Haaa...some Igbos are indeed terrible people. You soon become the bitter enemy of an average Igbo man after helping them to success....especially when they sensed that you are now equals....other tribes might behave in this manner though but my experience with Igbos are not funny.

This is my story.
I had an Igbo friend as a business partner. We started a business together with my own Idea, we both contributed money to get it started. Along the line we had issues with take off... a serious one at that and my friend lost interest and started demanding for his own part of the investment...it was a terrible moment for me that at a certain stage I sold my car to raise the fund for him, he was like a devil.

In the past I brought him into a big contract with delta state government at Oghara efe that brought huge dividend... I was really shocked that he demanded I sell my car to pay him off which I did...eventually he started a campaign against me as I struggle to make the business a success which I succeded, now he goes about blackmailing me that I took over a business we started together...so sad for him it was too late. Ever since I watch my back with serious care. Igbos sometimes are no good people to do business with...speaking from experience.

should we all start telling our stories of betrayal from people from other tribes ? No cos we are matured enough to know it's an individual thing and even a blood relative can betray you. Please don't start !

If you claim you are a Christian and you want to start sleeping with a woman God has not joined with, then you must be living in grand delusion. The bible says 'what God has joined together, let no man put asunder'. If I may ask: 'At what point does God join a couple together?' At traditional marriage or in the Church? Traditional aspect were actually prelude to the ultimate Church's ceremony. Traditional aspect are only done to fulfil all righteousness (i.e. Done not to offend our traditional values not in opposition with Christianity), for a Christian they don't translate into legitimate marriage before God. This things have been before you are and they will remain after you are gone, your opinion changes nothing but you can start your own church and spread your own doctrine. Many have done that but please don't impose in on everyone. My church has a structure and doesn't have pastors who impose personal opinion on members. Only Churches found by your type does that but I am immune to your type of rebellious ideas.

what about the bible saying whatever you do to your neighbor ,you done for me or whatever in bound on earth is bound in heaven . You cant say God won't recognise trad wedding. In fact to each man his own , the most important thing is we have been given the ability to discern what is right or wrong . I strongly believe trad in presence of our presence of our earthly presence trumps all others , the rest is just the paper which in Nigeria to an extent doesn't mean much coz people still do whatever they like .

why should they be scared ? A person scared of expenses just have complex ! Do your thing according to your pocket , no body can force you to over spend unless you want to . The truth is nobody cares unless you put it out there. Went for a white wedding in Abuja on a Friday evening and reception in Apple bees wuse 2 . The couple never marry ? They don marry if you are busy thinking it was low key for your pocket . Went for another wedding in lag and the reception was in the guys home ,matter don end . There's no problem with doing all three but there's a problem when you want to do like your friends when you don't have like them. You can do a low key wedding and 20 years down the line renew your vows in a splendid way. Don't get carried away , cut your coat according to your size and marry someone who doesn't give a hoot about society ideas of wedding .

I believe the most important wedding is the traditional wedding .this is done in presence of family ,kinsmen and witnesses . In Igbo land ,the woman goes home with the hubby that day( where am from ) that means she is married , her bride price has been paid and they both can do whatever they want with their bodies . White and court is just formalities.

Already making excuses in case he wins so you know why he can't inprove Nigeria

You have to pretend as if nothing happened and don't plead with the mom. It's possible she didn't clearly see what happened between you and the girl. And you pleading with her will throw all her doubts. But even if she did she may not want to tell her daughter so as to avoid problems and avoidable issues in your marriage. Maybe it's time to let your wife friend leave the house to avoid more drama. And just be more nice to your wife and your mom now generally.

But if your mother in-law finally tells her daughter what transpired please deny it completely. You can say you were passing by and along the line you heard the friend calling for help and you went to assist her (if it was a kitchen incident you could say things like oil poured on her and you had to quickly get a cloth to clean up the mess on her) and was only trying to help before mama came in. Don't make it appear as if mama is lying but rather that yes she saw you both but didn't get the exact picture of what was happening. You can discuss whatever story you may want to say with the girl so you both can have same story.

This course helps people / teachers understand the basics and why kids first years in school is important .
