I Honestly wish PDP wins this election, the PDP candidate has something to offer better than obaseki honestly speaking.

It's high time we stop voting a particular political party for more than 8years.

I wish POI truly wins so he can uncover Oshi omo le looting äss.

I don't care if any mòtherfcuker quote me.
What can he say that he didn't participate in? Was he not with Oshio for 6yrs until he felt his ambition to be guvnor will not get Oshiomhole's blessing and he ran back to his vomit. He shared the money with Igbinedion for 8yrs.

I perfectly understand you. Truth is Oshiomhole outclassed his predecessor in infrastructure. But the grouse against him have bothered on multiple taxation, hike in tax rates, introduction of new forms of taxes, employment scam, and foremost of all the imposition of Obaseki as his successor. I cannot deny the fact that Oshiomhole is very popular in Edo still. If he was the one contesting, he would have won by a large margin, unfortunately he isn't.

Edo loves Oshiomhole for his great works, but not apc as a party. Results from the last presidential elections showed that Edo voters preferred pdp to apc. So you see where I am coming from. Edo people vote personality and not party. Oshiomhole should be blamed if Obaseki loses at the polls. He, Obaseki, does not command followership, Edo people do not want this. Let me point out to you that if Iyamu is voted today, it is a vote for him and not for pdp. This election bothers wholly on personality, not party.

Well I know Oshiomhole will feel betrayed if Edo people abandon his handpicked successor for Iyamu now that he needs them to 'reward' him for his good performance. I would really feel for him. He did well. But the choice belongs to the people...and power belongs to GOD.
Well said, but with Igbinedion around and looking for another opportunity to retake Edo and strength his political based it will be mistake. Its an error to assume that POI will be independent when Igbinedion and Aneni are still kicking.
It's also an error to conclude that oshio imposed Obaseki on Edo.
In 1999, Ogbemudia took Lucky Igbinedion by hand and campaigned for him. People have forgotten about that.
Obaseki is a technocrat not political prostitute or career politician. Hence having worked behind the scenes with Oshio feels he can be trusted to keep their development programmes running unlike the other career politicians.
The Lagos model started by Tinubu has paid well for Lagos.
Talking about taxation, if a state lacks sufficient revenue generation to boost development what else should the govt do, sit down and laments while the tenure ends uneventful?
There's general lack of awareness of the workings of govt in Edo and people want things to happen but without their efforts, thats wishful thinking.
I was born, raised and educated in Benin hence, I know how the average person there thinks. If the POI wins the days of Adedibu in Oyo or Oshun state will resurrect in Benin. POI is the tool for Igbinedion to pocket Edo.

These were all done by Oshiomhole's administration.
That's continuity Edo needs not the hate propagated just for election campaign purposes.

Are you kidding me?

Don't tell me you can't still see it yet.

The girl is getting emotional because the post is all about her.

She knows it and that's why she's getting so effing defensive and trying to make a comparison with the aim of creating a diversion.

Personally, I don't believe in popular opinion or generalization.

But in this case, if you take your time to study things closely, you will find that there are some examples here and there that support this claim.

Personally, I know a girl whose mom is a single mom. Today, she's divorced. She's now a single mom to her daughter...

If you ask me, I'll say that this single mom syndrome is perpetuated simply because the bitter mom will most probably be filling her daughters' heads with lots and lots of bad stories about men while the daughter is still young.

When the young girl grows up, she starts watching out for those 'faults' in all men.

And at the first sign of those 'faults', she's like: yes, mom said it!!!

And out, she bails!

And another single mom is created.

CuteMorriz if you noticed, the girl you were responding to has already mentioned that there's nothing good about men. Who do you think she learnt that from?

You see what I'm saying?
Ladies raised by single never-married and divorced or left marriage early moms are the very example applicable here.
I have seen it from close quarters.
Its quite a different but better situation with widowed or late divorced single mom raised ladies.
This category of ladies have experienced to some extent full parental influence.

Due to the relatively less brutal nature of Anini and his Gang he doesn't deserve to be #1 on the list compared with the other less ranked.
I was in class 4 in secondary school at the time, i.e 1986.
His violence was mostly against the Police men as vergeance for killing his friend after he settled detective Iyamu who still executed his friend afterwards.
He was more popular for being elusive to capture than for his brutality in general.

49cents:
I love Ambode but why is the state government doing LG roadshuh?

