What is the basis for the global concern over China aside the propaganda we are being offered. U.S and its western allies want us to believe China is a threat when we know that they are the real devil who have killed millions and unseated democratic regimes around the world and replaced them with brutal and corrupt dictators. How many countries has China stole from through slavery/colonialism? How many countries has China invaded? They don't even meddle in the internal affairs of other countries. They don't sponsor insurgents or plot regime change in other countries like the west has being doing for decades.

Global spying or espionage, America ranks number one so they should stop shouting and let us rest. Edward Snowden revealed how America hacked China and Hong Kong for years. I'm not supporting China here every country needs espionage but America should stop acting like a saint here. We are not idiots we know what they do we have read them in books and we hear them in news.

The US would never relate with Russia or China the same way they'd relate with militarily less powerful nations and vice versa. The US"s reply to hypersonic missiles is the satellite weapon system with the ability to fire at any point on earth several times faster than an intercontinental ballistic missile. so you see all these is an arms race to instill fear and respect into each other, this is why we haven't had ww3 because everyone is aware of each others strength hence MAD. you misunderstood me, the guy I quoted made the AC appear invulnerable, and I gave reasons why in 21st century warfare it is. in a total war where resources of state are geared towards winning, there are several weapons that currently makes the carrier vulnerable. Dive bombers sunk AC"s in Wwii, talk more today where the weapons I made mention of are available. No weapon is invulnerable bro.. it's a military certainty

Carriers are no longer Invisible, they still remain a threat no doubt especially with regards power projection in the peacetime operations of the combat spectrum, but in an all out war against the Russians or the Chinese they are vulnerable.

I agree with you in most points you raised except the issue of aircraft carriers... Aircraft carriers are actually the machinery used by the USA to project force all over the world. No single nation has more aircraft carriers than d USA.

If you have read the battle of midway in worldwar 2 against Japan, then you will understand the importance of the carriers as that was the turning point of that war, according to many expert analysis.

If you think world war ii was long ago, then you must be mistaken because aircraft carriers in the 21st century are modernized and sophisticated with modern weapons, anti-missiles and are nuclear powered. They are even armed with laser weapons.

If you are still in doubt, during Obama's presidency, a missile was fired at a US carrier from Yemen, but was easily defended against by missile defense systems from the warship. The US warship also fired warning shot at the site of origin and even targeted and destroyed the radar they used as a warning to them. Google is your friend.

Remember also that modern warships sizeable as aircraft carriers are capable of carrying many fighter jets, as many as 60-100 including US sophisticated F-35s and F-22s. Air superiority is key in any battle in modern times, so the presence of carriers at seas near your country is enough to give you headache because even when you fire at it, these jets can easily take of and strike targets at your country and note that they are also stealthy and equipped with missiles

Finally, 2/3 of the planet earth is covered by water, far more than land mass. That is why superpower nations also have modern sophisticated submarines underlying the importance of sea battle which of course, the USA is also well-equipped with.

Carriers are still important in power projection no doubt.... But their invisibility today isn't the same as during wwii, anti carrier ballistic missiles currently possessed by China, (don't know about Iran) makes them more vulnerable today than during the Second World War. The tank was the undisputed master of the battle field during wwi and wwii but today anti tank guided missiles make them invisible no more. the carrier just like the tank ain't obsolete but it's no longer invulnerable. tnx
