First I want to sympathize with the people of Benue, Taraba, Adamawa and southern Kaduna who have endured the murderous activities of herdsmen in recent times.

I want to warn Nigerians to be wary of politicians who have been trying to make political gains from this killings. People like ffk do not show any empathy towards these people.

It's a very absurd to read politicians calling on the government to declare herdsmen terrorists. This is illogical. It's like declaring igbos criminals or Yorubas ritualits because of the activities of the few bad eggs among them.

However, the national lawmakers should as a matter of urgency make laws banning open grazing in Nigeria to encourage cattle farmers to embrace ranching. Cattle business is like any other business out there and should not be at the expense of other businesses. Nomadic farming is archaic and should be banned from Nigeria in this 21st century.

Every state should ban open grazing if the federal lawmakers fail to do this to protect their people and land.

Exactly. Those universities are too small to generate profit for a church like LFC. Oyedepo I believe is a smart man. If he primarily wanted profit he wouldn't spend 100 million USD on building a University he would have tons of other viable, inconspicous and less controversial investments to explore.

Analysis had it some years ago that it would take them 32 years to earn the financial input they put into CU.

When I tell people that the wage bill of UI in a year is four times Ekiti's annual Igr they think I am exaggerating. In fact if you sum the Igr of Ekiti, Ebonyi and Yobe it is not up to the wage bill of UI, ABU or UNN - Meaning without federal allocations these three States put together can't fund one of those federal universities I mentioned.

2% of Babcock University's annual Budget is provided by the Adventist Church. For a Church with top notch 116 Universities across the globe they are doing fantastic.

Crawford University gets at least 300 million naira annual subsidy from the apostolic church.

Covenant gets 2-5 Billion naira subsidy each year. Now many of these proprietors keep spending and they need to be supported because higher education is a fund consuming machine.

Someone yesterday pointed out that institution opened by Tai Solarin, a supposed atheist, is way way way more affordable than those opened by these churches. It goes a long way to show you just how little they are doing.

I know for certain that Egypt and South Africa have better CS schools than Nigeria. I won't be surprised if Algeria, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, etc. have as well.

There is a lot to work on from an infrastructure point of view. CS needs to be introduced early to children, let them gain an understanding on basic programming concepts, then they can move onto mainstream CS stuff when in the University.

CS is such a huge field but we don't have the qualified people in Nigeria to teach it in depth. Most qualified Nigerians are abroad.

Wait, isn't market opportunity directly related to population? As in if you have 170million individuals, isn't that a larger opportunity than 15million? I'm sure there's some truth to easy oil money being shared, but I doubt the lady who spend 12 hours selling foodstuffs or working in a pharmacy will agree that she's getting access to easy oil money. Yet she wants toothpaste (as an example). How do you explain the money that 50 million households use to buy toothpaste?
