Politics / Re: Rawlings: Yar’adua Prevented Kuffuor From Rigging Ghana’s Polls by dfanthom(m): 6:49pm On Aug 03, 2009
grin grin grin grin

naija's case is akin to the armed-robber who when he was about to be executed via firing squad & asked to say his last words, he replied 'let my enemies live long & see what i'd be in future!'.  .   .   .this'd be our case if we don't start getting it right.
Health / Re: Free Tuberculosis Drugs Diverted To Other Nations Because Of Tax by dfanthom(m): 3:57pm On Aug 03, 2009
r u sure? get your facts right before coming to the forum. we've gone past the era of hearsay!
the investigative journalists in the house will certainly go snoop around! grin
Sports / Re: Its Official: Nigerian League Ranked Best In Africa (Ahead Of Egypt) by dfanthom(m): 3:28pm On Aug 03, 2009

we are awaiting a fresh response! grin
Politics / Re: Rawlings: Yar’adua Prevented Kuffuor From Rigging Ghana’s Polls by dfanthom(m): 3:25pm On Aug 03, 2009
i wonder how true this can be?! when we cant hold our own free & fair election, we'd now persuade another country to do the needful. i thought he who comes with equity comes with clean hands!
ghana is trying very hard & if we arent careful they'd steal it from our very own bossom, this 'giant' stuff i mean.

@Bennyboy, you have points that naija needs to go & reflect on, doesn't mean you should wish Rawlings dead. he'd still die anyway, like everyone else!!!

well, let's go work on our organisational skills but that's the foundation of greatness for any nation. ghana should go work on its clout & at the end of the day, may the smarter team WIN!
Politics / Re: Why Africa Remains Undeveloped –Yar’adua by dfanthom(m): 7:24pm On Jul 31, 2009
the laggard will just go there & expose his ignorance freely to the world.
if he comes back & practices a tenth of what he preached over there then naija will improve by 50% in all ramifications. but i know the laggard doesn't even believe in what he's preaching and the audience knows this too! tongue
Politics / Re: Detained Nigerian Sect Head 'Dead' - Breaking News by dfanthom(m): 7:11pm On Jul 31, 2009
i believe the guy was hurriedly butchered so he doesn't spill the beans on some prominent people that can be implicated in this quagmire.
secondly, once identified as a cop killer, ur lifespan is highly reduced exponentially! anywhere in the world, however it's more bizarre & barbaric in africa!!!
Nairaland / General / Re: Is Nigerian Police Your Friend? by dfanthom(m): 7:08pm On Jul 31, 2009
if u see a 9ja cop coming your way, RUN WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! grin grin

see the way they butchered boko haram Sect leader!! then u'd understand better
Nairaland / General / Re: Is Nigerian Police Your Friend? by dfanthom(m): 3:49pm On Jul 31, 2009
these guys won't have any friends at any/every given time! for 99.9% of the time they are insane & deluded.
however for the 0.1% they are normal, they can save your arse. i am talking from personal experience & on behalf of family, friends & acquaintances. shocked

according to an eastside proverb: if you see an armed robber coming from the left, and you see a policeman coming from the right; bro better go to the robbers cos you know what they want already!
Politics / Re: Alleged World Bank Document Names Top Nigerians And Their Loot In Foreign Banks by dfanthom(m): 7:20pm On Jul 30, 2009

Career / Re: Oceanic Bank Sack Over 1500 Staffs In 30days by dfanthom(m): 4:52pm On Jul 30, 2009
all banks will certainly make provisions for toxic assets. however, i don't think OBIN has sacked up to 1,500 staff in the last few weeks.
there's no need to crucify the poster, it's all about doing a proper homework & countering the facts (if any) herein. it's an eye opener & food for thought but i don't think it's a quarter as bad as the poster has presented. all staff must be subjected to mgt's policy & if any staff cant comply, saying goodbye should b d nxt move!
let's keep hoping for the best!!! grin
Sports / Re: N8.2 Billion NTA U-17 World Cup Scandal by dfanthom(m): 5:31pm On Jul 29, 2009

Politics / Re: 1960: Were We Ready For Independence? by dfanthom(m): 6:42pm On Jul 27, 2009
of course we weren't ready. the so called leaders wanted everything for themselves. they were too tribalistic to an exponential degree!
i suggest the Ghanaians should come & re-colonise naija cos i think there's so much to learn from our Ghanaian brodas now.
tongue
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Oil Revenue Cut By Half In The Ist Quarter by dfanthom(m): 6:23pm On Jul 27, 2009
it doesn't matter @ all! when it was fully receipted, nothing happened. rather infrastructure degenerated, now that revenue is halved, they are crying cos there's less to steal.
in fact, let them grind this govt to a halt, then maybe they'd be some +ve change.
undecided
Business / Re: Gtbank Seeks To Wind Up Virgin Nigeria by dfanthom(m): 7:36pm On Jul 23, 2009
GT should do all possible within legal limits to retrieve their funds.
A lesson I learnt from Warren Buffet, on rules that he sends to his staff every year:

1. never lose shareholders' funds
2. remember the first rule

with this guiding any firm, they sure will have to go & recover shareholder's funds cos in this jungle, there's no paddy!
Politics / Re: Jos Riot: Ibb Appears Before Ajibola Commission by dfanthom(m): 7:36pm On Jul 23, 2009
that tyrant should not even be given the chance to breath oxygen in this naija! no-one in his right thinking sense should even conceive an ibb come back. i guess feyisan is working for him presently or his folks benefited from the largeese in the past.

the panel should investigate, scrutinize that beast, i'm sure he'd be indicted at the end of it all.

Career / Re: Bankers' Forum by dfanthom(m): 1:56pm On Jul 22, 2009
banking is fun but however, at this crucial time of this global meltdown, it's much more terrible. the slightest error can send one packing.
generally, it's an occupation that can open doors when properly harnessed. grin
Politics / Re: Can A Person Buy A Private Jet With An Accountant or doctor Salary by dfanthom(m): 1:54pm On Jul 22, 2009
YES they can! & even you too!!! cheesy
there is something called opportunity & it comes around once in a while. all you need is to be adequately equipped to benefit from it. tongue

'Impossible is nothing' is the word!!! wink

of course, it's not only one's salary that is spent in a month before the next, only funds do come in even marginally. the next best move is to increase the marginal income to surpass the main source & the sky will be the beginning grin

finally & most importantly, is owning a private jet the individual's priority?

Politics / Re: Dangote Going Broke? by dfanthom(m): 2:08pm On Jul 21, 2009
most businesses do undergo tough times in their cycle. however, if they have been ethical & base the biz venture on fundamentals then i guess they'd survive the storm. however, if they have been cooking the books & ignoring the fundamentals, then the crash is imminent 'cept the govt bails them out. grin

also, the company might be broke & he'd still be rich as an individual. whichever way, i gat to build my own empire too. eze puoh, eze anochiem!!! cheesy cheesy

there's something to look forward to as your fantasies are played out before you! cool

need a freak in the mornin, a freak in the evenin kiss

for me, freak is one that is sexually adventurous, not necessarily one that does anal. have you ever dated a gal that won't even do 'doggie style'? says it makes her feel like a dog in the real sense. i had to jump & pass o before she kill the kamasutra in me! grin
