Good evening friends So, I was at Ikeja high court today to certify additional 1 set of documents. Did all their protocol stuff sha. I was asked to type out one letter with a format given to me. The person I was directed to made me pay #500, just to type and print one letter. I boiled inside but my good boy part was very dominant today. That cut my money to 1,500. But I was still okay since I was doing 7 pages, so I thought I'll have #100 left to board bus to Oshodi . I got back to the commissioner of oaths and he began to put the price on my documents. He got to my waec Certificate and saw I made photocopy of only front page, he said "this should be front and back". Thank God I had a spare copy of a front and back copy, so I just gave him. Only for him to write #200 at the back of the waec photocopy too.. That meant I was to pay #1600. My pupils constricted .. I had to trek to LASUTH to use ATM, then I came back to pay them. It was in the middle of this hectic travails that I received a mail from Hoschule Bonn-Rein-Sieg telling me they rejected my application for MSc Biomedical Sciences. I just smiled. These ones think they can spoil mood for me.. for every 1 rejected Application, there are 10 waiting to be sent. Las Las, all of us go dey okay. I'm back to Ibadan sha. Anyone that wants to send documents to uni-assist on or before Monday within Ibadan, kindly send a PM. |

When you find the list of schools that offer your course, check the required documents each of them asks for. That's when you'll know if the school accepts proficiency letter or not |

Conqueror89: Boss, there is something I want to be sure of.
I and my friend intend to write the ielts exam by next month. We are both applying for a bachelor's degree in germany though we have graduated here in nigeria. we took a decision within ourselves to start afresh so we decided to go for another programe entirely in germany.
But something came up of recent. He got an information from one of our other friend who is studying in Germany presently that there is a new development. The said friend in Germany told us what we need to do now is to apply for a letter of proficiency in English from the registrar office in our university here in nigeria that it will cover for the ielts exam. He said it will save us cost and that about 5 schools we intend to apply to in Germany accept it. Pls do you have an idea about schools in Germany accepting letter of proficiency in English ? Because all I have seen so far is people writing the ielts exam. I await your response. Thnks Yes, if your school accepts the submission of a letter from your registrar that your first BSc was taught in English , then you can submit it instead of IELTS. This condition varies from school to school , so be sure of what your school wants first. |

horlakay: Hello gurus in the house. Oga justwise i salute u. May God bless your good work sir. I have benefitted a lot from your travel sections....
Now to the point.
I was greeted this month with an australian student visa denial...am just recovering frm it. I have read frm page 1 of this thread and i gained alot. I applied to a school ruhr university bochum for masters of material and simulation as my first degree is metallurgical and material engineering....but on reading peoples proceeures am confused because i applied without certifying my docs. Does it mean i wont be considered? because am about applying to FAU to. I want to hurridely get something out before june. So i ask is it compulsory to certify your docs? Cos on d sch website i didnt see dat? Thank you @bolded, your school will clearly state out which type of document is required of you. Some ask for plain photocopies, most require that you certify the documents, some do not need offline applications. Just upload the documents on their portal. So if your school didn't ask for certified docs, then you're okay. As for FAU, you'll need to certify. I applied there |

Good morning guys. I've submitted my documents for certification at the embassy. Just chilling around at the moment till 1pm. Seems Mr Paulinus isn't around.. the man I saw attending to us didn't match the description of Paulinus. But then, so far you have all the required documents and you cooperate appropriately you won't have a problem. I was second on the certification queue. When I told the German lady I brought 5 sets, she was like "What do you want to study in Germany?" |

babatea10: Good morning house, I want to get some clarifications,I’m applying to one of this German schools for my masters degree program for winter semester,I have all the documents ready and I’m about to book an appointment with the German consulate for certification,Do I need to take along with me,my NYSC certificate? my WAEC certificate? My CV? SOP? Please I need a list of all the documents I need to take there for certification And also I’ll be applying to about 4-5 schools under uni-assist,do I need to apply to the schools first, fill the application forms and attach it to all the certified documents I’d be sending to uni-assist,or it’s possible to send the certified copies to uni-assist first and when the schools opens portal for winter semester application, then I can send the application forms generated during the online application.Someone should please help out I tried reading from the part 4,I couldn’t figure this out Refer to the quoted post below for answers to the first part of your question. Deustchemann: Certification of Copies for University Applications in Germany
The German Missions in Nigeria certify copies of school documents for the purpose of applying for admission at a German university. Please consider the following information:
You are allowed to present up to – 5 – application sets per appointment Application sets should not be stapled Each set has to be sorted in the same following order: o original application form (completed and duly signed)
o copies of the academic documents (same order like the originals)
o copy of your passport (data page)
Your original documents have to be presented and include: o passport
o academic documents in original condition (same order like the copies). Any type of copy of an original document (like soft copy) will not be accepted. Important: In case you have some documents that are printed front and back (e.g. WAEC Certificate), please make sure to copy both sides In case you present a transcript of an academic record, please make sure that every page is stamped and signed by the university Fees: The certification of copies for University Applications in Germany is free of charge.
https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_category.do?locationCode=lago&realmId=695&categoryId=1157 The documents you need depend on the school you're applying to, but I know certification is needed for your Bachelor certificate, transcript, English proficiency test/letter and Waec certificate.. The others (CV, SOP) don't need certification. You can send originals of that. I don't think you need to certify your NYSC certificate too. The bosses familiar with uni-assist will answer the second part. |

Ndkings1: Certification at the embassy is very easy.... Just go there with the photocopies of your documents and the originals. The German woman doing it will cross check your originals. Make sure arrange your documents as instructed on the checklist.... You will submit in the morning and be asked to come back by 2pm.
I certified five sets of application documents Today. I'm going tomorrow morning. Were you allowed to take your phone with you? |

Dreamchaserz: Thanks Deustchemann. You are highly appreciated. Please can I certify for someone too or does the person have to book appointment himself and appear at the consulate? I doubt if you can certify by proxy at the embassy. Since they'll be using passport and all. I have an appointment on Wednesday morning. I can ask the security folks if they allow. But I'm sure you can do that at courts sha. |
