@ Posters What does a Nigerian want. Ebenezer Obey summed this up in a song long time ago. If this means nothing to you, it's either the person is not sincere ,not impressed because (this is just a corner shop) , or too exposed unlike we village people, or have access to hygienic food or does not have 1 or 2 people begging him/her for jobs daily. I have been unfortunate to be on the same flight with the ex- militants going out of the country for vocational training on a number of times. On 2 occasions on my trip to South Africa, I have had this experience. The guys were loud, noisy , uncouth, unruly ( though miles better than when they were carrying arms) and ill mannered. Inwards into the country is worse . Have you in recent times had this experience? |

Well, The truth is that the company is going the way of Intercellular / Nitel etc. Telecommunications is too complicated to have one guy running the show. Competitions is tighter now and networks with shaky foundation are all going down. Even vendors that are not innovative are closing shop ! |

The reason is simple. Majority of Nigerians see things from 2 perspective 1. Ethnic perspective 2. Religious perspective. So If Mr A is a rouge, for an average Nigerian, He is being "marginalized" if he is from your Tribe and He is "corrupt like his whole tribesmen" ,If he is not from your tribe |

I thought some guys are arguing against: 1. Librelization of the downstream oil sector 2. Privatization of the Power Sector. Look at competition among just 4 players in the telecoms sector and consumers are enjoying Look closely at what is happening in the aviation sector, with good plans, you can fly anywhere in Nigeria with less than 10,000 ( I will rather take that that the most expensive and convenient Night Bus) |

@bebe2 Well, the decisions is hinged on what matters most to you . Do you want to choose being with Family and friends along with the stress that comes with living in Nigeria or Do you want to live abroad with all the advantages and forgo close family ties? The 2 sides of the coin has it's advantages and disadvantages. Probably your children are not in the same shoes as you and your hubby. |
