That he brought obaseki from lagos and that Obaseki was responsible for his own success as a gov. He forced him us. Just becos Obaseki refused to do his bidding, he started fighting him with federal power because say him na APC chairman. And for Edo, we hate oppression, we nor dey use ear or eyes see oppression. We dey fight am with our all.

Oshiomhole is still the best democratically elected governor Edo state has ever had.

He is the governor who revived and transformed the infrastructure of Edo state after Lucky Igbinedion abandoned governance in the state for many years, claiming that it was the godfathers in the state who were taking the allocation of the state.

Having grown up in the then Bendel state and later Edo state, lived in Benin for 11 years before moving to Lagos with my parents in 1992, it was so appalling when I returned to Benin in 2008 during Lucky Igbinedion's tenure for project work, and I found many roads like Ihama road, GRA completely impassable.

Fast forward to 2010/2011 during Oshiomhole administration when I came to Benin again for a project (Guaranty Trust Bank, Sapele road branch), I saw new roads, green-colored BRT type buses, etc.

Oshiomhole really tried compared to his predecessors and successors...give it to him. Like I told my wife recently, on the average, APC/ACN governors are more project-minded than PDP governors. The only PDP governor that has impressed me in terms of projects is Emperor Wike

He raised his state revenue from 400mil to 600mil and governed for 8yrs without borrowing a kobo while doing magic with the resources available. He met alot of debts and cleared it and still saved money for the state from the 600mil. Won several acaccolades and awards both locally and internationally when he was in govt, and he was not even with the ruling party or opposition.
Another person raised his from 600mil to 8bil by taxing every fowl in his state and subjecting them to poverty. despite that huge money he claimed to make, he left huge amount of debts for the next govt. Despite that huge money, he never won the best governor throughout his 8yrs. Despite that huge money, no tangible meaningful projects on ground apart from a claim of drawing Lagos plan
He looted all that money and u are clapping for him for looting ur future.
