SSFeedsNigeria:Agbara is opening up though. A good number of Igbos have been migrating to that part of Lagos over the past few days and are putting up cool structures there too. Their roads and electrification are also getting a facelift as well. |
A reset is necessary. |
Front0lane:You sha enjoy seeking attention. Just the other day, you were insulting people for not commenting on your thread. 😁🤣 Na wa for you o |
Seun, I'm not sure if you will read this, but eventually if you do, take this advice to heart if you can. (I agree that Nairaland is understaffed. There some moderators I see listed in some sections that haven't been on Nairaland in a while. However, twice in the politics section, I unveiled the Rare Gem moniker to be behind at least 5 other monikers but nothing was done about it till date) Ban anyone you need to ban! This forum is in dire need of sanity from bigots of all sides. We've had Nairalanders gloat over marginalization and killings of Northerners and others on this forum. We've had Nairalanders ascribe all sorts of obscene names and characters to the South Easterners. We've had Nairalanders launch all manner of attacks on the South Westerners. These are just for the 3 major tribes in Nigeria. There are more. What I would advise is you step back from direct hands-on management of this forum. Forgive me if that is already in play, but make it clear, who is/are running the place. Whenever you need to come in, let it be as a mediator, as a reset button, not as 'one of them'. Give your subordinates a clear order to extinguish Tribalism by all means. If someone was caught hurling tribal slurs, there is no need to look for the source or who started it first, banish such person! There is evidence. Let them take their madness elsewhere or continue here in decency. I won't mind offering my services to sanitize this place of such foolery day on day. I'm sick of it. Such persons are like Trojan Horses. They may be contributing to the traffic of this place, but they are also behind the festering rot beneath. The elephant in the room is: Is Nairaland ready to do without the revenue that tribalism fetches? It is a very lucrative business. I remember a Nairaland without this volume of hate dating back to 2009. Change is constant, yeah. However, I doubt this was what you saw when you looked towards 2023 from that time. Let your management share and believe in your dreams. I'm a school teacher. I've been sharing classrooms and staff rooms with people from all corners and tenets of Nigeria. I'm as detribalised as they come. If you need a hand to help with the sanitization, I can spare a few hours per day to help no matter whose ox is gored. Meanwhile, let me read through this thread and compile the list of people that will be expelled for a start 😡😁 |
Wetin you think say give dem mind to do this? Nah because dem believe say nothing go happen. That's why we dey ask for country wey get sense, wey bad bad thing no full for front. So that even person wey no get men dem go still fit chop the fruits of im efforts. Sorry for the distress bro. God go run am. |
Omoawoke:Guess the first person to mention hate (twice) on this thread? And there was also talk of baby factory that went largely ignored. Count your tongue with your teeth. |
fidelmarshal199:That's for her to let interested people find out. However, I was reacting to this 👇🏾 fidelmarshal199:Even the forum has a romance section so let the singles breathe. |
I'd advise you just draft the separation/settlement plan. It's likely she will request some finance to move on, or cause you some trouble before disengaging. However, one thing is certain; the lies you heard from her about someone else, same lies will be told about you to someone else. I rest my case. |
fidelmarshal199:I don't think you should be bothered what singles do here, except you feel threatened 😏 |
Omo.. That's a lot of money for a bike unveiled in 1989 bud 😏 |
On the contrary, you see what you want. Unlike on Nairaland where Nigerian politics overshadowed everything, Twitter is a mixbag of everyone and everything across the globe. With a combination of Follows/Unfollows/Blocks and Muting some words from your Timeline, you can have one devoid of that nonsense. It's a hard ask to expect this from Nairaland at this stage so.. 🌚 |
walefresh3:Not calling you a liar o, but someone else posted this picture 6 years ago. And it wasn't in Enugu. 😏

This is commendable. Our trips home should have kick-starting infrastructural developments as it's foremost agenda. Even the August meetings should have our women discussing how they can come into play. We have since known our governors tend to be useless, let's keep them on their toes. It's a win for us either ways. Congrats to the indigenes. You are the sons of your fathers. |
Yaaaaasssssss!!! Normally, once you see it from afar while still in Asaba, the goosebumps begin. It's not by Sagamu, Ijebu Ode, Ore, Bypass, Auchi, Umunede, et al. The sound of the wind and tyres when crossing the bridge nko? Priceless. You will then see that Flavour Life advert. Those that went home, is that advert still there ABI another beer ti takeover? ![]() |
I heard Edo youth beat up some people that claimed to be LP. Is it them? 😁😁 |
Groundnut oil or Vegetable oil? |
RepoMan007:If they never had this knowledge, them they possible would never. The ones that migrate for a better life elsewhere, then put their heads down and work towards it didn't come from an alien womb. |
It's normal for family to know about their relatives death and choose when to disclose it nah. Should we talk about Yar'Adua's? All these non-issues sef. |
Well, it's a juju avoidance thing. Even your mother will advise you to keep it under lids. |
The best Nigerian movie of 2023 is unarguably, The Black Book. The director is not on this list 🌚 Do with this information, what you wish.

