This is not a state sponsored hacking. This can be done by any hacker in and outside Iran who is not pleased with what US did recently. Even a script kiddie can do that. You people think Iran would retaliate by just defacing a website? Lol. A country that has hacked into US drones over its airspace in the past.

In 2011 and 2012 Donald Trump repeatedly accused President Barack Obama of seeking war with Iran to help win the 2012 presidential election.

Tweets from back in 2011 and 2012 in which Donald Trump predicted that President Barack Obama would start a war with Iran to secure his reelection have gone viral, after the US assassinated a top Iranian general, dramatically escalating its confrontation with Iran.

Trump personally ordered the killing by airstrike oftop Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani, who died in the early hours of Friday near an airport in Baghdad, Iraq.

The Pentagon said that Soleimani "was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region."

Trump's only statement was to tweet a picture of the US flag.

Despite his evident pride at the attack, many on social media seized on his previous posts where, with Obama in the White House, Trump had condemned the idea of military action against Iran as foolish electioneering.

Trump, then best known as a reality TV star and real estate developer, hammered home the point in a 2011 video filmed in his Trump Tower office.

After Obama successfully won reelection, Trump continued to claim that he was seeking war with Iran.

Trump's attacks on Obama's Iran policy came amid heightened tensions over Iran's quest to build a nuclear missile, which the Obama administration had sought to halt.

Israel, a key US ally in the Middle East, had threatened air strikes against Iran to cripple its nuclear program. But with Obama having pledged to limit US entanglement in foreign conflicts, the administration was wary of conflict with Iran.

During his second term Obama sought rapprochement with Iran and its new reformist president, Hassan Rouhani, successfully negotiating the Iran nuclear deal that saw the Islamic republic halt its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

During Trump's three years in power tensions with Iran have escalated, with the president scrapping the nuclear deal in 2018 and introducing new, punishing sanctions.

Iran responded with a series of attacks on the US and its allies, culminating in an attack on the US embassy in Baghdad Tuesday by protesters of an Iran-backed militia.

Trump's approval rating are currently languishing at 42.4 %, according to pollsters FiveThirtyEight, and moving into 2020 he will become the first US president in history to face an impeachment trial while running for reelection.

The last president to be impeached, Bill Clinton, also faced accusations of launching a foreign military strike to distract voters from his domestic political woes.

Back in December 1998, Clinton authorized airstrikes against the regime of then Iraqi president Saddam Hussein, only a day after the House of Representatives accused him of "high crimes and misdemeanors" in relation to his affair with intern Monica Lewinsky.

America had been looking for a way to get back at Iran after Iran shot down her drone last year but she has been so confused about how to do it. All she kept doing was sending additional troops and equipment to middle east. Isn't this an act of cowardice? Striking a military General on another country's soil. It's a gross violation of intl law and the violation of Iraq sovereign airspace.

If it was Iran that did this the whole world would start shouting Iran is a terrorist state this and that now that America has done it I think Iran is now free to attack Americans in the region with impunity remember Iran's military does not need to do this itself they have thousands of proxies that can help them achieve such in that region.

I was even expecting U.S warplanes to fly over Iran and strike military targets but only U.S knows what is restraining her, may be Mr Trump does not want innocent civilians to die according to what he said last year. lolssss

If you understood why Mr Trump decided not to strike Iran when America's global hawk drone was shot down last year June then you will see the truth. Iran is in a better position in that region, oh yea U.S is the most powerful country on earth? But is America ready to be bogged down by another enervating war like that of Iraq?

America spent 1 trillion dollar servicing that war add hundreds of american troops died in a needless war. Is the world ready to witness another oil crisis/shock? Can't you see that European countries have started using their heads they won't allow america to put them into trouble this time. look at the way Germany refused U.S plea to join her naval coalition in the gulf.

If Mr Trump does not see the consequences of the aftermath of a strike on Iran then he should go ahead to do that. Remember the Persians are even ready for war they don't care about whatever happens but i know if Mr Trump is not using his head to think ordinary Americans can think they won't allow their children to die in any needless war anymore, it happend in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan but they won't allow it repeat itself this time.

Iran knows all these that's why they have the courage to tell America it can't do anything. And the truth is America can't do nothing because they know the consequences and Iran knows the consequences too that is why they won't attack America unprovoked.

Critical thinking is needed here una go dey brag about U.S might why didn't U.S win the Vietnam war with all her might? Why did U.S pull out of Vietnam with all her might? Why didn't America win Iraq war within a week and avoid casuality with all her might? Why didn't NATO decimate Afghan Taliban with all their might? They have spent 17yrs in Aghanistan without any success now they are negotiating with the Taliban cause they are tired and everyone wants to pull out. War na toy?

America turned Iraq to what it is today and they think the Iraqis would forget just like that. They are ready to give America the treatment it deserves this time.
