Celebrities › Re: Ugezu: Doing DNA Test Not African, A Child That Calls African Man Father Is His by derecho(m): 6:30pm On Feb 21, 2022
Why fight for what's not yours? If you can overlook your unfaithful wife's wickedness why deprive the real father his child?

@the kid being born into your house
It's akin to a stolen property brought into your house and given to you as a gift and someone came to prove it belongs to him.You can ONLY fight for what you're sure belongs to you, friend.

This DNA thing shouldn't have been an issue if not for the unfaithfulness/wickedness of nowadays girls.
Olafisoyem:
I think he has a point. If the kid was born into your house, with your name, with you as the father on the birth certificate and you have taken responsibility for the child then it’s your child.

If the biological father comes and tries to take him away you can refuse it, fight it and even the law will back you up.

You can do a test if you like but even after if you choose to keep the child it’s up to you.

Even when you discovered the real father?
This is beyond sentiment. If every girl know that men would insist on DNA, some out of shame would stop this nonsense. This was what encouraged chastity in the past, until men started condoning this useless behavior of girls.

I believe in forgiveness but not until I know what I'm forgiving.

Fidelity is expected from the man too.
jumper524:
I share same sentiment.
Imagine training a child fir years only for DNA to say he's not my child??
The mother of the child would be punished for betrayal while the child would always remain my child.
A functional parent is more respected to both God and humanity than a biological parent..

I don't intend to delve into other shades, friend.

Hope you know the potential needs to be developed?

No doubt, the unregenerated man is desperately wicked BUT why are the blacks not leaning towards racism as we always accuse the white? Don't they have the potential to be racists?

In a way, I believe a complex is always playing out. Just as short men or feminists would misinterpret any normal misunderstanding.
I wish I could share a story told by D.K Olukoya in one of his messages titled "Analysis of Trouble".
Suffice it to say,it takes two to tango.
Asour:
Maybe, but maybe you're the one projecting too.
All humans are [capable] of doing bad things. Even the 'good' ones. We're fallible, ALL of us.

Potential means latent quality/ability. We ALL CAN be bad if we don't constantly watch ourselves.

Cheers.

Friend, everything is perception. Except you are talking about the hags "greencard-seeking" folks marry.Who told you it's the trash black men marry? Oh until they marry the Queen of England before they can be considered to have won a jackpot? There are young intelligent black undergraduates who got married to beautiful white undergraduates. Different things connect people other than skin color- e.g same "color" of faith, intelligence etc
Above all, just as the "small-minded" blacks cherish white ladies, some white ladies also desire black men.
okwadatigbogal:
This is what most white people think towards blacks. they are just polite enough to keep the thoughts to themselves.
That's why I laugh when a see a small-minded Nigeria boy who marry a white girl and then starts insulting black/Nigerian women. If you look well, most of those women have serious self esteem issues and were most likely rejected by their white men. they now turn to inferiority complex black men who will think they have hit jackpot. Even the quality of white women that these black men marry are very different from the ones white men marry. Most black men who end up with white women literarily marry the 'white trash' among them.

There's a solidarity amongst white people, no matter where they are from. You are black and YOU CAN NEVER be one of them because majority do not consider you their equal. Know this and know peace. Until BLACK men start to level up in society just like Asian men have, this will forever be a problem.

Asour:
He's right though, He said 'Potential racist' not a racist. It's like saying ALL men are potential liars. Would that be wrong? Aren't all men capable of lying?
Though "potential" has different shades of meaning, the idea the poster intends to pass across is that they are all racists but only masking it. This I find untrue.

Look at it this way,
If you birthed a white kid in say Borno and no one tells him that the white man is superior, how do you think he'll behave? If care is not taken, he might feel odd and beg for inclusion.

I believe someone is re-enforcing the white supremacist mentality that's why those "racists" behave that way.

I wonder what excites people about this kind of lifestyle- giving to/wasting money on a "billionaire".
I don't think this is the desire of any wise man who wants to be wealthy. Only those given to this kind of life would be thrilled by these.
Many may not like Davido's showy lifestyle but most commended his donation to the orphanages.

I don't know where you copied what you wrote.
I know the facts can't be the same.

I decided to just help you with the bolded (osinbajo)

Osinbajo was educated at Corona primary School, in Lagos. He attended Igbobi College in Yaba, Lagos, from 1969 to 1975,[3] where he won the following awards: the State Merit Award (1971); the School Prize for English Oratory (1972); Adeoba Prize for English Oratory (1972-1975); Elias Prize for Best Performance in History (WASC, 1973); School Prize for Literature (HSC, 1975); and African Statesman Intercollegiate Best Speaker's Prize (1974).

