oyatz: Bros ,do you agree that you don't know much about the oil industry sir?
Where precisely in Lagos are crude oil exported sir?
You have been talking about so many things you have little knowledge about. Oil is not exported in lagos.. That was a typographical error from my own end. How can someone that studied petroleum engineering and had been to the field be ignorant of what he is saying... I should be the one asking you how Innoson and Bua system of business relate to Chevron.... How many oil and gas firms are in lagos when their field of operations are in Bayelsa, Akwa ibom, Imo, Edo and even Delta state.. Even majority of BUA's workforce is at Okpella in Edo. |

oyatz: I won't say it because I don't like to offend people especially on social media. The field I made reference to Oil and Gas which is under the extractive industry. Chevron is a private company but when you are into extractive, you don't sight your office and residential area outside you field of study.. Its only the hopeless Nigeria constitution that is empowering all this.. You know how many operators of marginal field are in lagos when their OML location are far away from their operational basis..even the export of the crudes are done via Lagos. A lot of indirect development, that is suppose to have come to d states through local contents, investment, housing and technology is concentrated in a particular place because of bad government policy. |

oyatz: This Bros is funny die!
Is Shell Office ONLY in Owerri?
Shell is at liberty to open offices in ANY State.
Please qoute the sections of the Constitution and Oil &Gas Act that mention where a private company should site their offices? When Shell explored oil the first time in the eastern region then, the place they sighted all their facilities was in Owerri which was incidentally one of the first place they explore for oil..it would interest you to know that iho which was one of the earliest areas oil and gas exploration was in imo state..they did not discover oil in commercial quantity then. Shell some years back sold off there assets in Warri to marginal company and those companies sight their bases in lagos. These kind of thing can only happen in Nigeria. Shell has office in lagos, but the bulk of there asset which house the residential and industrial layout is in Port Harcourt. Same as Total and Exxon Mobil, and the servicing giants Halliburton and Schlumberger I have asked you questions that relates with the oil and gas acts and the constitution. which you certainly don't. If those assets where under the control of the state, do you think most of these oil and gas firms will have their bases far away from state or region where their assets are. Why do you think NPDC was sighted in Benin Edo state, If not for the fact that most of her assets are within Edo/Delta axis, though some assets are in imo Let me explain few part of the oil and gas acts, cause I not legal studies though these relates to me.. It empowers the federal govt to give lease such as oil prospecting and mining lease to company of interest, it empowers the same government to give determine the nature of business whether joint venture or production service contract. it automatic makes the government the owner any oil and gas discovered in your backyard. |

oyatz: I can't just stop laughing at what you just wrote.
Oil companies , Automobile or Cement manufacturing Companies unlike Public Corporation are all private companies and have the same liberty to set up their estates or offices anywhere.
The Government can NOT dictate to companies how and where they should set up their offices.
Suppose a 'Law' is promulgated that all oil companies should set up their head offices not more than 1 Kilometer away from their area of operation, what will now open to Chevron that have their oil rigs off shore, 60km away from the nearest Village on Nigerian soil?
What will happen if the company have oil fields in 5 States?
What if an oil company move from Ondo State to another State following discovery of oil there, say Anambra State or Borno State?
What if a company just rent a 3 bedroom flat in Yenegoa and designate it 'Head Office' to fulfill all righteousness but the bulk of their Staff are coordinated from a 20 floor skyscraper in Awka, Anambra? So why was Shell facility located in Owerri then.....which incidentally was one of the places that shell explored for oil... You are not dealing with a normal nairaland stroll..I have told u to check d oil and gas acts and constitution |

oyatz: Chevron is a private and NOT a Government company, they can build anything they like anywhere.
Why do Innoson built a factory in Nnewi when they import most of their vehicle parts through Apapa ports? Why do BUA cement have their mines in Okpella, Edo State and have offices in Kano and Lagos?
Who controls and consent the oil and gas license to Chevron..who decides the OPL and OML....
Is Innosun the same with Oil and Gas firms or don't you know about Oil and Gas acts. What is the Port Harcourt port used for.. Bua on is as a result of failed system..in a sane society, will Bua keep her head office far way from the site of production.. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Biden Formally Clinches Democratic Presidential Nomination by Dikebuka: 8:04am On Jun 06, 2020 |
The media is trying to fight Trump. It has become sad that even when Trump joked about drinking hand sanitizer, it was topic of the day. When Trump talked about opening of the church and how he would force the governor, it was topic of the day. When Covic19 came, it was as if Trump was the cause.
Hearing about George Floyd's death, you would feel that the Trump was the one that ordered the police, when in actually senses all the legislative and executive powers came from the state which incidentally was a democrat state.
The same people cut some crucial minutes of the Trump tribute to George Floyd over copyright issue, only to leave the part he talked about dominate and involvement of military presence.
Summary: Trump is a media man. He understand and knows when to use the media to advance his course. I won't be shocked if he takes the front seat on Floyd's burial day next week.
I still doubt whether he would be defeated in the polls |

