Hi guys, i'm hoping you can advise me please. I applied for a Nigerian passport last year online and paid the fees but for personal reasons, I could not finish the process i.e obtain the passport. I had paid online, filled application duly and even received an interview date but due to unforseen circumstances at the time, I was unable to complete the process. Now, I am still in possesion of the same application form and payment confirmation and I wondered if Nigerian embassy would still issue the passport on last years payment or is this forfeited? What can I do, please? |

Londoncool, i'm interested to know more about this. Is it one rule for family applicants and another for other applicants when it comes to deception? How come deception can be readily pardoned in the case of those applying to join their families? |
Wegams, It's all in the immigration rules on the UKBA website and the UKvisas website. See the link below. http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ecg/chapter26/#point%20seventeen |
Lol, yes I think I saw you, Londoncool. Were you the guy who was shouting "he isn't a criminal!?" I saw you alright, ![]() I have since sent you an e-mail to your yahoo account - did you get it? |
Londoncool, please see below. 17 March - 1 Oct concession was a blanket one for all overstayers who voluntarily leave the country. However, there is an ongoing concession for those who apply in the family category. Basically, they shouldn't be affected by the ban. “First, we will not automatically refuse applications from people applying to join their family permanently in the UK—that is to say, those applying for visas as a spouse, civil partner or unmarried or same-sex partner under paragraphs 281 or 295A of the immigration rules; a fiancée or proposed civil partner, as set out in paragraph 290 of the rules; a parent, grandparent or other dependent relative, as set out in paragraph 317; a person exercising rights of access to a child, as set out in paragraph 246; or a spouse, civil partner or unmarried or same-sex partner of a refugee or person with humanitarian protection, as set out in paragraphs 352A, 352AA, 352FA and 352FD. Following some of the comments made by hon. Members this evening, I will of course check to see whether we have cast the scope of those exceptions correctly, but my initial analysis is that that is where the discretion should apply. 26.17 - Refusal where the applicant has previously breached the UK's immigration laws (Paragraph 320(7b)) 26.17.4 When does rule 320(7B) not apply? By the way, did you see the new UK Border Force series on Sky last night? Very sad! |
Londoncool, but a further concession was announced in May for those applying in the family category? |

How did they find out? Does it mean that her fingerprint was stored and she used the same name on the new application? |

I'm hearing of this Durella guy for the very first time. I was forced to check him out on Youtube and truly there is no difference between the two and now it begs the question: Who is the original ![]() |
Well, what can I say. I think she should learn from the likes of Adora Oleh on Ben's Saturday breakfast show. That girl is a very professional presenter, got her fashion to the T but, she lacks an endearing personality. I guess Adora needs Ronke's personality while Ronke on the other hand needs a lot of Adora's skills! |
en hen! I knew Amaka had to be Ghanian because that recipe for jollof and method of cooking is so not Nigerian! Tomato paste ke? Otio. We blend pepper with onion and tomatoe together and not use tomatoe paste only. I don't like the Rice Ghanians use for their Jollof rice either. |
Rohadyl or whatever it is you chose to go by. Please oblige me the question: Why did you chose to join this forum knowing fully well that there are lots of other boring Ghanaian sites you could have graced? Well, I think it is indeed time Ghanians take a break and take their heads out of their far up arses to realise that their so- called perfect accent and intonation is indeed annoying. Those people have a serious colonial mentality so much is baffles me. Please, give yourselves a well deserved break! The bottom line is, Ghanians are incredibly jealous of Nigerians. See, Nigerians are bold, we don't kiss arses like our ghanian counterparts. We are intelligent and extremely clever. Well, yes, we are known to be good at fraud but at least we are able to beat the whites at certain things, I know, that isn't particularly a positive or something to be proud of, but tell me how many Ghanians can think of anything cleverly. Those people lack initiative and follow bureaucracy to a fault! The white man writes their rules and they follow it to the T. Nigerians are intellectuals, we use are initiative and are not easily intimidated unlike ghanains we have guts too. I hate it when they say Docter instead of Doctor. Damn! get it right will you people. Ronaldinho or whatever it is you go by. Next time, please keep your frigging insults to your Ghanaina forums okay. This is called NAIRALAND AND NOT cedisland. Got it!? By the way, did I say you people are boring that your movies even prove it? |
Abeg why you dey complain? You can't have the best of both worlds you know. You knew you wanted your Children to have an African upbringing and from your write up, most especially Nigerian influence right? Why then you go marry another culture? It seems you married a whitie from the sound of it. Abeg, put the pacifier in and just let it be. Naija man no dey do una? Pshew! |
Abeg this is funny! Eyebrow? No doubt the poster meant eyelashes, |
please guys, don't stop posting these pictures. They are so beautiful! Makes me wanna have my wedding tomorrow! |
To answer the question bluntly, No! Lagos can never be like Abuja just like other formumites have rightly stated. There was a plan for Abuja unlike Lagos. The colonial masters only resided on the Island during their time, hence while V.I and Ikoyi are like they are. However, if rebuilt or renovated, Lagos has vast potential in comparison to Abuja. I can just picture lagos looking like New York (like I said, I am dreaming it!). Lagos sure has a lot of potentials with it's s scenery and beautiful beaches. We can make parks and grow more trees. The government can come to some agreement to re-build houses with the landlords, |
Ynot, Nigeria goes by the british legal system and not America. We do not say your honour and we would wear wigs and gowns as they do in the UK. |
In the fear of not coming accross as being racist, I do understand Freewilly's perspective. However, it's such a shame that he doesn't have a different avenue of expressing his opinion and therefore get irate easily. Interesting also is seeing how we blacks readily accept whites as one of us but the reverse is the case with whites. From a constitutional point of view and the fact that Medube was born and of course bred in Nigeria does make him NIGERIAN! With that cleared up, i am also one of those blacks that believes that though I hold a red passport, I am still Nigerian based on my parents heritage. Until whites are ready to accept us as one of them and not constantly ask us where are root is, i think it's only fair to understand why Freewilly beliefs that being white does not make you African. Wait till there is Genocide in South Africa to find out how many Afrikaans would remember that they are actually more German or Dutch than South African. They would FLEE! |
How I used to look forward to 'tales by moonlight' on sundays evenings followed by the 'Village Headmaster'. I really liked sundays then. I think the soap operas were shown on Sundays too. I long to see 'Behind the Clouds' again. Oh what I wouldn't give to see 'Nosa'. Who is Ramsey Noah if Nosa had been alive. I really liked Franca Brown in that soap too. Zack Amata acted really well, you couldn't help but hate his character then. I liked Second Chance too. with Madam Kofo and her Head ties. Man! Those were the days. I was only thinking about this a few days ago. |

which would justify issuing the entry clearance;