Thereafter he studied for his undergraduate degree at the University of Lagos between 1975 and 1978, when he obtained a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) Degree in Law. Here, he also won the Graham-Douglas Prize for Commercial Law. In 1979, he completed the mandatory one-year professional training at the Nigerian Law School whereon he was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. In 1980, he attended the London School of Economics, where he obtained a Master of Laws degree.

AnanseK:
*WHERE WAS ASUU?*

As ASUU said it's unacceptable to award Professorship to someone outside the University and working for Government, where was ASUU when:

*Professor Ngozi Osarenren* got her Professorship in Department of Education Foundation at University of Lagos, when she was a Commissioner of Education in Edo State.

Same University of Lagos appointed *Abdul-Rasheed Kunle Lawal* Professor when he was a Commissioner in Lagos State.

University of Ibadan awarded Professorship to *Musibau Babatunde* when he was SSA to the Governor of Oyo State.

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) appointed *Ibrahim Maqari* and *Musa Usman* Professors while they were not Lecturers.

Usman Dan Fodio Sokoto (UDUS) appointed a former Lecturer, Associate Professor when he has been away from the University since 1996. Same UDUS appointed another run-away Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture Professor when he was away working for Zamfara State. Similarly, another Faculty of Law Staff became Associate Professor when he was away working for Government. Ditto *Dr Abdullahi Balarabe* who got his PhD when he was Speaker of Sokoto StateHouse of Assembly. .

In 2013, *Dr Muhammad Ali Pate* was a Minister of Health when he was appointed a Professor of Public health Leadership a Havard T.H. Chan School of Public health.

*Okereke Onyiuke* of Stock Exchange was appointed Professor by a South-East University.

*Wole Soyinka, Osibanjo, and many others* never got MA or PhD but were appointed Professors.

*PROF. JERRY GANA* also got his Professorship after leaving the University several years and was working as head of Government Agency.

*SO, WHY SHOULD PANTAMI'S ONLY BE ASUU'S HEADACHE?*

We've a lot of "achievements" from the past from both sides. However, never delude yourself to think you are better than the other guy because you're of Yoruba or Igbo descent.
The child of a slave,Samuel Ajayi Crowther, translated the Bible into Yoruba language and created the template for the translation of the Igbo Bible. I wonder the noise about slavery

It is utter foolishness to just hate/derogate someone simply because he's from another tribe.

I have heard igbos tag Yoruba people dirty but don't we have Igbo people who are dirty?
Many Yoruba kids have been brainwashed that igbos wake their parents with "flying tackles" and many grow up with that warped mentality. Are we saying we don't have rude Yoruba kids?

Many of these stereotypes are incorrect.

I know of people who harbour such nonsense even as Pastors...imagine what these would counsel when A Yoruba girl who wants to marry an Igbo man come to them?

Two things you can not associate with the Yoruba; unclothedness and Cannibalism.

Yoruba don't have a history of walking naked and cannibalism. And here is why; the Yoruba have centuries old cloth weaving technology called Ofi or Asooke and the yoruba have always had food in abundance because there is abundance of water bodies and land. That is why the Yoruba are not land locked and barren.

Those two are never part of Yoruba culture.

You won't just adjudge a teacher best teacher simply because one of his students got the highest score in a subject rather it'd be his ability to understand students and bring out the best in them.
Friend, there's a marked difference between having parents who are all talk and no real life examples. Children are good observers but may not be good interpreters. Those people you are referring to are likely to have seen their parents as pretenders...it has been registered somewhere in their brain.Hence, when they are free, they try to explore the other life.
Like you alluded, it's about conviction. If the parents aren't convincing and their training productive, chances are, the child would give the other life a try.
It's very rare for a ward to try a vice he/she is convinced is ignoble. As a human, there'll be temptations but there are somethings some children will NEVER do.

True words, do u know there are some people that are well equipped morally but because of societal drifts and peer pressure they switched, yes I agree 100% good parental training drops deposits of responsibilities in you but the real truth is the individual that has these parental trainings, is he/her ready to use ithuh Go to the university hostels, co-habitation is a norm, trace the root of these babes doing such, u will see most have good parental upbringing.

Never underrate the place of good training.
Most people would behave well if they received proper training.

Akin to saying one would deliberately want to suffer when you have access to the same thing and the legitimate way is easier and more honorable.

It's partly because the society now encourages nonsense that's why a girl would shamelessly go and co-habit with someone who doesn't value you.
Again, many parents are ill-equipped and bad examples to their wards.

Training is deliberate and every parent who knows that the shame would return to them if their wards are misfits, would do ALL it takes.

Do you know, you won't want to disappoint those you love? If very early a wise parent bonds with a child and provides correct leadership, the child won't choose a disgraceful route.

On the other hand, if you have parents who believe it's normal to mess up yourself morally and it's impossible to be sexually pure, ONLY God will help that child o.

Parenting na big responsibility o.
Don't be surprised if we later find out that the lady's parents weren't properly married.
