I'm building a water tank for my farm and I need high gravity for reticulation.

Can anyone help with advise if 16000 litres of water carried in round GP tanks can be sustained by a tank stand constructed with 6"X4",H channel irons braced with 2"x2" angle bars up to 50fts, that is 15meters high?

Thanks for your contribution please

BusinessRe: Why Is Dangote Cement More Expensive In Nigeria Than Other Countries by Devgist(op): 4:32pm On Mar 30, 2018
Johnrake69:
Those bottle necks don't apply to Dangote. He generates his own electricity which is way cheaper than what it cost the federal government to generate same amount of power. Fuel is still relatively cheap compared to other countries with cheaper prices for cement.

Goodluck trying to get Dangote to pay double tax with Omonile. A man that made about #1trillion from 2010-2015 and paid just 12billion in tax as a result of the pioneer status government keeps granting him. Even, when the economy was not this bad he had always been offered Fx at official rate while others go to the black market to source for Fx. Dangote that still pays #40k salary at his factories.

No security agent can demand bribe not to talk of seizing Dangote's truck. We all know this. Bringing in his equipments he pays almost nothing to our custom.

How about the mineral resources he gets for free? For instance, a ton of limestone is sold for about $30 or more in the international market, but, he pays just #25 to the government as Royalties.

Note: His quality of cement can be sourced from the international market at less than $5.

The only reason is that he owns over 60% of the market. He owns us. He will dictate the price.
Your contribution is very informative. What is the place of consumer protection agency on this?
It means goverment need to regulate the cement market. If Cement price is reduced, more individuals would own houses and the current national housing deficit will be partly addressed. Sustained high prices of Cement where there's possibility that it could have been sold cheaper means goverment is not committed to resolving the housing deficit Nigeria is facing
BusinessWhy Is Dangote Cement More Expensive In Nigeria Than Other Countries by Devgist(op): 11:42pm On Mar 29, 2018
Dear Naira Landers.

I'm curious about a post I saw on Facebook about cheaper Dangote cement in Ghana and elsewhere when raw materials are sourced mostly from the same place. The post claims the NGN2600 per bag of cement in Nigeria is as a result of it's dubious economy

Kindly post in this thread any country other than Nigeria where Dangote Cement is distributed and the price in Naira equivalent.

Thanks

PoliticsIs Nigeria Committed To End Boko Haram by Devgist(op): 8:50pm On Mar 24, 2018
The insurgency in the North East has festered for many years now. Many like me are confident in the ability of the Nigeria Military to exterminate it but are pondering on why the crisis is continuing and daily taking new dimensions.
That Boko Haram has capabilities to cause the Federal Government of Nigeria to negotiate with it is a twist that goes to say how the entire citizenry may have become psychologically defeated. This perhaps explain the reason why we see helpless citizens waiving at a motorcade of the insurgents as they drive in and out of Dapchi town unchallenged.
Was it possible for the Federal Government to negotiate with them while keeping to itself a surprise defeating strategy that could have led to arrest of some insurgents? No, because, aware of it's helessnes, the goverment had got to keep the terms and not to risk another kidnap or even a more devastating attack. It is reported that the insurgents came abducting the Dapchi girls unchallenged and they came delivering them unchallenged, so the only protection the citizens have is the good will of Boko Haram. Worse is to learn that they did not hurry to leave the town but stayed back to preach to the crowd for over 20 minutes before leaving. Could an ambush have worked? That they went so free shows clearly that Bolo Haram could even have dictated the terms.
Few days ago, I was traveling with my team along the stretch from Gusau to Talata Mafara in Zamfara State, we encountered an old military van mounted with a machine gun with some armed persons dressed in military uniforms.. Unconsciously, I found myself speaking out, wondering how we will know if the people in the van are not Boko Haram. The Driverwho is a native from Zamfara State spontaneously responded, "but we, we know they are soldiers, they are not Boko Haram" I turned to him in surprise and asked, how do you know? Sounding so confident, he told me, "Boko Haram will not use this kind of old motor, their own motor will be new and sharp sharp". When I heard this, I fell back to the seat in disbelief of how laughable goverment response to Boko Haram can be characterized. If this characterization can be generalised, can we say the goverment is ready to end the insurgency when the military cannot be properly tooled?
If the issue of equipping the military is not addressed, no one should wonder why the only weapon in the fight against Boko Haram is negotiation and settlement.

Abducted Dapchi Girls : Do Not Weep For Leah Sheribu*

I was before a Mirror this Morning, checking myself out before my Dad's small radio broke the fishy-flashy too much. "One of the abducted Dapchi girls was not released for refusing to convert to Islam." I quickly ran to the dinning room to inform my parents of the news. What kind of Faith is this? A small girl of that age prefers another minute in the Jungle for the sake of a Nazaren who refused to prevent her abduction in the first place? Does she not have a boyfriend she's missed so much? Couldn't she have spoken from her lips? She could have accepted to wear the hijab and do away with it on getting home. Why didn't she accept Islam in their presence and denounce it on seeing her parents, then ask her Jesus for pardon? Afterall, the Crucified son of Mary, she believes in, forgives easily. So, I was told. Is she too young to know she might not return? She might be killed just like her fore-fathers in the faith and heaven will not fall. She could be crucified like Peter or burnt alive like Polycarp. She could be severely scourged like Agrippina. What a Poor little girl!

I was about to pray the 3pm divine Mercy prayer for Leah, when I remembered the 70 A.D fate of Jerusalem. The architects of the greatest evil, the execution of the Son of God, thought they were wise and powerful. Little did they know that nemesis would catch them up. Jesus Christ warned. He warned them of the doom they were preparing for themselves. He told them there would be an aftermath. Only the discerning knew what he meant, when the Lord told the daughters of Jerusalem, "Do not weep for me, but for yourselves and your Children." Jerusalem later regretted. Her Mothers Cried. Her daughters lamented. Her Sons caused the days of their birth. They told the mountain "please fall on us" and the hills "please cover us. Yes, do not Cry for Leah Sheribu, but for the perpetrators of this evil. Weep for everyone involved in her abduction and detainment. Weep! Weep!! For Buhari if he knows anything about this. Weep! Weep!! For Jonathan if he is part of this in any way.Weep for the Dapchi villagers who encouraged Terrorists with their chants of "Holy Warriors." Weep for CAN if she would not act fast. Weep for the right thinking Muslims, if they wouldn't do nothing. Weep for everyone who has consciously brought Nigeria to this pitiful state. They might ask, "Why weep for us?" Tell them, Pontius Pilate committed Suicide.

Dear heroic Leah Sheribu, now that you are a confessor. How I wish to kiss dusts off your slippers.

Once upon s time, there was a King, he had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to him; My king, do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes. One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn't prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious and without showing gratitude, the King said to this his servant; if God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger. The servant replied, 'despite all these things, I tell you my Majesty that God is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong'. Outraged by the servants response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant. While being taken to prison, he turned to the king and told him again, God is Good & Perfect. Few months passed, one day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice. On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn't have one finger in place, he was released because he was considered not "complete" to be offered to the gods. On his return to the palace, he ordered everyone together to share his story including those in prison. When he finished telling his story, this his prisoner servant still told him, my king, God is perfect, he knows everything, everything he does is good. Then the king came to his senses and said; My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger, I was let go. But I still have a question; If God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in prison? His servant replied; My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger. Everything God does is perfect, He is never wrong.
