Many times I keep telling people that, eating Garri does more harm to us than good but nearly everyone that hear me say this, get furious with me.

Since child-hood I have had nothing but trouble eating this yellow stuff (Garri).
I normally eat rice from january to december, when I feel the urge to eat soup and garri, just eating it twice gives me health issues.

In 2018, I became worried and I went to see some (medic) practionals and told them about the effect of garri on me, to them I was talking nonsense because they themselves cannot do without eating garri.

I was in a place full of working men when I told them that Garri is poisonous to our body, these guys almost eat me raw. I had a fierce argument with them 1 me vs 7 men because I was trying to let them know that cassava root is very poisonous and harmful to our body.

The garri was constantly making me to have
・Migraine (headache)
・Sour mouth; lips and tongue
・Stomach pain
・Fast heartbeat
・Itchness / scatching
・Body weakness, it makes me very weak. I must constantly lay down.
・Dizzyness, I will not be able to stand for long

The heavy sugar in garri started giving me diabetic symptoms.

・Weight loss (Fatigue)
・Blurr Vision
・Peeing / Urinating every 30 mins.
・Eye Pains / burning; I will not be able to look at the sun or be inside the sun because of eye pain/burning.

The first time I eat akpu in 2002, I nearly died. Akpu is extremely worse

Is anyone experience this?

I love our soup but the garri is poisonous to my body, what can one use to replace garri?

My father is yoruba from ibadan, my mum is Igbo from Ideato North in imo state. I've had an interest in politics from very young age, hopefully someday I'd venture into politics and I'd need a platform to start from, am drawn to the south east because my mother's ties with the region, but considering the political climate of nigeria and requirements for running for office would it be possible to claim my mother's side as state of origin? Need your advice.

I am 19 and the first son of my single mom, I think my mum is about 40 or so. She has 3 of us and we all live in a one room self-contain apartment in Lagos while my mum sells in a small shop in a big market.

I am 19 but I am not blind, I am not too young to notice what my mum is doing. She is so smart that she doesn’t allow any of us see what she does but I know she is not clean… Everybody on my street is talking about her, even when I walk on the street, people look at me somehow.

One day I asked some of my male friends on the street that what exactly is happening, it was then they opened up to me that they do see my mum in their compounds on several occasion. One of them said even his elder brother has several times sent him out of the house to go and relax outside because my mum came around.

Since then, I started trailing her movement and then I realized that they were saying the truth. Almost every guy on our street has slept with my mum, even old men that are close to their graves. It’s so shameful and disgusting.

The problem now is that I don’t even know how to confront her or who to report her to, we stopped going to church and even stopped visiting family members. Instead, she is making plans for us to move to a Big flat soon and even talking about buying a car.

My mum is bringing shame to me and making me ashamed of moving around in public. Right now I feel like running away from home and going anywhere to live my life away from her.

Next time police got you and you sure of yourself and most importantly don’t want to pay money, do the following

1- cancel your plan for the day. It’s gannna be ah lonng wan. Delay is their tactics.

2-Don’t ever raise your voice or talk rudely to an officer, they don’t like it.

3- Be calm, don’t give them any reason to hit,slap or rough handle you. If they start, they won’t stop until you beg for negotiation.

4- try not to speak vernacular, always speak and reply in English. dem self Dey look face make dem no go beat minister pickin

5- and if them say make una Dey go station, kindly or simply follow them.



Follow them to their station, it’s either they take you to the back of the station where they conduct their illegal business or to the front of the police station to scare you. Either way it’s just to waste your time.

After a while, probably evening they’d ask you to go. Just like that? Yeah, like that. They have many clients than waste their time on a bad market.

Good morning Nairalanders, I created this thread to talk about my experience with the police yesterday, I was coming from Ozoro, Delta State after spending 2 weeks with my girlfriend whom is schooling at Ozoro polytechnic. On my way the police stopped our vehicle "toyoto sienna" so they searched all passengers bag including mine. When it got to my turn he searched my whole bag but found nothing, then he opened the small zip by the side of my bag and saw a black celophine, he opened it and saw some drugs comprising of Panadol extra, ibu profen, a condom, vitamin - C tablets and four Vega - 100 capsules. To my surprise he commanded me to follow him, my mind was completely relaxed because I knew I had nothing implicating in my bag. I followed him and he commanded me to enter into their motor which I did then he called two of his colleagues and told them that I'm with a hard drug, that I'm a rapist, It was then the animal in me came out, I told him that he should not use such words on me again. He now said instead I should be pleading I'm making mouth, I responded by letting them know that Vega-100 is a normal drug that is sold nationwide and it's not banned like tramadol. Then he responded that If I believe it's not harmful that I should swallow the 4 capsules and see what would happen to me, he said if I'm having problems with my manhood why didn't I go for normal roots. I was so speechless and same time furious. Then our driver came that other passengers are in a hurry that It seems he can't wait for me any longer that I should settle the police so we could all leave, he warned me that If they should carry me to their station that I would be paying a lot. He went to talk to the police and came back to me that they said I should bring 15k I pleaded and settled with 10k in which they refused to accept anything lesser than that. According to highly reliable sources Apple are alleged to soon start scanning American Phones for Child Pornography. If that happens It's a Major Breach of Privacy that has never been done before. The Internet sources allege if Apple finds Child Pornography it will Contact An Anti_ Child Pornography institution. That would meanif the story is true Apple have joined the Legal Team of America. Its the same Apple that refused to give the FBI information about suspected fugitives who used iPhone. If the whole thing is true I am not surprised about Apples decisions ; Apple Died the Very Day Steve Jobs died . Had Steve Jobs being alive he would have moved away from the iPhone to something else. Jobs was A Genius . The only people who buy iPhones are people who know absolutely zero about phones; Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi have eclipsed anything Apple can bring out. Apple is playing catch up in so many areas from Cameras to Batteries.
The Danger in the allegation of Apples new scanning is this , When people learn their Phones are being scanned the Trust for anything Apple will go out of the window. Once Apple starts to play the role of watcher then users will start watching Apple and begin to Question why Apple did not put chargers in their latest phones. Does anyone trust the police ?
If by chance someone has Pornography of a midget and it is viewed as being a child when it is an adult the lawsuit and noise from the whole drama can make alot of people leave Apple. That the iPhone Still Exists is a Miracle or it goes to show how blind people are.
