The only thing that gives them joy is the negative news about Nigeria
The only thing that gave parents joy when raising their kids was that they could use real life examples to put you alright. So when police arrests an erring neighbour or a thief is beaten blue-black, they gleefully use that opportunity to correct kids choices at an early age.

How that worked out for your life choices today is another matter for discussion but safe to say, we are grateful to have an opportunity to raise your cohort right. 🤗

It's a good thing if he has met his end. A critical lesson to those who are seeking to cut corners tomorrow. Death to all dishonest persons corrupting the next generation!

How Yoruba people residing in SouthWest Nigeria are more informed about this nonentity is quite a wonder. If you watch, most people providing updates about this quite unproductive fellow are well-announced Yorubas here. What is the source of their information? 🤔

PoliticsRe: Tin-Can Customs Records 110.8% Growth In Non Oil Export by DesChyko:
As someone said up there, go and learn 'How to export'. Just take these very few steps and you'd be ready to start any exportation:

👉An exporter must be a registered/incorporated business in Nigeria.
👉An exporter must be registered with the relevant tax authorities and have a valid tax identification number.
👉An exporter must register with the NEPC. To do so, an exporter must provide:
details of its export plan;
👉evidence of good understanding of its target market(s);
👉evidence of professional promotional materials destined for foreign markets;
👉evidence that it has the necessary human resources;
👉evidence of understanding of basic shipping terms (including pricing and documentation), obligations under Incoterms® 2010, best freight options available, and legal instruments regulating non-oil exports and imports into the target country; and
👉evidence of financial soundness.
👉An exporter must open a domiciliary account with any commercial bank in Nigeria (all export proceeds must be remitted into that account).
👉An exporter must obtain a Nigerian Export Proceeds Form (NXP Form) from the commercial bank where the account is domiciled for each export transaction.
👉To be exported, goods must be subject to inspection. Inspection agents(s) must assess the quality, quantity, and value of the goods and issue a clean certificate of inspection for the goods within 72 hours from the date of inspection (if they meet the required standards). Inspection agents include:
👉the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) (for manufactured products);
👉the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC);
👉the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), which is responsible for issuing certificates of origin;
👉the NCS, which issues Single Goods Declarations (SGDs) (that is, documents containing abridged details on imported/exported goods that must be completed by exporters or their representatives);
👉the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service, which issues phytosanitary certificates;
👉the Federal Produce Inspection Service (for agricultural commodities);
👉Colbalt International Services Ltd, which was appointed by the federal government as Nigeria's pre-export shipment agent; and
private assayers, such as SGS.
👉An exporter must obtain the required licences from the country of export.
👉An exporter must pay to a designated bank the Nigerian export supervision scheme administrative charge, which amounts to 0.5% and 0.15% of the "free on board" (FOB) value of non-oil and oil/gas exports, respectively (the amount is then remitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria).
👉An exporter must have appropriate insurance cover in place.

What's more? You don't really have the right to challenge an authority's denial of an export licence.
So, yeah, go and start exporting so you can eat dollar now that it is high. It's so easy, you see?

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy: NLC Issues Seven-Day Nationwide Strike Notice by DesChyko: 12:08pm On Jul 26, 2023
NLC should hold on. Hopefully, the rightful government with a sense of direction will be instituted soon enough. That way, all of us can be actively involved in Nation Building. You can trust him to simplify governance unlike this current one that is applying quotient rule to solve a problem of basic mensuration.

Besides, His Excellency, Peter Gregory Obi will address Nigerians this Saturday. His words always have a calming effect on citizens under duress, instilling hope for a better and brighter tomorrow. NLC will do well to listen in. A better and more sustainable approach may be discussed.

CrimeOgbete Traders Protests Locked Shops In Enugu.. One Shot Dead. by DesChyko(op): 12:06pm On Jul 26, 2023
Some traders at the Ogbete Main Market in Enugu State, on Wednesday, protested the sealing of their shops and stores by the State Government.

Many residents were yet to comply with the governor’s directive to end the 'sit at home' out of fear of possible attack by unknown gunmen terrorizing the state and the South East.

Due to the non-compliance, the governor ordered the closure of banks and businesses at the Ogbete main market and other parts of the state for not opening on Monday.

