Business / Re: Who Is This Sweet-tongue Mr. Forex Guy On Our Radio Sets In Lagos? by dfanthom(m): 6:59pm On Jul 16, 2009
this guy is nuts! i don't believe the little he says, am sure he's a scam looking for gullible & especially greedy folks that'd fall into his trap.
the funds he makes from this so-called classes for everyone is enough to help get him to the 'forex eldorado' he desires. kindly advise those very close to you to exercise caution & restraint in listening to & dealing with him.

a word is enough for the wise shocked
Politics / Re: Nigeria Changes Defence Minister After Mend Attacked Lagos by dfanthom(m): 6:58pm On Jul 16, 2009
i think they need to do much more than that. it's not by changing people that have been so long in the system yet nothing has improved.
i hope against hope that he performs where his predecessor has failed.

Politics / Re: Do You Believe In Free Healthcare For All Nigerians? by dfanthom(m): 1:06pm On Jul 15, 2009
nope, not soon!
Nigeria (Govt) doesn't have the WILL to do this , I must confess. I'm not a pessimist but these goons have found a way to kill a gr8 chunk of the optimism one has for the fatherland!!
when this will be do-able will be in a time when a more socially responsive government is on seat & not this inept parade we have standing before us. at this speed in democratic deliverables, say year 2100 grin for real!!!
Family / Re: Find Condom In Your Husband’s Pocket: What Will You Do? by dfanthom(m): 11:48am On Jul 15, 2009
@ post, nice one people really laying it bare! smiley

@MrBrownJay, your response is really suitable for the situation. i also totally agree with your opinion on the issue. having a condom doesn't translate to being philanderous. i recall when i was an undregraduate, i used to buy packs & packs to keep in my room, making sure i dont keep all my eggs in one basket. however, i can really count how many i eventually use becos my friends & neighbours (that r in d know) that mock me about this are the ones who eventually use & have been saved by its availability. shocked

people should learn to take the necessary precautions, without exceptions wink
Politics / Re: Henry Okah Released by dfanthom(m): 7:20pm On Jul 14, 2009
this tortoise govt is certainly up to something that we'd find out in a short while. releasing the guy is surely the first step, ask asari dokubo!
i hope all this ends soon! cheesy
Romance / Re: WOULD A NURSE BE A GOOD HOUSEWIFE? by dfanthom(m): 7:01pm On Jul 14, 2009
its not by being police or not! if a woman won't be faithful, even if she's a goddess she still won't be!!! grin grin
however, i do not really feel comfy with any uniform -wearing persons especially the police because of what the rot that has befallen them has made them to become.
this goes beyond being a police woman or not, it's about one's imbibed values and perspective in life.

it's all about the attitude tongue
Politics / Re: Vote Wole Soyinka's Face For 5000 Naira Note Currency ! by dfanthom(m): 1:25pm On Jul 14, 2009
NICE ONE na.com! grin
this is totally ingenius!!! wink

Prof really fits the bill, as a renowned Kongi of tort,
however, my only reservation is that we do not need a 5grand note, that'sd only be a manifestation of hyper-inflation. shocked
going forward, it'd be adopted in the coat of arms of the Federal Republic,

Politics / Re: Buhari To Float New Party by dfanthom(m): 3:49pm On Jul 11, 2009
sad, sadd, saddd embarassed!
this guy should know he has nothing to offer, either in pdp, anpp, or even the us democratic party. someone that hated democracy cannot now want to benefit from it.
he should go meditate all over & i'm sure he'd hear that still small voice telling him to 'let go'! grin
Family / Re: Is Secrecy In Marriage Protective Or Destructive? by dfanthom(m): 3:12pm On Jul 11, 2009
i believe there should be no secrets between couples/ partners however there are some issues that should be considered on a case by case basis for the relationship to survive. it's not particularly pleasant to disclose some information because it'd trigger a chain reaction that might consume ALL parties involved. lipsrsealed
i know what i mean here, to preserve the inherent peace. the other poster Loyeruope has said it all.
wish you all the best in discerning what to divulge or hold back. cool
Health / Re: Overseas Treatment: FG Moves To Create 5-Star Hospitals by dfanthom(m): 12:22pm On Jul 10, 2009
jobs that they have given to their politician friends & their cronies to use as a conduit to misappropriate & embezzle funds. may God save them because for every citizen's soul that is lost becos of their lootocracy, one member of their family will be used to replace that citizen. so shall it be?