The LGs must be allowed to be free from the SG's stranglehood and then we will see rapid infrastructural development!!

Africans and their hold on power is so bad,.....imagine if PDP, Accord and Kowa have just a local government each where they collect Land Use charges and taxes for their LG then you will see competition among LGs with the beneficiaries being the people....
Theory, local government were created autonomous with federal allocation to bring grassroot developments. But from 1999-2007, nothing happened. While the populace were looking up to state govts, LG chairmen and councillors were busy sharing monthly allocations without supervision or intereference from SG.
SG started controlling the LG funds and elections afterwards because nothing was coming out of LG areas with billions the SG released to from FG.
Abiodun Faleke the Kogi aborted Deputy Govnor was LG Chairman in Ojodu LDC in Lagos for at least 8yrs.
That's where he got all the money influence to rise the level in Kogi.
LG administrations in Nig are a complete SCAM in all the states.
Sports › Wladimir Klitschko V Tyson Fury Postponed: World Heavyweight Rematch On Hold by DeRay98(op): 9:03am On Sep 24, 2016
Tyson Fury
The rematch - which was first postponed in June - was scheduled for 29 October
British world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has postponed his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko for a second time because he is "medically unfit".

Promoters did not disclose details but said "the condition is too severe to allow him to participate".

Fury, 28, beat Ukraine's Klitschko on points in the first bout between the pair in November

The original rematch, scheduled for 9 July at Manchester Arena, was postponed in June after Fury injured his ankle.

The rearranged rematch - with the WBA and WBO belts on the line - had been scheduled for 29 October.

"Tyson will now immediately undergo the treatment he needs to make a full recovery," Hennessey Sports added.

"We and Tyson wish to express our sincerest apologies to all those concerned with the event and all the boxing fans who had been looking forward to the rematch. Tyson is understandably devastated by the development.

"We will be making a further statement in due course."

At a media conference before the initial scheduled rematch in April, Fury taunted Klitschko by telling him he was beaten by "a fat man" in their first encounter.

In August, Fury was charged with a doping offence by the UK's anti-doping body Ukad, with a hearing into the alleged violation to take place in November.

Analysis

By Ben Dirs, BBC Sport:

"Few in the fight game will be surprised to hear that Fury-Klitschko II is off again.

"Last week, Fury failed to show up to a press conference in London, at which Klitschko said he suspected the rematch would never happen.

"Rumours have circulated that he has not been training and there is a real possibility that he will be stripped of his world titles, having not defended them since dethroning Klitschko last November."

Politics › Cut Allowances, Do Not Sell Assets Falana Tell Senate by DeRay98(op): 2:23pm On Sep 23, 2016
A human rights lawyer, FEMI FALANA SAN, and a lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,  LAWRENCE ADEROTIMI,  have called on members of the Senate to trim their high allowances and curb government spending instead of calling for the sale of national assets to address the economic recession.

In a statement, FALANA said Nigeria had never benefitted from the sale of national assets in the past because they were undervalued and sold to unscrupulous politicians.

He recalled that the official residence of the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives were sold to Senator DAVID MARK and DIMEJI BANKOLE at less than quarter of their true value.

FALANA reminded the senators that since they had sworn to always put the interest of Nigerians first, the lawmakers should ensure equitable distribution of national wealth.

ADEROTIMI on his part  urged the Federal Government to seek alternative solution to the current recession rather than focusing on the sale of National assets.

Celebrities › Greedy Giant Python Dies From Eating Big Antelope by DeRay98(op): 12:15pm On Sep 23, 2016
This is the gruesome moment a greedy python bit off more than he could chew when he died after eating an antelope - WHOLE.

The 20ft python thought the antelope would make an almighty meal but the animal proved to be its last ever supper.

Villagers in Baliavad, India, spotted the serene rolling around with an abnormally large belly having strangled and devoured the antelope just minutes earlier.

However, barely able to move the snake died just moments later.

Sunil Kumar, who witnessed the entire episode, said: “I found the python lying on the road. It was struggling to digest the animal it had swallowed.

Full up: The snake tried to regurgitate its meal before it died (Caters)

"It was one of the most spectacular moments I have ever witnessed as the python was unbelievably huge.”

Experts believe the snake tried and failed to regurgitate the antelope before it died.

Deputy Conservator of Forest R Senthilkumaran said: “It succumbed to the internal injuries caused by the swallowing the antelope.”

Pythons can go on for several weeks or months after eating a large meal.
