"Why dont you drink some "?
"Have some more wine are you shy"
I told him no like its bloody lunch time who gets wasted at lunch
And he said to me he thought i was a classy chic, but he thought WRONG!

After he said that i felt insulted just killed the mood , but didnt say anything just told him i have to go and would call him later.

Was he drunk?

Well, it doesn't matter. The end product is sex.

Prec1ous:
WAYS TO SIMPLIFY HOW YOU READ
By: PRECIOUS IRIAEVHO

The popular saying goes thus, learning is a continuous process and its completion is at death.
It is worthy to note that we learn with each passing second on earth – knowingly or passively; formally and informally.

The formal aspect is where our discuss will veer towards today because it is the innate urge to learn more that has stretched the curiosity of man to all field and the only solace and joy so far is in the ability to fully grasp and comprehend al the varying concepts.

Man been a higher specie further saw the reason for an organized gathering or a location where learning can be done orderly and with maximum effect, thus the concept of school and higher institutions.

Every person today is in a learning process -at work, school {university, secondary e.t.c} and the circle continues, but the need to ingrain the ideas for practice of the theoretical concept learned and In most case to pass an exam that ushers one to a new level of success and achievement, hence the word READING.

Reading can easily be illustrated as trying to understand an idea, theory for long term use, I suppose you have a definition for it too?

GET YOUR LOCATION

Some people thrive well in classrooms, others the library, some the garden, cafeteria, sidewalk, I even saw a guy reading on the toilet seat, whatever works for you.

You have to discover your location, which is the place where your assimilating powers are heightened, it’s not really about the distractions, and it’s the effort you can put towards full concentration.

Find your location and stick to it.

TIMING MATTERS
While we keep getting news of individuals doing long hours of reading, you might be forced to wonder if there is an upcoming reading marathon coming up. The truth is that is what works for them, but also we have those who cannot even go beyond thirty 30 minutes.

You have to know yourself – if you are a marathon reader or a snack reader, that way you can flow better with time and put efficiency to your reading abilities.

FIELD AND SUBJECT IN VIEW

With a vast array of subjects and fields that have intersection with theoretical writing, mathematical calculations and analysis to even abstract thinking, it is noteworthy that the student has a prior grasp and understanding of the subject matter or it will just be another case of pouring water into a basket.

And another tip here is to rotate, if you are get bored of a mathematical based subject, switch to totally mathematical unrelated subject or what have you.it works all the time.

MOTIVATING FACTOR

It has been shown repeatedly that man tend to achieve more in any endeavor or activity when there is a motivating factor or incentive.
In this case reading is the activity, reward yourself for any reading achievement either by taking a chilled drink or a snack break, it works all the time.

Set reading landmarks and goals and abide all through like a sheep.

BUT wait, wait, what is more motivation than the fear of failing an exam or going blank in the interview and examination hall, you don’t want to experience this so read!

Yes, to simplify how you read and get a full understanding you just have to keep reading, everywhere you go, take a book along

Read before you sleep, even when you wake, just keep reading and in a short time it will get so simple for you.

Or have you never heard that “READERS ARE LEADERS”

Get to comment other ways you have been able to simplify how you read and let others learn, so we can turn the world to one big knowledge pool because every is READING!

THANKS.

Antoinne you are absolutely right it is unfathomable and flat out ludicrous. The reason why you get so much hormonal retorts for speaking the truth is because this site "nairaland'' is populated by a certain demographic of 'youthful’ Nigerians who have very limited and (i am afraid) rather crude outlook to life. Logic and reason are not very common themes down here. Most are youths out of school seeking jobs, you wouldn’t find sound wisdom here, just the really rough and raw bunch.

There is even a more dire case of this 'food theft syndrome" (FTS) in the corporate world. I am talking fortune 500 status multinational companies here in Nigeria. These guys drive in the latest SUVS using high tech smart gadgets and all, but still get tragically obsessed with packing out remnants of meeting meals.

I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME UNDERSTAND THIS FCKN DISEASE!!! Is it greed or what?

These guys all earn six digit monthly salaries but always feel compelled to hang around the corridor, lurking and checking to see if the management meeting has ended so that they can briskly grasp onto the unwrapped moin-moin, rice, sweets , slap them all in a bag and take home.

Perhaps it is the corruption gene in its infancy? What say you?
Please read the op's initial post and decide whether it is in tandem with what you typed.

Op was clearly referring to those that paid for a flight and came out with their flight meal, snacks or what have you NOT "meal lobbyist" hanging around the corridor to eat management's leftovers and not what they paid for!

Be slow to respond, read to understand first and try to be objective when responding

And for those you seemingly seem to be tagging uncultured, when you are able to define culture well, perhaps I would be able to see things from your perspective

Did you say corruption gene based on your observation?

