Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is The One True God? by DeSepiero(m): 3:52pm On Sep 01, 2017 |
orunto27: Who is the one true God? The Supreme Spirit. He lives in His Godsphere in Heaven. Is there truly only one God? Yes. Christ shall come back as The Lord. Which view/understanding of God is correct? Christianity, The Righteous, The Faith, The Hope, God of Peace and God in Love, which is Christ Jesus, The Light, The Good and The Life of The World. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Christians Eat Sallah Ram??? by DeSepiero(m): 1:39pm On Sep 01, 2017 |
hercatonchires: Let's ponder over this a little with some scriptural references. This is not intended to marginalise or criticise, rather it is aimed at educating people and eradicating ignorance. Consequently, let us brainstorm-christians and Muslims alike. Refer to 1st Corinthians 10:21~31. Concentrate more on verses 27~31 (attached)
My question to my Muslim folks is; the act of slaughtering rams during the ileya festival, is it an act of sacrifice? I mean should it be considered a sacrificial occasion? Please elucidate, as this would help enlighten ignorant fellas. To address the curious minded, I am a Christian (not a doctrinal one though I was born and bred up north, as a result, I rolled with many Muslim folks and I've eaten a lot of rams for the record, and it's still counting. I look forward to reading reasonable comments and arguments. Happy new month and happy Eid-El-Kabir How does the content of Paul's letter to some folks in Corinth hundreds of years ago affect you in 2017? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Two Things That Happens During Sex. by DeSepiero(m): 4:38pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
Finfadei: DURING SEX THERE'S TWO DIFFERENT EXCHANGES THAT TAKE PLACE: A PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL If people knew how powerful sex was they wouldn't have it with just anybody. During sex there's two different exchanges that take place: a physical and spiritual. Most grown adults are aware of the physical exchange. But the second is the spiritual which most people don't know about. When you have sex with someone, you exchange/obtain whatever spirit(s) they have as well. You take on their qualities, behaviors, ideology Etc GOOD OR BAD and it become a part of you. Sex was intended for one man and one woman. So many problems come as a result of sex outside of marriage. Disease and unplanned pregnancy are just the scratching the surface. Do you know that sleeping with a person you enter into a covenant with that other persons spirit? This happens every time you have sex with a person. The Bible says in the book of Corinthians 6:15-17 "Do you know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. (NIV) And... In addition to this... Whoever they have had sex with... Now you're attached to those people's spirits as well. This is why there's so many people with multiple personalities, who are dribbling and dabbling in this and that, who are confused, and all messed up in their thoughts, feelings and behavior. They are dealing with their own personality as well as the other people they have physically and spiritually connected themselves too. The person you could be laying with could be full of the devil and now ... You are too. How can this be avoided. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee from sexual immorality". Do it in God's way. Just wait. Save sex for marriage. Sex is a beautiful thing, it's fun, it's exciting, when done in God's way. God knows how it feels and what it does. He created it! But he also put boundaries in place because He knows what can happen when people get careless with it. TROUBLE! TROUBLE!! TROUBLE!!! The good news is, this doesn't have to be you. If you haven't already engaged in sexual activity then don't. Save sex for your husband or wife. Ask God to discipline you to wait and take away the desire because it's definitely hard to stop wanting something that is good to you after you've had it. Take your pick. Either run the risk of sleeping with THE ENEMY or waiting and being in the Ark of safety in marriage. Please share with friends, God bless you all. How do you know all these Finfadei? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Can A Christian Man Marry More Than One Wife by DeSepiero(m): 4:22pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
doyinbaby: Did the bible say specifically say Christian men should not marry more than one wife It's high time we started to quote bible verses properly, thereby giving credit to original authors. [s] "The Bible said that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son..." [/s] wrong "John said that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son..." correct |
Christianity Etc › Re: Can A Christian Man Marry More Than One Wife by DeSepiero(m): 4:16pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
ScepticalPyrrho: The Bible cannot speak.
However, Jesus of the Bible implied it indirectly. He didn't take a wife in his short life time. But his people were polygamous. And most of his people rejected his claims of being a god-child, going by the Bible stories.
I don't know why those who claim they emulate the Bible's Jesus character are keeping wife or wives for themselves and still expect to be called Jesus-like.
Even "Paul" did not have a wife. I wonder if this "Christians" of today are serious about being Christian.
So, doyinbaby, the right question should be whether a Christian should have a wife or husband. You didn't help her specific query. |

Scholastica16: Don't. Apply. To. UPenn. Please.
No, it is not "compulsory" to read a potential advisor's paper but it definitely helps if you can. The reality is, if he takes interest in your initial/introductory mail he could send you a copy of his paper to read and tell him what you feel about it. I couldn't help but notice for the second time; if you don't mind Sir, I'd like to know why you're advising some persons here not to apply to UPenn. |

it will be labelled an hypothesis. meaning intelligence guess.

Talking about sanctity of human life, I don't need a report to tell me the religious inclinations of people in Nigeria who: strap explosives to themselves and blow up people in the name of a certain god; offer human sacrifices to certain gods with hope of favour. |

vaxx: OK. I hear you for the sake of argument.
every scientific findings you know can also be subject to probability. therefore i am not wrong quoting it categorically unless you have an hypothesis that state otherwise. Yet again you fail to grasp it. The scientific study suggests probability NOT absolute certainty. So if you must quote this same study, you should quote it correctly (probability NOT absolute certainty). By the way, don't leave out the part where the same study suggests that religious people are often less intelligent? |

GoodMuyis: Its that is the case Children are more intelligent than adult then, cause they tend to ask same pattern of question atheist do asked, The WH questions especially WHYs.
Also I you answer questions wrongly there is no praise for that. Supply accurate answers to questions and you get rewarded If some children ask logical questions more often than some adults like yourself, I'm afraid they're perhaps more intelligent than such adults. |

butterflylion:
We are not on about definition. A true answer is one that satisfies the question, call, need and demand.
[s]It's simple logic. I am not on about definition I Am on about implication which was why I said the one asking knows the answer which would be deemed satisfactory and not based on definition.[/s] It's alright. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Exposing the ignorance of atheism through simple class five poem by DeSepiero(m): 2:47pm On Aug 26, 2017 |
butterflylion: You seem not to get it. We are talking about questions and not actions such as answering the door or answers to things that do not require one true answer to them.
If I say DeSepiero can you open the door please? You could say yes I can or no I cannot. Those have options.
But when I have a blue key in my hand and I ask you what colour is this thing in my hand and what is this thing in my hand with this colour? If you say pink pen instead of blue key then it's either you are ignorant or a dolt. I KNOW WHAT I WOULD TERM AS A CORRECT, TRUE AND REASONABLE ANSWER.
so to me you offered no answer even though English says you did. An Answer implies the SATISFYING OF A QUESTION, DEMAND, CALL OR NEED! You're going to far. I understand where you're coming from but try to be humble enough to accept something that you missed. According to the English dictionary, when a question is asked, the response expected is called an " ANSWER". an·swer
ˈansər/ noun noun: answer; plural noun: answers
1. a thing said, written, or done to deal with or as a reaction to a question, statement, or situation Now, that expected response could be correct or wrong in some contexts. It's that simple. |
