My first thing to do is to reorganize the legal system to a justice system where no one is above the law. Sanitize the court operations, build more court rooms, appoint several new judges with impeccable character such that court cases will a short time to conclude. This will go along way to deal with impunity in our country. Prison system will be reorganize to flush out the present state of corrupt officials. Gifted inmates will be given opportunity to contribute to society from jail in exchange for improved prison terms. The police will be professionalised, more science oriented graduates with be recruited and trained for more intellectual and confident officer. There 'll insurance for all rank of officers, better barracks with healthcare facilities and education endowment for children of officers who died in active service. Fire service will be professionalised and better equipped for quality service. National assembly will be part time and their remuneration will be like less than those Drs, Nurses and other healthcare workers. There 'll severe punishment for public service fraud. Can't even right up to 20%of what I would do. The fact is that these changes can only be through military system, not through political leadership or system like now because they 'll frustrate or eliminate such a leader. |
One4me:One of the Agberos of Benin spotted. |
AroleOduduwa2:You have it all.. |
Binikingdowm:You forgot that PDP won Presidential elections in Edo last year... Edo people hate Oshiomhole and they'll vote against him and party if Obaseki goes to PDP. PDP has more senators in Edo than APC so, APC will need to use violence to rig and inec has worned that they'll not tolerate violence. Oshiomhole has plotted to cause blood shed in Edo and he better wait for it... |
joelag:I guess so.. |
Videx99:Their comments tell you how daft they are and tomorrow they'll say country bad...but they support bad and dirty politicians. |
All miscreants youths comments above are a sign that Nigerian youths have no idea what they want in governance. They hail impunity yet they all will love to relocate to Canada or elsewhere that law works. They celebrate dirty political manoeuvres but they complain about bad government. E go tey una for suffer head well well because na una dey clap for hand for una slave masters. Me I have tasted part of when Nigeria was working and good and safe but these mentality of their generation they 'll never know or experience good governance. |
etibaba:After O level, he did another 3yrs of "A"level at I.C.E, Benin and with that he met the requirements for direct entry of 3yrs in UI But this politicians are deliberately overlooking that aspect because most people will not pay attention to it. They are only trying mislead the public in order to weaken his popularity. |
NnadyAutos:Don't mind them, they have deliberately overlooked his 3yrs studies for A level at I.C.E that qualified for a 3yrs in the university. These are ploys politicians use to distract the average uninformed citizens knowing fully that many people don't read and many millennials on Naira Land are not aware of the once famous Institute of Continuing Education ICE Benin because it has been closed down some btw 1999 and may 2017 or thereabouts. These certificate issues will fly in the court, it's just plot to hoodwink the undescerning and weak his support. |
solmus:Obaseki is not career jobless politician, he's big player in Corporate Nigeria and owner of Afrinvest, an investment, funds managers and money market company. So, don't lose sleep over his future outside of politics. Only Edo people will lose and suffer from the truncation of the novel ideas and governance that he has |
DoubleEngine007:Obaseki has been working and Edo people want him to continue. It's the party "share the money gang" and Oshiomhole thugs that are trying all they can to remove him. Obaseki's popularity is such that if he decides to decamp, pdp will rush him as their candidate. |
The Institute of Continuing Education I.C.E, Benin was the school many of us who didn't make WAEC at first attempt went to, which was designed to brush up students for O.Level and A classes and later Jamb lectures. The sch had the best teachers and study classes that was better than most schools in Bendel state then. It was like a semi- University or bridge to Higher Education. So, Obaseki went through a good program to qualify him for university admission. Although the school had been discontinued since the advent of the current democratic dispensation. I attended the school to prepare and retake my WAEC in 1988, Jamb lectures in 1989/90 and I redeemed myself by scoring 2As and 5 Cs to have clean one piece result for university admission. Oshiomhole and Co are only trying to ridicule him because he understands that most average Nigerian are gullible and they 'll believe Obaseki was a dull student. The man has since distinguished himself in Corporate Nigeria. |
NNAMDIII:Forget that theory, ladies would rather have you changed to their taste than step up with your interest. I love to watch history and documentaries only and I like to versatile just to know a little about alot of things that I can comprehend. My wife on the other hand spends endless hours on Instagram. When she picks up a topic from there and I take up to take her deep, she loses concentration and interest, she gets lost easily. How do you educate such a person? |
QuadrilAyinde:Guy, don't waste your time or expectations on her in that regard, she's not the type and like most girls she will never have interest in such things. The ladies that deep and cerebral are deep and cerebral but the average shallow-minded ones will always be where they like to be. |
Binikingdowm:As far as you're not receiving a share of the money from him, you won't see it. Nothing else counts to you beyond the money to share.... |
dangoteinlaw:All these blackmail because he didn't allow Agberos and their god fathers to continue govt money sharing as usual. The same Oshiomhole awarded same contracts multiple times to look which has become a huge burden for the state resources. He thought Obaseki will be a foot mat for him to keep matching on to cover his tracks but Obaseki defiance has led Oshiomhole's paranoia hence, he must find a stooge to do his bidding else, Obaseki's 2nd term will be a night mare for Oshiomhole if Obaseki chooses to expose him. |
Binikingdowm:You don't know or pretend not to know because you choose to ignorant. Stomach infrastructure mentality |
