Richy4:Richy4 you be old man sha . Late Francis Agu was known for selling items in order to maintain his drugs addiction in CheckMate. Me too I be old man ![]() |
Putin: Wó, ogbèní last time my boys invaded Georgia, I was busy hunting in the forest... Obama: Mugu, I sent my SEAL team to decimate OBL that ravished the Soviet Union for years |
senatorbayor:His pomo cutting makes me laugh, honestly. I don't have any issue with that at all. Theatrical gestures are good once in a while but dressing should be appropriate for a public office holder. But guess what? It's his choice. Be it suit or agbada, modest, decent and timely should be the watch words for dressing and grooming. |
Mynd44:Hi Mynd44, agbadá is also suit (albeit African) with the cap hence the recognition of alternative to western type. On your last statement, you hit the nail on the head. |
senatorbayor:I've not seen any dress code for politicians. It is also good not appropriate what suits you. Personally I prefer jean and tees/checkered shirts but my boss stipulates otherwise. I didn't argue. What you think is appropriate for you might not be appropriate for the occasion. We borrowed the western culture of dressing and grooming for white collar vocation. Civil servants are white collar workers because most times they sit behind a desk. The Japanese used to wear samurai outfit but they embraced the western ideology and had to change that too. I personally find Fayose amusing in his theatrical mode (gbòmó cutting et al). ![]() |
blueto:blueto, I'm not condemning Fayose but when PMB made that reference, I guess he was referring to Nigerians' elaborate show off when they make money and not dressing and grooming wrt official vocation. Like I said earlier MZ changed his mo when he was about to meet PMB. |
The point is not wearing tees, but a political office holder? Haba Fayose reason am well na. Between MZ is a technie, blueto. Fayose isn't. Vocation determines/dictates what we wear. Case in point (albeit someone earlier posted it), MZ wore a suit for a function with the PMB. Ciao. |
midolian:Haba midolian, you don't know usefulness of our friends? 1. Guarding rich people 2. Guarding sons and daughters of men and women in government 3. Dancing at parties 4. Accidental discharge experts 5. Add your own... |
The young man knows his father so he is not a bastard. It's not fair to such words. Just like chocolateme said, be careful of what you say. I just hope this doesn't get to frontpage. Better off, the mods should kill this thread. |
winkmart:Check your post. One word is not correctly spelt and do it fast before one of NL itks sees it. Shalom. |
Insecurity is one of the greatest challenge we have as a nation. |
It's okay. But what is with wedding outside the country these days? |
JeffreyJamez:Thanks to God say I no be cat. JeffreyJamez alágà áwòn wéŕey |
[quote author=charix post=48998644]People on twitter have time sha.[/quote I'm telling you. How they pick up on these things baffles me. If some of us spend more time on improving ourselves, with so many online certifications, then who knows where it can take us. |
Chubhie:Thanks for your comment. I asked my MD's PA that are there hairdos for professional settings. She replied in the negative because she knew my next question. The HR and Admin Manager were both wearing hairdos that resembles lunatics. In a professional environment? Some will expose their mammary glands for all to see including married women and will be pulling their clothes up when having a conversation with you which is embarrassing. Like someone said "women are really fast-tracking the end of this world". ![]() |
Adex097:Factory setting for a Nigerian politician is corruption. They need to be sent packing. |
JeffreyJamez:JeffreyJamez please don't tell me you are the one on that guy's IG page or are expecting another JeffreyJamez? ![]() |
Corruption in Nigeria is like a hydra-headed beast. Cut off one of the heads, two grow in its place. |
You people should free this man. Sometimes it's better to sheath our swords. |
DonBobes:Okay. I'm glad you responded honestly. In all branches of military and paramilitary, morale is low. How are you holding up? |
claremont:Yes it is all over the Internet but the identity of the guys that go for missions are not known. I'm sure not everyone knows about the famous American Sniper until his death. Did Obama and his team reveal the details of the ops on OBL until the mission was successful? |
Lovetinz:Thought I was the only one that observed it. Can the NA keep away from the limelight for a little bit? Too much paparazzi in everything people do these days. DonBobes where are you? |
ColtPython:ColtPython no make me vex for you. I expect you to say you'll join in taking these men down, not watch. These people are collectively destroying our country. Really painful. Jungle justice is not ideal, honestly but these really think they are untouchable. Time will tell. |
tit:You've not heard that Osun weed field has been destroyed? He's on Kwale weed mixed with cow dung. Did a sitting senator really say all that? Nigeria is really turning into a laughing stock. |
Mylove55:My point is this: don't our cops have better issues to resolve? |
obyrich:Better. Remember to mark the spot and escalate to the appropriate authorities, else someone closer to us gets bitten the ugly situation. How was your day? |
obyrich:obyrich you took a big risk by doing that. So long as it's not advertised by the company, I ain't taking a drop of the fluid, even if it's free. What if you died from poisoning? |
The Commissioner of Police, Imo State, Taiwo Lakanu, said the command was working with the military to end the crisis in the community. Lakanu, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone, said the police were faced with the challenge of a difficult terrain and the reluctance of residents to give information. He said, “We heard that some people were killed, but the situation is not as terrible as that. Two cults are involved in the crisis in that community and the problem has been on for about three years. After killing each other, they would retreat into the creeks. The terrain is difficult and because the families of the victims don’t also cooperate with the police in the area of information, it becomes difficult to make arrests. The above was copied from the thread that shed light on the killings going on in Imo State by two rival cult groups over oil found in the community. Policemen cannot access the creeks because the terrain is difficult? I guess I'm not in this country or this is an apparition? Sometimes I fear for the unborn children and the little innocent ones around us. |
jmoore:Honestly, I couldn't agree less with comment. Very saddening, albeit there are still some of them that do their work well. |
Is the mass wedding a security threat? There is a fundamental problem in Nigeria that I'm yet to relate with. There are kidnappers, rapists, hoodlums and touts disturbing the peace of residents of Lagos, Abia, Anambra, Ogun et al. Cultists on the increase. Security operatives should channel their energy towards these vices not mass wedding. Talking about misplaced priorities. |
