ifeness: Are you aware that dinosaurs co existed with humans millions of years ago. Their foot prints have been discovered as a valid proof . You can look up if you wish. That alone debunks your claim that god created the universe in 7 days.If Dinosaur and man coexisted, how come scientists tell us that Dinosaurs were destroyed more than 2 billion years ago and man came just not too long ago. I think the pseudo-scientists are over rated they know nothing. |
@ OP Sorry about your loss. To the question you asked, Suicide is not supported by the Quran. Suicide according to the dictionary means taking ones life; it has no place in Islam as the Quran does not permit a Muslim to take his life. However, the Qur'an did command the Muslims to make war with the kuffars i.e you who is a Christian and pagans, till they testify that there is no god but allah. Sahih Muslim (1:33) The Messenger of Allah said: "I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer and pay zakat." You will agree that the Mujahideen i.e holy warriors may get killed. If that happens, allah according to the Qur'an and Hadiths they will go straight to paradise Sahih Muslim 20:4381 "The messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said "Surely, the gates of paradise are under the shadow of sword" |
ooman: 1. The earth is 4.6 billion years old not 6000 as you claim1. The earth is certainly not 4.6 billion years. How did you arrive at the figure? 2. Day here means "period of time" The Hebrew word translated as day is "Yohm", it has many meaning all related to time.( check William Wilson's "Old Testament Word Studies". 3. Spirits can not be observed except it manifests itself to you or you have some supernatural abilities to see them.Peoples experience varies, Some people have told stories of the manifestation of our Lord Jesus unto some. I choose to believe the testimony of the bible written by men of integrity. If you did not experience the manifestation of Spirits and choose not to believe those who have such experience, it does not prove nor disprove their existence. 4. Truth, God is love. Man is not evil, however some men commit evil. In fact, it is for this reason that God sent Jesus to come and save people. 5. Can order come out of chaos? (Big bang) 6. You said it is only energy that can not be destroyed, but there is energy in man which means according to your theory, that mans energy can not be destroyed, conversely, men dont really die! P.S: The soul is a form of energy in man, therefore, the soul does not die 7. Life comes from pre-esisting life(Louis Pasteur, Laws of Biogenesis). God is life, therefore, we conclude, that life can only start from Him who is life. |

NNPC makes N2.36trn in 2012, spends N2.84trn THE Chief Strategist of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr Tim Okon, has disclosed that the corporation made a total of N2.3 trillion between January and September 2012, adding that its total expenditure during the same period amounted to N2.84 trillion. He said this on Tuesday, during the 2012 budget defence of the corporation before the Senate and House of Representatives Joint Committee on Petroluem (Downstream), adding that the projected revenue for the period was N4.02 trillion. The National Assembly, however, raised the alarm over the N48 billion excess expenditure made by the NNPC, saying its 2012 budget lacked details and full of discrepancies. Agitated by the vagueness of the documents presented in the review of the corporation’s performance in 2012, the joint committee spotted a discrepancy between what the corporation earned as income and its operational expenditure during the period under review. Okon said the performance of the corporation between January and September was 59 per cent, while the full year performance is expected to be N3.23 trillion. According to him, while the 2012 plan for the three refineries was for the refining of 44 million barrels, the corporation was only able to refine 23 million barrels out of a total annual allocation of 162 million barrels. The joint committee of the National Assembly, however, rejected the presentation, saying that it was a deliberate attempt by the corporation to “deceive and confuse” Nigerians and the committee. The committee said NNPC failed to supply the details of how it arrived at the revenues it made during the period and the details of how it spent what the claimed to have spent, just as one of its members, Senator Hosea Agboola, said “this is not a budget; a budget should contain details of revenues and expenditure.” Chairman of the committee, Senator Magnus Abe, highlighted some of the expectations from the committee and demanded further details of the revenue profile and expenditure made in 2012. The Group Executive Director, Refining and Petrochemicals, Philip Chukwu, made efforts to explain the source of the extra money that made up the corporation’s total expenditure, as he said the NNPC used some of the proceeds from its activities to fund other operational financial demands during the period. The committee, however, faulted Chukwu’s position, saying that it contracted an earlier statement where he described NNPC “reserves” as crude oil and not in cash. Source: Tribune |