Foreign Affairs › Re: George Floyd Protests: Trump Deploys US Military In Washington by Dikebuka: 8:49am On Jun 02, 2020 |
uunwanaobong3: As for the protest in America is good oooooo,. BUT it is a good protest at a very wrong time. Here are my reasons;
1) over thousand and millions of people have gather in America and other parts of the world to protest,,,, have we even realize that this is a pandemic period that we should be isolating.......... Because of Floyd's death, I can see more than 500,000 covid infection and more than50,000 people dying due to Corona virus infection within the crowd..... Democrat and CNN will not talk about this repercussion, they want to blame everything on Trump. U wouldn't see the WHO coming out to warn the people about the dangers of large gathering and protesting world wide at this dangerous times of covid19 ............................. Also i feel that state governors in USA and other world leaders like in Canada, Britain etc purposely exposed their people to contact more covid infection and death, by standby and watch while the people gather in large number. Whatever evil intension those leaders have, right it is only God that can serve those mass protesters....... This action alone can bring about second wave of the virus which will be fatal
2) the world is under great economics depression and in America alone there are 50million job losses, ... The protesters who are vandalising and burning down businesses all in the name of protest and are being encouraged by CNN and Democrat governors, have they realize that this rascal behavior will lead to more recession and job lose for innocent citizen........ I know they want to blame everything on Trump.
3) the whole thing has turned political through CNN and action of Democrat governors. First, it was about impeachment of trump, they failed.
Then come Corona virus, .....instead of the press to tackle china and WHO for the spread of Corona virus in the world, the press world wide were tackling Trump as if Trump is the president of the world and as if Trump was the one that brought the virus to the world...... In Democrat state like new York, governors freely allow the people to get infected, so as to blame Trump for the numbers of the dead, the media we're insulting the president up and down with stupid questions during presidential press briefing....,.over 100,000 Americans have died mostly in Democrat state.. again they have failed because U.S have done x10 more tests than any country, more ventilator and PPE than any country........ CNN have realized that people are no longer buying the lying stories about Trump, so if you observed, they no longer report on covid stories gain, they have now shifted their attention to racism....
thank God Trump has taken U.S out of WHO. Let me see how China will fund WHO.
What police did was wrong, and the policemen were duly sacked, arrested and charged with murder, ..... But the press and CNN chooses to feed on the story, encouraging voilent protest and destruction of public/private properties.... The Democrat state governors and states police chooses to standby and watch public properties going up in flame without taking any action to stop the vandalism....... And when Trump condemned their weakness and conspiracy, they begin to criticized him...... To an extent that CNN decide to send a black reporter on a Frontline between police and riot protesters, when the reporter was arrested for endangering his own security (he could be hit by stray bullet bottle, stone, fireworks etc) they changed the narrative to racism.
Finally Trump is not perfect oooooo, infact he can't talk as a president, he is so unpolished in his act, but believe me Democrat, press and other world leaders are trying to destroy Mr Trump, using the poor masses as collateral damages.
If there is one thing I know, Trump really care for Americans but doesn't give a shit about outside world,... Americans should indeed appreciate their president because he loves them.
Trump is the most insulted president in the world, even a small boy like mark Zuckerberg, get the guts (mind) to remove a presidential address to the nation on Tweeter......... That is the highest level of disrespect to the office of the president of United States of America.............. If I were Trump Zuckerberg would have paid heavily for every bit of that disrespect.... Zuckerberg would have stayed alive and watch helplessly as his billions becomes thousands.
Even a Chinese jornalist get mine to ask Trump a very stupid question about trump Corona virus competition, ..... a question that even she dare not ask Chinese president xie.
It was so disgusting to watch a police inspector yesterday on CNN telling a whole US president (Mr Trump) that if he does not have anything to say "HE SHOULD SHUT UP"... simply because Trump criticized them for allowing vandalism to take place.......... ..I am not sure any president in the world would have taken this lightly from a public official.....he wasn't even warn by CNN to at least respect office that Trump occupied.
CNN has loose all credibility, they have shown that they are media wing of Democrat party by reporting loop sided stories. E.g when the protesters were disperse at White House so that Trump could have access to the vandalized St John's Church... the media says that the protesters were peaceful, but the question is if the protesters were peaceful, why was that church vandalized in the first place........... there is a lot of cover up in the media so as to carried out their evil intension of misinforming the world.
Honestly I must commend the endurance of Mr Trump, u really try to endure them
Black community should be very careful in this crises, they start on a positive note ..... But when the going get bad and urgly, they (black) will be blamed for everything that happened. Nobody will mention the white, Chinese, Hispanics or other ethnic groups What do you expect from a propaganda media house. Even Channelstv Some people dont know that Trump had called the family of George Floyd. Minneapolis has it's own judiciary and police. People are protesting yes, but others are using it to set tone for Anarchy and the governors who have d powers don't want to safeguard properties and lives, due to emotional sentiment |