Methink it is the organiser or those in charge of such managerial meetings that are not prudent a enough or know how to plan. It shouldn't be the first management meeting and they ought to know how many people are in the meeting or may attend, those that are not prone to eat much and those managers that may request more. It all about statistics and budgeting so that

such wastage wouldn't arise that would warrant your perceived "uncultured" one roaming about like voracious wolves!!!

Please read and comprehend before commenting !!

CareerRe: Help Union Bank Unjustly Terminated My Appointment! by DICKtator: 4:01pm On Jun 27, 2015
epistlegcfr:
Dear Nairalanders,

It is with a heavy heart full of worries and grief I write this. Posting this wasn’t my idea till an active nairalander who happened to be my friend suggested I explain my plight to well meaning Nigerians on how to go about seeking redress or what next to do with my shattered life because right now, I am so sad, bewildered, conked out and sorrowful. Today, I have contemplated suicide but I am not the kinda person that gives up so easily so I am willing to fight this through even with the last drop of my blood.

Till Friday 26th of June, 2015, I work for the above named bank in Nigeria. I joined them last year, went to training school and consequently became a full staff. I was confirmed specifically in the first quarter of this year as a full staff. Prior to confirmation, I have never fallen below 95percent. As a matter of fact because of my experience and wits, I was made the branch manager of the branch where I was posted immediately after training school. Since then, I have been undertaking series of professional examination related to my job ranging from ICAN to CIBN and I have always been scoring above 95percent as regards HR appraisal since I joined the bank.

However, I got to work today, logged into the system like I do every other day only to see the greatest shocker of my life. I was surprisingly denied access and consequently instructed to call the IT control department. My initial guess was that I have possibly been transferred to another branch. The IT department said I should contact the HR that I have been suspended.

I started sweating profusely inspite of the cabinet AC directly opposite my desk but I never had a clue till I got an email from HR almost immediately saying my appointment has been terminated. For crying out loud I had 95percent in HR appraisal just last month, I have just been confirmed in May, what have I done wrong? Where do I start from here? What do I do? Series of thoughts started flowing into my mind in thousands I started feeling feverish immediately. I am so blank right now. I need advice, I feel demoralized, dejected, rejected, and I feel so cheated.

I have very cool relationship with my bosses and i cant think of stepping on anyone's toe at the moment. This sudden occurence has defied all reasonable logic and i dont know what else to thing about......I will hang on as i await your replies. Thank you alot.

From Suspension to termination?
In such an organization?
I expect you to do an internal private investigation first since you claimed you were a bank manager before
Use that influence to garner information on what may have led to your suspension and termination WITHOUT DUE NOTICE!!!
This sounds too fishy and cannot be ignored. You must find out the reason for this. Garner that info from your colleagues unless nobody liked you when you were in charge.
Find out from your bank manager friends what happened.
Are you really sure you were a bank manager? You typed in a naive manner
A bank manager is more shrewd and tactical than what you typed.
You should have a friend at HR ,even one of the HR female you are phuccking steadily. Garner information from her!!!

Come back when you have sought out the information!!

Nairaland GeneralRe: Photos Of ADOLPH HITLER As A Child And His Mother by DICKtator:
Antoinne:
@bolded. You would mean "Austria" there or "Czechoslovakia". By the time he invaded Poland, the war was already in full swing.

Today, there are still monuments dedicated to Stalin and to Mao. These men have not got what I'd truly deserving of their genocidal legacy. Hitler, on the other hand, has suffered more than appropriately. Mention one monument to Hitler in modern Germany; i bet you won't find any. Truth is, history is not fair and unrightly so. But it helps to see where things are being subtly adjusted to favor a set of people. Clearly, world opinion today hasn't dealt equally with many leaders who have been just as despotic as Hitler was.
Lmao!!!

You still don't get it!!!

The idea behind monuments for these despots( Stalin and Mao Zedong cos you're stuck on both) is based on their laudable achievement in their various countries at that time devoid of belligerent external policies!. The Germans were defeated by the Soviets (why they were given East Germany after the war!)during the war under Stalin's leadership and he carried out genuine reforms during his regime. (NOTE that USSR and China were both Socialist and Communist states during their reign!).Note that Stalin's monuments in his hometown of Georgia has been pulled down!!!. Please kindly post any Stalin monumnets that you know of.
Mao Zedong is a nationalist, he fought against the Japanese to liberate China from their control!. He is still partly honoured in China probably because of this and other reforms he undertook AND because China is still "party- Communist" (or should i state totalitarian? )in nature!!.
I insist Hitler's policies were very unpopular even among Germans and what do you mean by monuments for Hitler? Do you recognise that that may be against the law?
Isn't the same Hitler not honoured among skinheads and other race-hate groups? Isn't the swastika still used by some people?
What other honour are you talking about?