The state government said the affected shops will be closed for one week and also gave conditions that the affected traders must meet before their shops would be reopened.

The development has now sparked a protest by Ogbete market traders who took to the street to condemn the action of the governor. In the video shared by NTA, the traders were seen asking if it is by force to run their business.

During the protest, a trader was shot dead.

Childfree:
My best guess is that the bottle was cut, the items were then put inside then sealed. Hence the white stuff at the base probably to cover it up.
But this is just a guess at the end of the day. If those things did not get in before the bottle was made(or finished with heat), then I have to believe those things were invoked into the bottle. I've seen models without any thing tied underneath sold as herbs by Togolese. I repeat, nothing was tied underneath, just good old bottles.

Stupid Stupid Stupid

How much is the cost of governance in Nigeria? How can you pocket humongous sums 'you don't need' that would go a long way to put measures in place for the average citizens and stand to talk of lesser evil?

It takes a pure heart to guage which evil is lesser or greater; not a polluted greedbag!

mycar:
Peter Obi that champion the crusade of saving and was not listened
Peter Obi was actually listened to. He was part of the Economic Team that saved $9bn in the ECA (Excess Crude Account) when crude oil sold higher than was estimated for in the budget. The FG bought the idea then.

It was those who are now at the forefront of APC as a party that ended that plan. They were Governors then, the likes of Oshiomole, Fashola, Aregbesola, e.t.c. Add Akpabio and Amaechi. They kept crying and fighting and arguing every meeting for the money to be shared. Peter Obi was the only mentioned governor that spoke openly against them. They fought this battle and grew the ECA savings to $15bn before everything was becoming a full blown war in meetings. Then they had to share the money to states. Ask each of these governors what they achieved with that money today.. No show.

Fastforward to 2022, the budgeted cost per barrel for crude was $62. Since crude sold even up to $90 per barrel on average, we should have had at least $10bn on the ECA. Guess what? When it was last checked, it was a paltry $300k+ that was there and that was leftover from several years ago. Nothing was added.

Thieves! All of them. Thieves!

Maybe because their pay is subject to management decision.

Members of staff first begin with grudges over how their pay is being impacted. They also hold meetings amongst themselves or confidantes amongst the management on this matter. Note that no official moves have been made yet, but time is passing, nonetheless.

Then they decide to approach the management officially. They may be asked to put it in writing if the haven't done so. Some of the discussions do not go beyond this point. Some management staff will hold meetings to discuss the best approach. Time is still passing.

The implementation stage then comes in. If the prices of goods and services need to be increased, the most likely scenario is the staff will wait until when the price adjustment is in force. In the meantime, shege may be seen.

Only few organizations are proactive, they start paying hardship allowances and pay rise, expecting the rise in incoming revenue to account for it. No organization will want to run itself into financial troubles, hence the caution.

In as much as I agree that justice is being abused, ( for example, saying going to court will cause anarchy which is a really stupid take for a lawyer to say, ) I will not take this as a slight on those who were appointed and chose to defend the ugly side'. Everyone has right to a lawyer.

Ibos started the hate online on this particular website and Seun cannot deny not knowing about the Genesis of it all.
The most traceable genesis of this split was when ACN aligned with CPC. The role played by everyone leading to today was very clear. Evidence around us still point to the fact that the animosity is politically motivated.

Talking about what's going on in Nairaland, the tribal haters are banking on the anonymity. Outside, only those who have no value on their self worth actually propagate this hate for a living.

You're trying so hard to make this an Igbo-stimulated hate but you know what doesn't lie? Numbers. Do a post per day analysis of popular names here known to align tribally. Divide their total posts by the number of days since registered on Nairaland and see those topping the charts 😁

However, it's quite pointless to be making such entreaties public. It's a private decision and that's about that. My reason being that most APC trolls have multiple accounts. So by default, what you may be saying is that you won't use this account for that purpose anymore.

There is this same account that took this same strategy and has since gone dumb. Big chances are, he/she is still in the trade with another account 😉

Is there some contribution of rain to making the job easy because there is usually so little progress due to frequent interruptions and waste of materials caused by the rains, leaving the road so messy or plain unusable 🤷🏾‍♂️
