Politics / Re: SSS Blocks EFCC Officials From Accessing Lagos Office by dfanthom(m): 11:28am On May 30, 2023
Can't the two Orgs just find a way to amicably resolve this impasse or share the building together without further heating the polity & making a laughing stock of themselves in the eyes of the public.

Too early in the life of the new CiC.

Crime / Re: My Sister's Account Was Wiped Out While Her Atm Card Was With Her by dfanthom(m): 12:47pm On Dec 30, 2020
From the foregoing, I guess she used a Mobile Money Agent (MMA) who deliberately (or inadvertently) shared her card details from the merchant copy prinout with which her account was accessed & consequently defrauded!

Peeps should be especially careful with these MMAs as some of them are wolves in sheep clothing.

Eternal Caution is key!!!

Cheers y'all.

Phones / Re: How Many Phones Do You Carry At A Time? by dfanthom(m): 5:20pm On Oct 12, 2012
cool cool
don't blame moi but i've somehow found myself with 4phones & five lines

mtn for bb, samsung dual sim with etibaba & airtel, a nokia with polcom airtel line & an official visafone cug.
the visafone is usually dropped once its past office hours or when i'm wearing 1 of those combat attires with several pockets.
The good thing is that you can never be caught pants down when the networks start being mischievious, however it can be inconveniencing.
Phones / Re: Best And Worst Telecoms Customer Care Centres by dfanthom(m): 12:07am On Jul 21, 2012
as far as i'm concerned, i've neva given two hoots bout the best or worst cos when you make a critical assessment, they are all the same to a great extent! etisalat has lost their goodwill where i am cos i loaded N4,000 airtime to subscribe for their data package & at the fourth recharge of N1,000, my balance remained N1,000.
after spending 2hours tryin to reach the customer service officers which was an uphill task & unsuccessful, i sent a mail and till now, i've still not gotten a response!
very sadd i'd say for a network who i suppose is a market challenger & i guess should be more responsive.
NCC should wake up to their responsibilities.

Politics / Re: BBC Video On How Oil Is Being Stolen In Nigeria by dfanthom(m): 12:11am On Apr 25, 2012
to the uninformed, this BBC & their other cohorts in the western press cannot love us more than we do each other!
their main concern is the OIL!
the french peeps have not done anything spectacular to their former wards (francophone west, east & central africa), be not deceived as they (colonialists) are all birds of the same feather.
these same so-called bunkerers are the same peeps that have fat bank accounts in their (reporters') countries.
its just shameful that Africans have lost their pride aeons ago & are paying lip-service in getting it back!

please let the haters be mindful of whatever they say & think most especially.

when a disgruntled politician feels left out in d scheme of things, he resorts to giving others nothing but a sustained bad press!

Politics / Re: Shortage Of Medals Mars National Awards - National Mirror by dfanthom(m): 12:45pm On Nov 16, 2011
it goes to show how serious the clowns in power are!

if things like (de)merit award cant be properly planned & executed, i wonder how more serious matters of state can be efficiently done.
no wonder europeans & asians will continue to view africans as . . . . . .

Business / Re: Best Banks In Nigeria For Domicilary Accounts by dfanthom(m): 8:01am On Nov 10, 2011
hello, you may try ECOBANK!
they have the largest footprints across Africa, charges for fcy transfers are $25.00 or 0.5%.
it can even be negotiated lower if the frequency of transfers is high. No limit to transfers of inflows!

highly effective in this respect, many people don't see them coming but they have carved their niche for sure. this was a bank that had only 27 branches in Nigeria in 2005, 6years on with the Oceanic takeover, grossing almost 700 branches!

