Six members of the Coalition of Delta State 2019 Governorship Candidates have dissociated themselves from an online publication intended to cause disaffection between them and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as they described such as malicious and unfounded. The members included Hon Lucky Dikadi of PRP, Evang Augustine Obiodogwu of DA, Comrade Nelly Anyira of NCMP, Barr Ossai Olie of GDPN, Engr Lucky Oyowi and Helen Onokiti of APDADA.
In a statement made available to The Pointer, they alleged that the publication titled “Revolt in Delta State as Okowa Refuses to Settle Governorship Candidates Who Adopted Him as Agreed” as a figment of the writer’s imagination. “We refute and dissociate ourselves from this wicked and malicious act aimed to cause disaffection between us and our amiable Governor who has been making Deltans proud. Let it be on record that at no time did we revolt or discuss with any press on this issue” they said. In the same vein, they pledged to support the state government to ensure that Deltans continued to enjoy the prosperity agenda and the dividends of good governance.
