For the first time in my life, I will not be visiting home for Christmas 🥲 The reliving and reviving connections; the banter with umu age grade m ; the not buying certain things; the waking up in the mornings to nothing but bird calls and cold air, and sleeping to cricket sounds, the traipsing about with uguru . Hopefully, within the year, we'd find time to spend one of the oncoming vacations at home ♥️ |
ednut1:Get factual. How many priests are in the Catholic employ? How many are gay? If you don't have hard numbers for this utterance, then you ought to be more careful with careless assumptions. |
In the case of Catholics, it will become Church of Rome Vs Church of ![]() We've seen that with the Anglican Communion. The Church of England finds this same sex thing conducive, not the Church of Jerusalem. Nigerian Anglican Communion aligns with Church of Jerusalem. |

I'm not sure why the website went down. I'm certain it wasn't about Igbophobia because nothing is being done about that here either. Those who moved on from Nairaland are brave. Me? I can't think of any other source to get widely up-to-date on local and international information at a glance besides Nairaland. |
They can see how things look after this festive period. The highest percentage of luxury goods and what-nots are purchased during this period. They can compare their books to previous years and after factoring in inflation, make their decisions. I'm not sure what effect the plans of the Deputy Senate President will have on their books though. |
They're selling cheap publicity to their cronies. The government in power never changed so how exactly can they pin this one on anyone else but themselves? This corruption in made in APC through and through. |

And here I was thinking that is Ohaneze ndi Igbo🥲 |
The problem they will face is startup capital and investors. With the interest of the Arab nations in football picking up, that may not be too much of a challenge so long as some behemoths of a club find the idea of maximising their profits reasonable. Change is constant. |
President Muhammadu Buhari today in Abuja launched the new Naira banknotes, expressing delight that the redesigned currencies are locally produced by the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting (NSPM) PLC. Speaking at the launch, ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting, President explained in detail the basis for his approval to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to redesign the ₦200, ₦500 and ₦1000 banknotes. According to the President, “the new Naira banknotes have been fortified with security features that make them difficult to counterfeit.” He also added that the new banknotes would help the Central Bank design and implement better monetary policy objectives as well as enrich the collective memory of Nigeria’s heritage. President Buhari commended the CBN Governor and his Deputies for the initiative, while also thanking the MD, EDs and Staff of NSPM Plc “for working tirelessly with the apex bank to make the currency redesign a reality, & for printing the new Naira notes within a comparatively short time." Acknowledging that international best practice requires central banks and national authorities to issue new or redesigned currency notes every 5 to 8 years, the President noted that it is now almost 20 years since the last major redesign of the country’s local currency was done. “Banknote redesign is generally aimed at achieving specific objectives, incl. but not limited to: improving security of banknotes, mitigating counterfeiting, preserving collective national heritage, controlling currency in circulation & reducing overall cost of currency management. As is known, our local laws – specifically the Central Bank of Nigeria Act of 2007 – grants the Central Bank of Nigeria the power to issue and redesign the Naira.” “In line with this power, the Central Bank Governor approached me earlier in this year to seek my permission to embark on a currency redesign project. I considered all the facts and reasons presented before me by the Central Bank. While this may not be apparent to many Nigerians, only 4 out of the 54 African countries print their currencies in their countries, and Nigeria is one. Hence, a majority of African countries print their currencies abroad and import them the way we import other goods.” “ That is why it is with immense pride that I announce to you that these redesigned currencies are locally produced right here in Nigeria by our Security Printing and Minting PLC. ” https://twitter.com/NGRPresident/status/1595416274443673606?t=POOidh4HjU5eLMhO724QWA&s=19

Is it that she was asked to take off her jacket? |
I'm concerned over the following: 1. There is no source to the lead page at this time I posted. 2. How the OP seem to have inordinate interest in pursuing this matter. |
Difrent:You've not asked for any proof. State it explicitly. What exactly do you need to see? |
Difrent:Like I said, propaganda by all those whose interest is just to get a piece of the cake. Amaechi, Oshiomole, Akpabio, Aregbesola, Fashola, name it. All APC stalwarts today. No wonder Nigeria could save ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the ECA with their party in power. You really should be ashamed of what you represent. |
Alaigbo:All tribal bigots should flee from my presence, please! We don't dine on the same table. Find lesser men like you. |
Difrent:Another lie. There is no proof that Jonathan dipped his hand in the ECA for private use. Lies concocted by those wholeheartedly after sharing the national cake. The ECA showed growth from when he established it till when your people pushed to have it shared . If you have any record of dipping in the reserves, please, let's have the numbers. There is proof however, that APC stalwarts started clamouring to share the ECA when it was $9bn and when they eventually succeeded, it was $15bn. There is also proof that despite the upward fluctuations in the crude sales during the APC, no significant earnings were posted in the ESA. If you have record of savings to reflect the surges in oil prices after the budget was passed, you may also post it. Thanks in advance. |
Akwoobe beans, maimai na-esi. Even the formation of Premier League in 1992 led to loss of revenue by some clubs who did not benefit from being part of the inaugural PL teams. There will always be winners and losers. People who are interested should go ahead and start it. If others find it nice, they will join. |
Difrent:Nah. You lie. We had something to show for every time Nigeria sold oil higher than was budgeted for. It is the same political stalwarts currently running the APC that pushed for all of that reserve funds to be shared as national Cake. For all the time we had the same fortune under APC, no such saving of excesses were made. Now tha Naira is in free fall, we have nothing to shore up; and may very well be on course to rival Argentina and Zimbabwe. |
A quick question though; If this states were to be managing their resources themselves, would they be declared insolvent? 😏 |
This is the first few words of the achievement: Recall that the President made a bold and strategic move immediately after his swearing in with the removal of fuel subsidy. The same role they assigned to Buhari's administration when they deem it fit. It's alright. 😎 |
KingKO22:Emefiele is APC which is the party you stand for and what he everything he did is in tune with APC politics. He is just one who stood in Tinubu's way and is being made to pay for that. All of all these shows are not necessary. Emefiele will walk away at the end of it all. Spare us the drama, please. |
modernWays:Okay boss. |
Calling a dog a bad name just to kill it. The same cash scarcity Emefiele was hung for is around again when we have both old and new notes in circulation, the drumbeat has changed. I'm tired of the inherent Nigerian politics. I am tired of the average Nigerian politician and their antics. I am desperate for a New Nigeria that works, devoid of these bandwagon politicians. Modified: Some people are bent on turning this into a tribal affair. These are the same people who contributed to the last Nairaland takedown. I'm sorry, I don't walk in your shoes. Note this, Emefiele is APC . Emefiele did all he did with Buhari's express approval. Emefiele contested against Tinubu. And Emefiele will walk in the end. Spare us all these drama, please. |