Viva l'Ecobank! grin
Phones / Re: Nigerians Dumping Glo Network For Airtel, Etisalat, & MTN? by dfanthom(m): 6:11pm On Aug 17, 2011
sheriffman:

Hello guys using Airtel claiming its cheap now pls whats your package thats giving u this cheap rate and the migration code pls.

i guess the chap that started this post was grossly misinformed ab initio or he just wants to bring up a controversial topic so that pple will really voice their opinions.
Phones / Re: New MTN Tariff Plans: F&F Xpanded, Funlink Reloaded, & Super Saver by dfanthom(m): 6:21pm On Aug 11, 2011
most folks are complaining but the Coy is making all the profits still!
it goes to show they have something other networks dont have. i suggest other networks adopt their aggressive & effective management methods coupled with lower tariffs, then will mtn be challenged in real terms and pushed out of the market leader position.
Investment / Re: What Happens To My Bank Phb Shares? by dfanthom(m): 6:34pm On Aug 09, 2011
hey,

the shares are gone, better still gone foreva!
now, just assume you never had those shares in the first place & secondly, try & forget they ever existed.
those banks do not exist anymore!! sadd but very true!!!

Phones / Re: The 'flashing' Trend In Nigeria, Doing Bad Or Good? by dfanthom(m): 7:40am On Jul 07, 2011
i believe that flashing should be a thing of the past now! call rates have really crashed unlike what we used to have from the telcos!
any1 caught flashing should be flogged & told to sit out in the sun for @ least 3hours.
however, some people are recalcitrant & professional flashers!!!
Politics / Re: Ibb Lectures Jonathan On Governance – Vanguard by dfanthom(m): 9:30am On Jul 06, 2011
i guess IBB's had his dose of sober reflection!
he was a military despot then, in anyway i urge GEJ to examine the advice thoroughly b4 accepting it.
Politics / Re: Boko Haram: Soldiers Deployment Hits 3,000 In Borno State by dfanthom(m): 4:37pm On Jun 29, 2011
Let them move a battalion to maiduguri if that is what it'd take to solve this quagmire once & for all!
the sad thing is that most of the time & worse, in most situations the govt is never sincere about solving issues that goes out of hand especially when it relates to the common man.

i wish them what they wish themselves!
Phones / Re: Airtel Nigeria Drop Calls To N12 by dfanthom(m): 7:50pm On Dec 02, 2010

Sports / Re: Sacking Amodu Was A Mistake - Odemwingie by dfanthom(m): 12:04pm On Jun 23, 2010
sacking amodu might/might not have been a mistake, however his replacement has not done better. the length of time the coach & boys have stayed together shouldn't be an excuse as they all knew the prevailing conditions & consequences of not appreciating it.

osaze should STOP all his bickering & double-speak when things don't favour him. he should concentrate on being a better footballer rather than a misguided talkative.

Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Slept With My Friend And Got Her Pregnant. by dfanthom(m): 9:47am On Jun 08, 2010
where & what were you doing when your bf & gf seduced each other & started bumping pelvices? you'd certainly pay the price for the levity you displayed in protecting your emotional & sexual interests.

just move on or he'd still do it again to you & this time you might not survive the trauma & heartbreak that might follow! it might be with your sister, cousin or som1 closer.  .  .   .   .

MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE!!!
Career / Re: I Caught My Colleagues Stealing by dfanthom(m): 4:57pm On Jun 07, 2010
guy, you better be the whistle-blower, otherwise when the chips are down i can bet you'd both serve the same punishment. you'd just be roped in as an accomplice on what you can't totally deny ignorance about.

DGJ, beware of the likes of these psychopathic sycophants & their cousins, the sycophantic psychopaths. . . . . .

aondoakaa, should cover his head in shame & keep his mouth shut forever or until he publicly apologises to ALL Nigerians of his gross misdemeanors!!
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia: A Better Eagles Performance by dfanthom(m): 9:48am On Jun 02, 2010
certainly better than the saudi match & not good enough considering the calibre of our opponents in the 1st round & the quality of football that used to be obtainable from the Eagles of Old.  .  .  .   .   .

the supa-chickens should just go & grace the occasion of the World Cup SA2010 & come back after the First -round so that we can concentrate on other more serious teams that came with a definite purpose of winning the converted trophy.

when the supa-chickens stop playing insipid, lack-lustre, purposeless, de-moralising football, then we'd start taking them more seriously.  .  .   .   .
