abbey621: Back up your statement with facts! It's well known that Muslims in the South are proportionally more educated than those in the North. It's also a well known fact that the avenue for extremism via influence from Niger, Chad and Mali is more common in the North. You now add those factors in with a drastically more income deficient society and the rest is history! Yoruba Muslims are accommodating due to the influence of christianity and multiculturalism. |

abbey621: Want to know why things like these don'treally exist in the South even tho we have Muslims in the South? It's simple, when you mix poverty, illiteracy and fear with religion, you breed extremism. 80% of all Muslims in the North are inherently intolerant not because of Islam but because their religious and community leaders continue to preach hatred in their hearts. They are taught to see other religions as the reason for their poverty just the same way blacks here in America blame everything on racism. The solution is not eradication of Islam but true law and order, in a sane society those who committed the act are sentenced to life or the death penalty, be it Christian or Muslim if you injure or killbe prepared to face the law. So all those bashing Islam and all those supporting the actions of the perpetrators, receive sense! It has nothing to do with education. I pray the Aregbesolas of osun, and the tebliques roaming all over the place will not bring us to north situation. |

gocac: Thank you father! The truth is simple, in brotherhood of the cross and star, there is a fellowship called 144 thousand virgins fellowship, just like men fellowship or elders fellowship or even children fellowship in any other church. It is a most that only Virgins can belong to the this fellowship irrespective of your sex and age. So they as a fellowship, sacred, chosen by God and have decided to keep their body holy, and to do away with immoralities and preserve their body, have decided as a fellowship to take care of his birthday and celebrate with his holiness Olumba Olumba Obu. Pls brothers and sisters they are all virgins for real! They are not made up of calabar people alone, the ikwerre's, ibo's, yorubas, huasa, germans, English, ogoni's,urobo's, and Ghanaians, south Africans etc are all there. Not calabar alone pls. Thank you father! I thought there was a report in the one time by one of the numerous factions fighting to get the estate of obu that said the Virgins are defiled because they sleep with one another! |

gatiano: 2:256 There is no compulsion in religion — the right way is indeed clearly distinct from error. So whoever disbelieves in the devil and believes in Allah, he indeed lays hold on the firmest handle which shall never break. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing. (Holy Quran).
You are yet to answer my questions, You seem to want to cause confusion and mischief. You know nothing of Islam and not just that, of christianity too as well.
Your only claims is to lift from what GOD did not reveal and what Muhammad did not say or write. Do you have the Quran and the hadiths? open to those verses and verify if what was quoted is not true and expose it. |
Christianity Etc › Re: 30 Facts About Islam by dexmond: 8:39am On Dec 28, 2014 |
ayinba1: @malvis. I have no wish to argue with you. The Quran is free from contradictions, you can take that to the bank. You quoted from the Quran but you failed to realize that the first man worshiped God alone, associating no partners with Him. It is the same for every prophet or messenger sent to a people. They give the message but as time goes on, people begin to deviate and erect edifices/symbols/images to represent God. This is idolatry. The message becomes polluted with these inventions. The average man wants to see/feel/touch to believe. Allah is The Unseen and absolute belief in Him is the only way. It's not argument, we need someone to explain to us who the first Muslim is since the writer of the Quran appears to be confused! |

wiegraf: 1. So, basically, whatever he says is good is good, regardless, yes?
2. Who are YOU to judge your Almighty God? If he says those children go to hell, then they go to hell, simple. In your words
3. The italicized, yes, how gracious. I mean, he could have just let them die, killed them himself or ordered their deaths as usual. And again, why are you judging god? He can do as he wishes, he is good regardless of your opinion, yes?
4. As for just, as above, it clearly is a case of what he says is just is just, no? He can do as he sees fit, yes? So despite loving nonbelievers unconditionally (perhaps you should redefine the terms 'love' and 'unconditional'), he will roast us for eternity (mostly) for simply demanding proof of existence before we become blind, happy slaves, or questioning his clearly EVIL deeds (by modern standards) and standing up for humanity, dignity and decency.
Anyways, good ser, if you could address the above. 1. Yes. He is the Authority on matters of Morality. 1 peter 1:16 2. Not judging. He is the Judge of the Universe.Psalms 7:8 3. I could not find the italicized. He does as He pleases, for He is the Almighty. Job 9:12 4. Yes, what he says is just is just for he the source of our righteousness and we obtained peace in Him by doing exactly those things He wants. If one violates the traffic law, he will be dealt with. The sinner and all them that refused to accept grace made available at Calvary will eventually get what they want, that is a place(hell) where God will never interfere with there lives anymore, where no preacher will remind them to think about eternal life. Moreover, No proof shall be given you except you humble yourself and request the proof in a petition to Him. Some of us who have received proof of Gods love received it out of grace, while some diligently sought for this proof in humility. In taking a position already your mind is made up.If you accept my offer, for the Lord to show you proof of His majesty and Glory, then, concerned Nairalanders shall pray for you and your heart shall be able to receive the revelation of the Lord. |

tbaba1234: It is not a Quranic injunction, it is a cultural perception of maturity. Who exactly is a child? For different people, the definition is different. Besides, I do even why this is even a discussion, it is not a religious tenet. It was perfectly normal at the time. Cultures change over time. It is the Sunnah of the prophet. The prophet commanded that Muslims should follow his Sunnah. By refusing to do as he did you are not following his Sunnah. We were told that Islam is complete. Here you are telling us that the issue of child marriage is cultural as if Islam makes a distinction between politics and religion. For your information, the best of Muslims is the one that is obedient in following the way of the prophet including marrying children like Sani Yerima of Zamfara state.. |
