If APC had been truthful to us from the get go, perhaps they wouldn't have won the election or the pressure for eldorado won't have been there. They painted PMB as our Christ and saviour and today the cross is becoming to heavy for him to carry.

An open market is the solution to our current economic woes. CBN should as a matter of patriotism and urgency desist from controlling the value of our currency and let market forces control it just as it does not have the legal right to peg the exchange rate in the very first place. This call is very timely so that we can avoid the sharp practises currently being perpetuated by the privileged few who are in the corridors of powers.

More so, who is the government subsiding dollar for, because it just cannot be the average or poor nigerians who buy dollar at the rate of N320 directly and indirectly.

This was my initial believe until I did a search on my number. You can as well try other numbers. I am very sure of what I am saying.

Try and do a truecaller search and see the result for yourself.

I came out this discovery after a heated debate of how true caller works and how it is able to identify persons and their numbers. Some persons are of the view that you can match the number of a person to his/her name even though the person has not used truecaller before. I confidently disagree even when they cited examples. I argued that truecaller doesn't work that way and the reason the examples they cited were true is because like most nigerians these persons may have unknowingly registered or used the services of truecaller without knowing the security implications but I was totally wrong when I did a truecaller search. I queried different numbers from the major networks but only MTN numbers returned the registered name of the entered numbers even my MTN line and my dad's own that we have never used with internet enable phones returned our names and even with more conviction that MTN actually sold the sim registration data of Nigerians. The names that matched our numbers were the same names that have typographical errors made by MTN registration agent at the time of sim registration.

The time has come for us to be so conscious about our privacy wherein are embedded our security and safety.

You can confirm this criminal breach of trust when you do a truecaller query, you will be amazed with the result.

This country is a very one kind place! When the parents of Ese Oruru followed the rational, logical and legal way to retrieve their daughter, they were toss to and fro. Now that social media is involve, complacent officials have started doing the right thing they should have done. We are our own worst enemy. The govt is not our problem neither corruption our problem is our ourselves. the loss of patriotism, respect for the feelings of others and for our laws are the whys we are not moving forward as a country.

This EFCC of late seems to be winning the fight against corruption on the pages of newspapers and nairaland only. If this is how they will fight and prosecute corruption and corrupt officials then i fear for my dear country.

The reason Metuh tore the statement may as well be that the EFCC officials may have succeeded in doctoring the statement of Metuh. From Junaid account I can infer so many things

1) Did metuh gave the statement to him willingly or he collected it by force, I believe the latter.
2) Let for the sake of fairness agreed that metuh gave him the state, why must he collect the statement when he knows metuh has not endorsed it.
3) EFCC saying that Metuh's statement was only captured on 4 sheets of paper on a matter that borders on financial misappropriation leaves much to be desired if Junaid's account was anything to go by.
4) At first we were told he ate the torn statement, now Junaid is saying he wanted to pocket the torn statement. which will the court, nairalanders, bubu's zombies believe since both statements cannot be said to be true?

I can go on and on poking holes at Junaid account of what happen but let me leave it here for more nairalanders intelligent ones and metuh defence councils to poke more holes at Junaid testimony.

If EFCC continue this way they will not be able to gain conviction against accused corrupt officials.

If some of the comments so far are a representation of the intellectual level of our youths, then Nigeria is in for a big and blink future. Most of us just read the title and we make nonsensical and below our mentality comments.

Our law states one is innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law. why this media conviction when the issue is in court? Some of us are victims of typographical errors in our names from these certificate awarding institutions and the senator may just as well be a victim of it. in fact a friend of mine almost lost four years of academic experience during our final year screening because of error in surname. the grace that covered him was an affidavit he swore when he noticed the error.

Our media houses most recently don't present issues on a balance surface, they are so bias that they skew their reportage towards a particular direction and as a result creating a false illusion of guilt.

it wouldn't cost us if we looked at issues from the other side, if anything, it will make us understand the issues more and see the emotional colouring involve.

Sometimes i just wonder what we enjoy when we laundered the image and reputation of other people. The other day the president, who have unlimited access to quality information said so far there is no concrete evidence that this woman abuse her office or laundered our common patrimony but non of us want to believe the president, because what the president said is against our emotional conviction of Mrs Diezani.

APC and some powerful individual has used the media to create in our subconscious, Diezani, a woman of immeasurable guilt, and as such we see her as public enemy two after GEJ.

The APC government at the federal level has been in office for 9 months and counting and still they have said anything about the purported missing $20billion dollars, commonly believed to have been stolen by GEJ, Diezani and their cronies.

since the emergence of this administration, EFCC has been linking for no material reason! we are tired of the linking, we want a solid and undisputed presentation of evidence in the court that will lead to conviction.
