in your state, that's lying valueless and useless. Kindly write your Gov so they also write the FG. So your state can begin to make use of such properties. As it stands , The stadium in question has been long abandoned over 15 yrs now. No one is making use of it as most of the facilities there are in deplorable condition. The stadium had long been overtaken by hoodlums who come to smoke and use the place for all social vises. Perhaps you might not know where the stadium is located. If the place is put back in shape, definitely it's going to be for the usage of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religious.
Lagosians are just lucky to have sensible, competent and serious leaders with great sense of duty, dedication and love for their state and people.

Look at Ikorodu road, the FG refused to maintain the road and what did the LASG do? They asked OBJ to relinquish the road which he did.

The FG looked the other way while Lagos Badagry express rot away, but Lagos state government asked for that road to be ceded to the LASG which the FG did also.

They also lobbied and asked for the FG lodge in Marina and the FG relented.

They asked the FG tolet them demolish 2 FG properties obstruction the construction of Lekki Ikoyi bridge and Yaradua (RIP) instantly agreed.

The FG obviously can not manage all the FG assets in Nigeria o instead of looking th oher way while they rot away in your state, just ask them to hand it over.

Fact is, this is not favoritism, it's all about competent leaders going through due process to allow progress and development on behalf of their state, something other leaders can not do or just don't know howto do.