people that do not regard God & man, God will uproot them one by each from this country.
Politics / Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by dfanthom(m): 7:35pm On Jul 09, 2009

Politics / Re: Yar’adua Leaves For G8 Summit On Wednesday by dfanthom(m): 7:14pm On Jul 09, 2009
but i wonder why som folks are so overly optimistic about yar'fail. if the guy had something to offer you'd have seen it latest in his 1st year of governing. there would have been a policy direction & a general sloganeering by the FG such that the electorate can say this is/are the priority/ies for now. we have stayed too long not to realise that this government is busy doing nothing 'cept wondering in the wrong direction. this meeting is for performers & not for fill in the gap leaders, rulers in our case. embarassed

so many smaller african countries that usually count on naija are seriously looking for a new pillar to rest on cos they cant really say where we are headed.

so so sadd cry
Romance / Re: Should Age Be An Obstacle Between Two Lovers? by dfanthom(m): 1:37pm On Jul 09, 2009
let me say this, stop fooling each other it won't work because this fellow has folks and there's a society around you that frowns at such relationships! You cannot get married still becos the age gap is too much between both of you.
if it were just a scrotal relationship between two consenting adults, maybe yes but don't get greedy and go for more like marriage!! shocked
age is just a number but the difference should be moderate. not a 20yr old guy marrying a 65yr old woman, that's certainly not proper angry!
wish you all the best as you try to get into a more rewarding relationship. cool
Politics / Re: 2011 Election Result To Be Released Instantly by dfanthom(m): 1:16pm On Jul 09, 2009
Hey, let's be mindful because they have NOW perfected the art of rigging without regrets!
watch & see, these men don't get tired & like they said this might just be the first step to consolidating their rule for 60years, a dictatorship! angry
Politics / Re: Bauchi To Demolish Dep. Governor’s House by dfanthom(m): 1:00pm On Jul 09, 2009
its a case of dog eat dog! Yuguda should know that it's not becos he's married to the president's daughter that he shld be callous & belligerent. he should be more civilised as no condition is permanent. also all what he's doing to his deputy shows how primitive, shallow & unreasonable a man who the electorate empathised with & felt was head & shoulders above the rest if the pack.
it only goes to show that most of the military & civilian dictators especially the former that have governed us are good.  reason is, if sub-humans like yugud-mumu become president, they'd brooker no opposition & chastise the governed with whips & scorpions! angry
may we be delivered from these oppressors in the making! angry

@GEW,
please be mindful of your utterance as that was totally off the point. this has nothing to do with religious beliefs!
Business / Re: Zain Africa Has Finally Been Sold To Vivendi Of France At $12billion by dfanthom(m): 10:40am On Jul 09, 2009
i hope they deliver superior services @ reasonable prices! (wishful tinkin') these briefcase businessmen & their tricks; i guess they'd want to get their funds back say b4 the year runs out. so zain subscribers should get ready for very high tariffs & enough dropped calls cos that's the easiest way to make money via telecoms in naija plus the fact that the regulators are not just looking the other way, they are engaged in fisticuffs! angry
Business / Re: Zain Africa Has Finally Been Sold To Vivendi Of France At $12billion by dfanthom(m): 1:53pm On Jul 08, 2009
what's this all about? saad al barak & his band of briefcase businessman are at it again! i hope they improve service delivery, spread & prices of their services! meanwhile i hope they recall their sacked staff.
whatever they want to do, na them sabi as they can stretch me a consultancy job on their re-branding that is imminent. cool
wishin them more grease to their elbow, smiley
Politics / Re: Yar’adua Leaves For G8 Summit On Wednesday by dfanthom(m): 1:09pm On Jul 08, 2009
for Presido Yar'wetin to be there as a number is good however i can't seem to picture any meaningful or intellectual discourse he'd contribute . i just hope against hope that whatever advice as per the 7-point misfire & rule o' law is taken seriously by him. as usual i know its another opportunity for his aides to misappropriate funds again. shocked

puskin:

Wat can he discuss? He'll listen nd talk nd also receive recommendations nd working models 4rm d G8 meeting. Wen he comes back nd itz time 2put the things garnern'd in2 his "working machinery", he will just b anoda big MUMU.