@Sexydivaa It is good you are researching Islam, you will find a lot of interesting thing about your religion! Carry on so when people like us ask you to explain your faith, you will not be stuttering. ![]() |
^^^^ You are denying your scholars who spent most of their lives studying Islam. I may well advise you to stop listening to your all your Alfas because if they study hard like those I quoted above, they will surely end up telling you the same. The main point is that Islam teaches and encourages violence, you can not pick what to believe as allah will not accept anything but total submission from you. What are you going to teach your kids, love or hate? |
Sweetnecta: lover of paris, there is something parisians are known for. ok. there is something french people are known for. while france is known for french bread, super duper coffees, wine [yuk], french kiss [lol], perfumes and under garments, anger and bad english, the english are known for tea, biscuits and germ [spreads on bread, etc], the irish are known for their oat meal, the german is known for rigidity and silly toughness with human feeling. well the american is known for violence outburst. if you thin aluu incident is horror, that was a just sight seeing. connect school killing is a testimony.I am ashamed of you, does the two scenarios look alike? The Aluu incident and similar incidents all over Nigeria shows the backwardness of our country as expressed in their not taking the accused to the police station. On the Dearborn incident, there was nothing like that, the Muslims picked offense because the American govt took away the rights of Christian a long time ago and handed the terrorists rights to do what ever they chose. |
What are the expert in Islamic Jurisprudence saying? Hear them: "The Jurisprudence of the Biography" by al-Buti (7th ed.) published by the Azhar in Egypt "The concept of Holy War in Islam does not take into consideration whether (the war is) a defensive or an offensive war. Its goal is the exaltation of the Word of God and the construction of Islamic society and the establishment of God’s Kingdom on Earth regardless of the means. The means would be offensive warfare. In this case it is the apex, the most noble Holy War. It is legal to carry on a Holy War." "The Book of the Islamic State" by Taqiy al-Din al-Nabahan, 1953, pages 112-117 "The foreign policy of Islamic states must be to carry the Islamic mission to the world by way of holy war. This process has been established through the course of the ages from the time the apostle settled down until the end of the last Islamic state which was ruled by Islamic law. This process has never been changed at all. The apostle Muhammad, from the time he founded the state in the city Yathrib, prepared an army and began holy war to remove the physical barriers which hinder the spread of Islam. He subdued the tribe of Quraysh as a body, along with other similar groups until Islam prevailed all over the Arabian peninsula. Then the Islamic state started to knock at the doors of other states to spread Islam. Whenever it found that the nature of the existing system in these states was a barrier which prevented the spread of the mission, they saw it as inevitable that the system be removed. So holy war continued as a means of spreading Islam. Thus by holy war, countries and regions were conquered. By holy war, kingdoms and states were removed and Islam ruled the nations and peoples. The glorious Qur’an has revealed to Muslims the reasons for fighting and the ordinance of holy war and it declares that it is to carry the message of Islam to the entire world. There are several verses which command the Muslims to fight for the cause of Islam. Therefore, carrying the Islamic mission is the basis on which the Islamic state was established, the Islamic army was founded, and holy war was ordained. All the conquests were achieved accordingly. Fulfilling the Islamic mission will restore the Islamic state to the Muslims. If holy war is the established, unchangeable means of spreading Islam, then political activities become a necessity before initiating the fight. If we besiege the infidels, we would call them to embrace Islam first. If they accept Islam, they become part of the Islamic community, but if they reject Islam, they have to pay the poll-tax. If they pay it, they spare their blood and properties, but if they refuse to pay the poll-tax, then fighting them becomes lawful." "The Rightly Guided Caliphs" by Dr. Abu Zayd Shalabi, pages 66-67 "The thing which compelled Abu Bakr to invade Persia and the Byzantine Empire was not to seize their abundance, but rather to spread Islam. This claim is based on evidence that the generals of the Islamic armies used to call the countries to embrace Islam before they started fighting them. Khalid Ibn al-Walid sent a message to the princes of Persia saying:"After all, accept Islam and you will be safe, or pay the tribute; otherwise I will come to you with a people who desire death as you desire drinking wine." |