Current Vice President, Kashim Shettima and former Gov, Nasir EL Rufai were part of those at Goodluck Jonathan's neck, advocating for negotiating and building of infrastructures for them. Yet, what difference did any of that make? Jonathan spent a whooping 15 billion to provide social infrastructure for them, including 50 schools and 9 Universities. All of these were allowed to rot away under Buhari who did not believe in the schools idea, but generously negotiated with bandits, giving them 'spa treatments' when the need arises. It is on record that conditions such as the bandits' leader's wife given world class pregnancy care and delivery, bandits imprisoned were released, and unnamed sums released to them at intervals as a way of easing the storm. Today, the situation is worse. So what exactly is Gumi saying again? |
Renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, has urged Bola Tinubu to engage in negotiations with numerous bandit groups responsible for widespread violence across the nation. A former military officer, Gumi argued that allocating substantial funds for weaponry to combat insurgency was outdated and an inefficient use of taxpayers’ money. The controversial religious figure stressed the importance of adopting non-kinetic approaches to address insecurity. Gumi asserted that banditry stemmed from the longstanding farmer-herder crisis in the Northern region, characterizing it as a social issue that could be resolved through honest dialogue with the perpetrators. “This is not the first time such is happening. The military should fight the military. Tank by tank. Jet by jet. The military should be out of fighting insecurity. We are not fighting Cameroon or Togo.” “In every society you have very good people and they are the majority. Nigerians are very humble people; very resilient who can sustain a lot of hardship. So I don’t see why good governance and good policing should be a big deal." “All the money we spend on buying all these Second World War aeroplanes and artillery and jets to fight insurgency is an archaic way of dealing with this issue. And billions of naira are spent on that." “Negotiate with these people. Build for them schools and hospitals. Let them have future. Build for them markets. Even the people we call bandits, what they sometimes complain is that they no longer have cattle markets because whenever they establish market, it gets destroyed. “ So the military should be out of this picture completely. We are not fighting a foreign country. We should develop our internal security,” he added. https://parallelfactsnews.com/negotiate-with-bandits-gumi-to-tinubu/ nlfpmod Mynd44 OAM4J

In the late 1800s, a man named Henry Ziegland lived in Texas. He was dating a young woman, but decided to end their relationship, and she became deeply heartbroken. In her distress, she took her own life. Her brother, filled with anger and grief, sought revenge on Ziegland and confronted him. During the confrontation, he shot at Ziegland and then turned the gun on himself, taking his own life. Unbeknownst to everyone, the bullet intended for Ziegland had missed its mark and embedded itself in a nearby tree. Ziegland, believing he had escaped the threat, eventually moved on with his life. Years later, around 1913, Ziegland decided to remove the same tree. Unable to chop it down with an axe, he used dynamite to bring it down. As the tree exploded, the long-forgotten bullet was dislodged and propelled with great force, striking Ziegland in the head leading to his death. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/readersblog/herbinger/death-postponed-as-the-bullet-shot-in-revenge-took-twenty-years-to-hit-and-kill-56202/ nlfpmod, Dominique, Rocktation

Angelfrost:I'm not about to argue with you since it is obvious you're spoiling for one. Here is an article on Financial Times talking about Nigerian Security Forces being for hire. All of his examples were in Lagos. I'll leave it at that. https://www.ft.com/content/a12bb6b1-798d-4863-8b49-104a56ccc716 Meaning they can choose to go there without security like Drake does in America??!Isn't private security/bodyguards doing the same task over there? I've not been to USA before. Maybe you have been there to have known they have the option to randomly pick security forces but choose not to. So, the choice is yours. Is Lagos a war-zone like the Sambisa or Celebrities actually use Security details as status symbol? The choice is yours, mate 👇
|
Angelfrost:All top celebrities move around with security personnel as a status symbol, besides security matters. The inordinate allocation of security men had been an issue since 1960 everywhere. Even ordinary Yahoo boys do that these days, so you'd have to be more specific.😒 |
I know a good number of millionaires from Osumenyi who travelled home this festive period and Nigerian security forces did not lock up the barracks. So if Oga don shit for church, make he go pay his dues. |
JuanDeDios:Ahh.. Perfecto! You're God Sent. I was set to ask my workplace Book Club members this. I really don't enjoy forgetting book names😁

Who remembers the Chichidodo bird referenced in one literature from yesteryears? The bird that likes maggot but hates faeces when it is in faeces that maggots grow best? 😁 |