haryorbarmie83:That's how stupid some of you are? You can't even think, you believe every lie some people say because that's what you want to hear. Those who said he forged certificate should paste it online for public scrutiny... |
Lostz:PDP only won the Presidential elections in Edo but not the guber.... Ize-Iyamu's goof at Igninedion's birthday party turned their early anti-Oshiomhole sentiment advantage back to Obaseki. |
themaestro08:It's the anti-men brainwash that 3rd wave feminists are doing to them but they're too myopic to look beyond the surface. Let dem go ahead one day, their eye go clear... |
Heyzee5: Only on the condition bolded here. A friend/colleague of mine operating on this divine instruction married an SS husband and she herself has an SS sister. Because of divine providence, they have 3 healthy boys and her husband is in his late 40s now though still occasional crisis they're going on strong. Without a certainty of divine instruction, DO NOT TRY IT ELSE UNA GO HEAR WEEN! |
dobnina:Gbam! Nothing to add. Him eye go clear soonest... |
Exc2000:Look at your ignorance, you think Obaseki is a career politician that does nothing but feed from govt. You should ask where he came from, he's big private sector equity and money market investor with several companies in stock brokerage and investment and boardroom expert. If efcc is to go after anybody, it's Oshiomhole that has skeletons to hide which he's increasingly afraid of that Obaseki is no longer likely hide his skeleton as he's not ready to remain silence. |
Slawormir:You be olodo full stop, ;Dna technical college you suppose go but you no hear, you want claim "I'm a graduate" ![]() I beg to farm to feed the nation joor and you find joy and money with peace of mind. ![]() |
blessme105:This is why believe that Nigeria will never get anything right politically because they youth who are crying today do not know who a true leader should and how to support one if he or she shows up to lead. What should loyalty be about or who should you be loyal to? Politics should a means leadership for the advancement of a given society and not an end itself. Obaseki is not being accused of failure to deliver governance as he promised but his refusal to dance to the old tune of a stooge and let thugs empowerment continue in Edo state is the reason they want him out and you people are looking at the politics as end that Oshiomhole is championing. As an Edo native who's familiar with our peculiar myopic political ideas of our recent political office holders, Obaseki came with a vision to change our people'smentality and leadership ideology and he's been seen to working at it but those who enjoy the chaos are hell bent of killing that ideology and Oshiomhole is using his clout to enhance it and you people clap this idea of politics? Outside APC, Obaseki personal style of governance has earned him massive support and popularity and given a free and fair election even Oshiomhole himself can't even beat Obaseki out side APC walls that's a fact. So, this bad application of principles betray the facts of those principles. |
Oyerinde16:The same loyalty that Lucky Igbinedion had for Tony Anenih that left Edo state 20yrs behind others abi? People with this mindset are just party rats that feed from party table. What they get is the only thing that matters to them.. |
martineverest:You see them? Na this kind of people go dey shout Naija don dabaru finish but dem dey support bad leaders... Dem no get sense... |
truthsayer009:I tire oh! Until you're married you'll no idea of what a woman is. But if the protest in U.S. is about black men who are victims of a systematic dehumanization and elimination of black men. The system also set up black women to also dehumanize black men too and raise children without men who're thrown out of the house with the slightest excuse of misunderstanding. |
olaks4real:They were equally informed about it but they wanted to stiffle his govt, with excuses that they're processing some documents or whatever when they were actually having secret meeting in Abuja. Their game plan failed and if they wanted to they could have been since been sworn in but they refused to. |
MoIbrahim:Your comment shows you have no idea what's going on. Party primary is not for all Edo people but by only party members to select who 'll represent their party in state elections. And talking primaries, part of constitutional requirements for direct primaries is a comprehensive members register updated every 6months but this is not available because they have not met this condition. Secondly, with restrictions on people movement due to Corona virus infection, all party members can't gather from the different parts of the state to one location for the primaries. So, only indirect promaries is suitable under the circumstances. Even when there was no restrictions 4yrs ago in Edo it was indirect primaries they used so, why the change to direct primaries now? Oshiomhole is the illogical one who's risking people lives by demanding mass movement of party members to gsther for the direct primaries because that's where he fancies his chance of rigging Obaseki out. I hope you're educated now? |
Sakamaje:Obaseki plotted no coup against Oshiomhole, he served Oshiomhole's govt for 8yrs with his intellectual and economic know-how to help Oshiomhole deliver. Now, Oshiomhole started the aggression because his Agbero boys in Edo were not getting public funds to share as they were used and they compelled Oshiomhole to use his influence to prevail on Obaseki to do their bidding which he refused. Hence, they started manoeuvring politically to impeach him through the state assembly but he checkmated them. That's the grand plan to push him out came to be. Are they after him for failure in governance, NO! Why you people condone political power abuse to detriment of governance? Igninedion's govt failed woefully because of similar activities and influence by Tony Anenih, same thing happened in Oyo or Oshun with Adedibu overbearing on the guvnor. We all clamour for infrastructural, political and human development as seen abroad but we celebrate stupid political reasoning and myopic power mongers in govt, is that how those advanced countries led their people do the things we admire and desire to enjoy? Blaming Obaseki for standing against political irresponsibility by Oshiomhole is the reason we always have poor governance, we celebrate the political power play rather than emphasis of delivering of governance. I beg make Nigerians dey get sense reason well... |
ecstasy357:This is educating the people especially women who have become men haters and preach same on account of their sad experience with a man or two. Great job Sir. |