^^^^ Yes, it is definitely true, and no Muslim can deny it, but what makes Islam to fight these wars is what should be our question. The reason why those wars were fought and continue been fought is because prophet Mohammed thought that the best way to increase the number of Muslims is to threaten non Muslims to convert to Islam or lose their lives. Islamic scholars agreed that they must kill to increase the number of Muslims. consider: "The Holy War, as it is known in Islamic Jurisprudence, is basically an offensive war. This is the duty of Muslims in every age when the needed military power becomes available to them. This is the phase in which the meaning of Holy War has taken its final form. Thus the apostle of God said: ‘I was commanded to fight the people until they believe in God and his message ..."’ "Jurisprudence in Muhammad’s Biography", Dr. Muhammad Sa’id Ramadan al-Buti,page 134, 7th edition. "Islam has approved war so that the Word of God becomes supreme. This is war for the cause of God (Holy War). Muhammad, therefore, sent his ambassadors to eight kings and princes in the neighborhood of the Arab Peninsula to call them to embrace Islam. They rejected his call. Thus, it became incumbent on the Muslims to fight them." "The Spirit of Islamic Religion", Dr. ’Afifi Abdul-Fattah, page 382. God had made it clear to us that (we should) call for acceptance of Islam first, then wage war. It is not admissible to wage war before extending the invitation to embrace Islam first, as the Qur’an says. ‘We verily sent our messenger with clear proofs and revealed to them the scripture and the balance, that mankind may observe right measure, and he revealed iron, wherein is mighty power and uses for mankind and that Allah (God) may know him who helps Him and his messengers—Allah is strong, Almighty. The Methodology of Islamic Law", Dr. Muhammad al-Amin says, page 17. If your elders and wise once have said Islam accepts the shedding of blood to advance the cause of allah, who are you to criticize them. You can either accept it and start your own band of Jihadist, or reject it and get out of Islam and seek God elsewhere. |
Sexxydivaa: u need to read my earlier post,to understand i wasnt forced into islamOK, its good to hear that. However, you need to do some research on your own. |
We all know that religion is built on violence, Islamic scholars have acknowledged it. |
Sweetnecta: prodigal son's return in islam is what she has done by saying she wants to learn the process of worship, again and now.I did not know that this is how people enter Islam, little wonder that people enter Islam by force not minding the condition of thier heart! Consider the way Abu sufyan became a Muslim after been threatened by the sword. @OP how will you feel if someone threaten to kill you if you refused to join a course? |
Sweetnecta: @dexmond; the op asked about 'muslim sister learn about islam' not about mere 'praying'.Thanks for pointing out the fact that the OP wants to learn about Islam. However, learning about religious rituals and not about the God you want to serve appears to me to be waste of time. I believe the first thing before learning the rituals is to come home crying for mercy like the prodigal son who wasted his fathers resources (in the case of the OP, wasted the time to serve God). do u not think this is important than just start learning how to do ablution and the rest? |
@ OP it is not difficult praying, just ask Gods forgiveness for sins committed and promise Him that u will never do those things again, u will receive peace and assurance, you can now pray to God in a way you can. if u did not receive peace of mind, God has not forgiven. one can not do evil and just decide to come back without first asking for settlement againt him who he sinned against. |
@ OP it is not difficult |

nopuqeater: ^^^Assuming the story is true, the guy has made his own choice (this is the only thing you are correct aboui). I will face my eminent consequence, by the Will of God and I will be successfully rewarded with "true paradise", not the "heaven" you intend to find yourself, ina house that has great rooms and of course the room meant for those who abolish and encouraged others to abolish the laws and the prophets of old.Are you talking of the paradise where you will be having o.r.g.i.e.s with 72 virgins? Hear Ibn Kathir describe the virgins in his tafsir on Q 36:55? I quote him; "This means ROUND BREASTS. They meant by this THAT THE BREASTS OF THESE GIRLS WILL BE FULLY ROUNDED AND NOT SAGGING, because they will be virgins, equal in age…" (Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Abridged), (Surat At-Tagabun to the end of the Qur'an), First Edition: September 2000, Volume 10, pp. 333-334. |
Noiseless2: I'm sure even as you typed this your usual OFFEMMANNUU YAHOORROBA MGBATIC MGBATIC rubbish, you are still full of disappointment that the old fool has no even a little point to make as to justify the crimes he and his cohorts commited against over 3 million innocent civilians in Biafra. Can't you make comments devoid of tribal hate? Lets stop all these! |
LagosShia: liar!can you interprete the verse for everybody to understand, or else the poster is correct. |
kindly point out the verses of the quran where these things were said. If not, I they are mere propaganda. |
