MOBBDEEP: Hmm, I didn't want to comment before until I saw these posts.
At least, the 2 of you were a bit objective.
People just facetiously condemn a situation, an event or act with no facts except the delusions of religion & norms, some of which ought to be scrutinized deeply to determine its essence.
After all, has the religion & norms helped in the advancement of humanity?
I'd say, with some measure of certainty, no!

This is a gray area with its pros & cons.
I remembered reading some researched papers presenting some surprising & fascinating facts about cohabitation ( can't provide link for those who would requested because it was a part of a big Psychology textbook ) :
* Divorce/Separation rate was lower among cohabiting couples compared with those who married straight in the 1st 5yrs of marriage.
* Adaptability, survival strength & maturation of characters were better among there cohabiting partners supposedly.
* It brings about stability & better support for people involve which translated to being a bit happier in reality.
Now, there will be a lot exceptions.

I'm not supporting cohabitation.
It's just that I want us to be balanced in evaluation of our beliefs & behaviours.
FEW THINGS in life & reality are OUTRIGHT COMPLETE GOOD/BAD.

And as they say, this is one of the dimensions of life where no particular route/way/belief system works for all.
Co-habitation will be inimical to some people's existence just as it brings bliss for many.
Some also have had it rough & unpleasant with starting out straight.

It seems to me that what matters most is the set of people involved.
If the people involved are supposedly GOOD (now, this is a broad definition), whatever system they use works for them. Be it cohabitation, straight-marriage, celibacy, asexual etc.
So, rather than focus on the system, we centre on the people involve.

By the way, I sense a lot of people saying bad about the cohabitation are being hypocritical.
Àbí, who are the cohabiting couples you & me see everyday?
Are they aliens? Or they don't use IT?
Just a lil correction here not evry1 here is speaking from the religious point of view, for someone like me who had like 3 cohabiting couples as friends and all of their relationships crashed after being apart for a while. Don't also forget the promiscuous nature of males when they see nofin special in the girl anymore (especially sexually).even if it has to happen (cohabitation) it should be btw people who already have a commitment towards tying the knot not btw two relatively naïve and jobless youths which is the Case in most of our tertiary institutions.

Azuist: Well done Imo Police Command for not dismissing the commercial tricycle driver as usual instead they followed up whit a proper investigation.
Well done the driver for going extra mile to confirm your suspicion, u could ve said "wetin concern me" like many Nigerian but now u ve saved this innocent baby.
This is really pathetic, what re they going to do with a 2 months old baby? if they need one, while not go 2ru d necessary rigorous process of adopting one. Indeed "evil thrive when good men seat down and do nothing" as would ve been the case here.

Misblah: I don't see it as a bad idea. I think it allows. For a better understanding between both prospective couples, even if they don't finally end up togeher-which is very possible-i think twud prepare the both of them psychologically for the problems they wud both encounter wen they go into marraige as I have seen pple that freak out jst lyk 3months into their marriage.

Ms. Ejelonu was one of the primary contacts with Patrick Sawyer at a Lagos Hospital where he received treatment after he was rushed from the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos where he collapsed.

Nairaland General › Trailer Accident This Morning At Ajao Estate (PICS) by Dexema(op): 5:26pm On Aug 13, 2014
I woke up this morning to a hale of noise around my area, this was promptly followed by a crashing sound. Power supply went off silmutenously with the sound giving me fears a truck had cut one of the wires from one of the poles around.
Upon coming out to check what had happened it was a slightly different story as a trailer had lost control spilling the container laden on it back.
Thank God nobody was hurt but this sparked up some salient questions about the road and why such a vehicle should be plying a small road in a residential area.
The construction of the bridge that links ajao estate with Ejigbo area was greeted with joy from outsiders especially those who don't need to take other long arduous routes to get to their destination, but people in the estate had mixed feelings about the bridge and how it opened the only motorable road in the estate up with alternate routes of entering and leaving the estate especially for its inhabitants left in deplorable state. I'm sure the state govt has done their part with the bridge but the Isolo LCDA has done nothing with the smaller roads. I'm sure Gov fashola was not taken through those roads during the commisioning of the bridge.below are pix of the container and a signboard which says the road has been awarded and is due to be completed in 3 weeks...that signpost has been there for more than 7months. I hope people in the right places get to see this and promptly attend to it,while I earnestly hope that the container would be removed, the poles fixed and power supply restored as soon as possible.

Let's communicate and get closer to the govt so that we can reap the dividends of democracy.

eaglechild: That is a sad development.

The man was 75 years, he has also allegedly been receiving ZMapp, there is a possibility that his age and immune status could have played a role here.

I will still commend our struggle here in Nigeria to keep the infected cases alive.