yes o! & set up anoda committee to review it so that it can be implemented in the 2nd term! cry shocked

Family / Re: Please Help I Dont Love My Wife by dfanthom(m): 6:56pm On Jul 07, 2009
i say it to whoever that never marry out of pity! & always say in your mind that any lady that you can play bump-bump should be good enough to be a wife. if guys take this into consideration then there'd be minimal issues to contend with.

now that this has happened, u have to live with it. so make a conscious effort to learn to love her as this is the first step in resolving the psychological stalemate! never forget to say your prayers too.
it's easier said than done but try & see if things won't get better! cool
Politics / Re: Yar’Adua Laments Oshodi-Apapa Road Collapse by dfanthom(m): 6:13pm On Jul 07, 2009
u all must be joking. do u not know that it's against the rule of law to repair that road? shocked and that lamentation is a legitimate show of concern in this dispensation! do not worry, several committees to investigate & standing committees to oversee will be set up to propose what can be done about the road so that it'd be included in the next Appropriation bill for next year. lipsrsealed abi?
that's what will come up eventually!!! i was upset that the previous govt was moving @ the pace of a snail, this one is moving @ the pace of an elderly snail cry & all we can do is sit back, complain & mourn.

it's a federal road & it's the responsibility of the Fed Govt to repair it as it'd have been budgeted for. LASG has it's own budget which doesn't include the budget for the road. therefore don't blame BRFash tongue. didn't the minister do a compilation of roads to be repaired? well, what do you expect from a man that used about 9 months to constitute his cabinet?

God save us from these nitwits & buffoons!
Politics / Re: Governors Abandon States For Abuja, Lagos, Abroad by dfanthom(m): 1:35pm On Jul 07, 2009
Even if they are on ground or govern from the moon, it cannot & will not translate to good governance as 99.999% can/will not perform. these guys believe we owe them so much & should pay for ALL their whims & caprices. it's rather unfortunate that in this 21st century, Naija can still be this backward. our leaders have all failed US continually. cry
when will all this end? well, the govs are trying to launder their funds properly & as u know naija man, he go wan see the vault wey hin own money enter.  lipsrsealed
May the Almighty deliver us from this travesty called 9ja leadership!!! shocked
Politics / Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by dfanthom(m): 4:05pm On Jul 06, 2009
tpacalipse:

the meanig of vision 2020 to yahra dull is loot nigeria dry by 20 20 grin grin

r u joking? they first started with vision 2000, then vision2010 & now 2020!!! shocked
these highway robbers won't let go until naija is bled dry & worse than somalia! this govt lacks drive, dept, charisma, vision & initiative.   they themselves know they can't do it or get us there cos of lack of wherewithal.

summary is that it's a daydream!!! embarassed most smaller African countries can do things that we can only dream of, electricity, roads, rail, even water! when last did anyone turn on their taps, place their tumblers to fetch & drink directly!! it's nearly impossible because of fear of the unknown,

so sad that we have derailed this far from the expectations @ independence
Culture / Re: Did You Hawk Anything On The Streets As A Child ? by dfanthom(m): 11:05am On Jul 06, 2009
very interesting thread that elicit feelings of nostalgia from members of Nairaland. i didn't particularly hawk but I sold some stuff like bread, matches etc(for a very short time anyway) for mum in front of the block of flat that we resided in. cheesy

the most interesting adventure i had as a kid was when i went to our garden & plucked pumpkin leaves (ugu), washed and tied them up accordingly in N1.00 bunches or so & placed them in a tray. before i could say jack robinson, it was sold out & i made like N40-50 bucks or so for practically free. it was an awesome experience for me at the time. if only i continued in the enterpreneurship drive. it's still in the blood anyway & irrespective of what i'm doing now i intend to 'mind my own business' & be an employer of at least 1000 employees IJN! cool

kudos to all those that went thro this & are shining examples today. it only goes to show that God will not ignore the days of little beginnings & the determination that it begets tongue
Politics / Re: 2011: Pdp Senators Asks For Automatic Ticket! by dfanthom(m): 6:13pm On Jul 03, 2009

may d devices of the enemies be pulled down IJN!!! they will fail in their quest to impoverish & stangulate Nigeria!!!!