Were all the ethnic groups consulted and they gave their approval for inclusion in Eastern Region?
ALL parts of Nigeria have been in existence and interracted with their neighbours for centuries before the Advent of British Colonial rule. They were not consulted..the wia conquered territory but the core difference between eastern region But before then the conquest their boundaries, ethnic composition per land and laws per ethnic group were there.. It was called Eastern region because it was a conquered land. Infact it was the British that brought the marginalization into the region |

oyatz: This post didn't answer my question sir.
Were Ngwa, Etche, Nri, Ogoni, Bende, Ikwerres, Ekpeyes, Ogojo, Ibiobio, Oron and Efik consulted and their approval gotten before the British Colonial Government created the Eastern Region in 1950?
Eastern Region was created by British imposition in 1950 just like Nigeria was created by British imposition in 1914.
Both were not organic or indigenous political entities. Let me explain something Before Britain, the various ethnic group were coexisting..though not in a perfect form we were existing already.. Just like I told u earlier Nri was a spiritual place that most people went on pilgrimage.. Infact the Eze Nri was never seen Igbos in Ahaba,Aboh, Iselle-ukwu was influence by the Oba of Benin and though they wia independent of his Dominion. Igbos wia already in contact with Ijaw...if you recall King Jaja of Opobo...infact Jaja was never seen as a domineering igbo and he was one of the strong resistance the east hard toward British incursion. Now igbos in Anambra, Imo, Abia down south hard wah they call chiefdoms not kingdom..it was the whiteman dt brought warrant chief. The Aba women riot was Igbo, Efik and Ibibio women dt ended the taxation stuff to show dt they have been existing even before the whiteman came. Now Aro-confederacy was the order of the day den..they was no true king for the places that had dt Confederacy. Kalahari have been in contact with the igbos..from the slave trade era. Now even before the establishment of the eastern region, they have been dia. One thing again I will say is this the British came in through the ports but faced stiff resistance to conquer the region They retired most of the sophisticated merchants in the riverine area.. Fought the war with the confederate states won yet could not get for grip... Had to force the Eze Nri out and tell.him to denounce his title.. Brought warrant chief and even militarization of the region |

Were the Ngwa, Ogoni, Efik, Nri, AroChukwus, Etche, Ibiobio consulted by the British Colonial Government if they will like to be in the same 'Eastern Region'? Igbos where abit different in their approach then. Igbos in the west( igbanke and delta) had reverence to the Oba but not loyal or subservient they had kings Igbos in the north: (Reverence to d Eze Nri as king and priest) avatar Igbos from anambra, imo, abia wia made of chiefdoms who wia in a Confederacy with Ibibio,Efik and other ethnic group within d region |

However, let's assume that there are 3 wards within Edo State inhabited by Igbo clans (Igbankes) and they vote for Biafra but their surrounding neighbours will not partake in the referendum or if they do but vote against Biafra, will this Igbanke now exist as Biafran territory within Edo Kingdom/Niger-Delta Republic? The will have to choose where the want to belong to..nobody will force them..but I doubt any igbo tribe or igboid tribe will want to remain in these current Nigeria.. Even with Nnamdi Kanu's type of confederation, I doubt any tribe will even consider d Nigeria Even people that call themselves Anioma self. |