tintingz: Show us the hadith so we can examine it. . .Here is the hadith, notice the bolded. Narrated 'Aisha: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good righteous (true) dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion (the cave of) Hira where he used to worship (Allah Alone) continuously for many (days) nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that (stay) and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay, till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read." (The Prophet added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, "I do not know how to read," whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?)." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, "Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to..... ..that which he knew not." (96.15) Then Allah's Apostle returned with the Inspiration, his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and then he said, "O Khadija, what is wrong with me?" Then he told her everything that had happened and said, 'I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija said, 'Never! But have the glad tidings, for by Allah, Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good relations with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guest generously and assist the deserving, calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to (her cousin) Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle, i.e., her father's brother, who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him, "O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew." Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" The Prophet described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same Namus (i.e., Gabriel, the Angel who keeps the secrets) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they turn me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: "Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, Gabriel would appear before him and say, "O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah's Apostle in truth" whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. (Ibn 'Abbas said regarding the meaning of: 'He it is that Cleaves the daybreak (from the darkness)' (6.96) that Al-Asbah. means the light of the sun during the day and the light of the moon at night). Quoted from the Sahih (authentic) Hadith (traditions) of Bukhari, [2], Volume 9, number 111 |
LagosShia: I have never come across any evidence saying what you're claiming. The prophet's experience as a child. When Muhammad was a child a Bedouin woman nursed him. During this time he had an experience with "two men in white raiment". Here is W. M. Watt's translation of Ibn Ishaq's biography of Muhammad, page 36: "...two men in white clothes came to me with a golden basin full of snow. They took me and split open my body, then they took my heart and split it open and took out from it a black clot which they flung away. Then they washed my heart and my body with that snow until they made them pure." This event deeply disturbed the Bedouins and they returned Muhammad to his mother. Here is the story told by Muhammad's wet-nurse, related in Guillaume's translation of Ibn Ishaq, page 72: "His [Muhammad's friend's] father said to me, "I am afraid that this child has had a stroke, so take him back to his family before the result appears. ..... She [Muhammad's mother] asked me what happened and gave me no peace until I told her. When she asked if I feared a demon had possessed him, I replied that I did." Notice the bolded, it was from his nurse. |
BAD TIMES FOR ISLAM! |
sino: The series of happenings which shall take place towards the end time had been prophesised, its part of our believes as muslims. Can u show us some prophesies from the quran? |
Asiwaju9ja: Abeg educate me brother. In your case, I want to inform you that the doting parents wanted their daughter to remain a Muslim so she will enter paradise. Question; can Islam take someone to paradise? Remember, the Quran says that Muhammed is a mercy to mankind, if he is mercy to mankind, can we emulate him? What are the evidence on his personal life pointing to? Can we emulate his life style? Remember also that he said he is not sure if he will enter paradise. If the leader of about 3 billion Muslims is saying he is not sure, then there is a very big problem for Muslims. |
@rbjimoh You know Mohammed had a credibility problem? Do know the incident with the slave of Hafsat? Do you know how he collected the wife of Zaid his adopted son? Do you know he slept with all his wives in one night? Do you know he raided caravans for money? Do you know he had mental issue at a time? Read your hadiths pls. If you want proofs, I'll furnish them. |
^^^^^ Can you pls educate us on why Mohammed ordered the killing of Bint Marwan and Abu Afak? |
saly kely: u are a big fool, av u read d book? Rushdie wrote a fiction and nt a fact. How can a book meant to be a fiction be exposing islam.Did a similar thing not happen when the prophet was alive? |
MacDaddy01: Bint Marwan was killed in the front of her childrenYou study too. Great, how I wish they study their books, am sure one after the other they will see the true nature of Islam. We will continue to expose it by revealing those things that hitherto had been hidden from them. Thanks to the WWW.The Quran and Hadiths are readily available on Islamic sites. |