Hitler leveraged on the economic downturn in Germany to seize power and instead of improving the Germans lives, who were all eager for genuine change, he used fake propaganda to entice the people based on his oratory skills, even faked an assassination attempt on his life to appear invincible and god-like and kill his opponents and blame the jews for Germany's problems

Or perhaps I should explain it this way, Stalin and Zedong killed their children (subtling condemned and killed their children)-- INTERNAL AGGRESSION ON HIS CHILDREN
While Hitler did not blame his children but was punishing and killing other people's children, even entering other people's country to kill the same children and causing needless war and untold hardship to his children all because he wanted to restore a so-called German pride--EXTERNAL AGGRESSION ON OTHER PEOPLE'S CHILDREN

THAT WAS AN ANALOGY

Note that Mussolini is also widely perceived a persona non grata in Italy

And thanks for the correction, it wasn't Poland

Nairaland GeneralRe: Photos Of ADOLPH HITLER As A Child And His Mother by DICKtator: 1:46am On Jun 26, 2015
Antoinne:
Do you even know what you are talking about? I'd give you a lesson in history if you want one. Clearly you don't question the knowledge you get fed and simply swallow everything hook, line and sinker.
What do you mean Hitler attacked "people that were not from his country"? What sort of reasoning is that? Is that all why you consider him a despot? Not because he slaughtered Jews in their millions? So, if someone committed atrocities against his own people like Stalin, that makes it justified? You need a check on your reasoning.

All i put forward is that, history has made one despot appear more evil than the others. Hitler in this case the victim. Of course, what he did is inexcusable. However, it's no different from what Stalin or Mao did and they should all get equal treatment from historians. Yet, Mao is still in hero in modern China. So is Genghis Khan in southern and eastern Asia, even with his history of genocidal terror well documented.
!
Clearly you don't know the first thing about history. If you knew, you'd understand that it's not all in the eyes of the beholder.
I insist, one of the subtle rationale for labelling Hitler infamous was his deposition towards foreigners especially the Jews. When he annexed Poland, all the west and other world powers did not really bat an eyelid,it was when the "superiority complex" came into being and accusation against the Jews for Germany's woe did the West and other world powers took him seriously.

Do not misquote me, I never said what Stalin,Mao Zedong,Pol pot,Rwanda Hutus or whatever they did was justifiable. What I said was that Hitler's atrocities were horrendous because:
1. It was an unprovoked race issue. When someone doesn't want you around and claims his race is superior over others, that is dementia and delusion of the grandeur!!!.
In cases like that, neighbouring countries would get apprehensive on such ridiculous excuse
2. Hitler is not the first person to mistreat the jews. Jews have faced a lot of persecutions before Hitler from the Dreyfuss accusations to some countries telling Jews to leave their land. This was what was expected of Hitler instead of carrying out a well thought out annihilation of a race, creating gas chambers in concentration camps and using them for inhumane experiments!!.
Please I hate typing much but you really want to put me on the spot and want me to break my modus operandus on this forum so imma stop here

Genghis Khan? You gotta be kidding me!!
What century are you talking of? When men were savages ,barbarians and survival of the fittest was the norm then?

Mao Zedong a hero? Perhaps I need to dust my history book as regards this or check Google and ascertain this. But Chinese I've met detest this man for the atrocities he committed like you typed

What makes you think Stalin doesn't get close to the same treatment as his ilks? He was an Ally during the 2nd world war so certain "good" can be attributed to him but he has been discarded in the dustbin the evils' history because of his post war attitude. What happened to Stalingard? Wasn't the name changed? Research on what happened to his corpse!!!

I never typed all of history is in the eyes of a beholder. Historians always have different perspectives of course!!. That why some historians would tell you the 1st world war wasn't a world war hence the name great war while the 2nd was the 1st!!

Some American historians even believe that America won the Vietnam war!!!

It really is just about the flourishing myth around this guy than it is about what he actually did. Hitler was no less a despicable leader than many other leaders of the 20th century; Mao, Ataturk and Stalin were all to varying degrees genocidal despots. Hitler was just unfortunate to have made one of the world's most powerful races his victims. And it's just so followed that they, with their huge media empire, have made him into the world's biggest scapegoat.

Don't be ignorant, he isn't a devil.
You are here again spewing trash and trying to sound intellectual!!.

Get your facts right

Hitler(even though he was an Austrian) attacked people that were not from his country Germany while the others you listed inflicted /committed atrocities against their own people(Stalin was from Georgia, which was part of USSR then!).
