There you've a woman with a domineering attitude. . . This is just one among its numerous signs. And one funny but irritating thing about domineering people is that they're always both selffish and hypocritical.

If you're a conscientious proponent and practitioner, kindly leave her with alacrity. However, if you're the unconscientious type like her, then you too suits each other.

Politics / Re: Buhari's Greatest Mistake Is The Appointment Of Ishaq Oloyede As JAMB Registrar by Diplomaticbeing(m): 4:54pm On Apr 04, 2017
I know that attaining a height of PhD at best makes the holder to formally know above average in his field of studies - and in most cases, the holder might just be at par with a stark illiterate, cognitively, outside his field of studies. However, it's an insult on your part towards whatever Islamic Studies in particular and anyone that studied the course in general stand for, to vilify the course - yes, the connotation in your repeated mentions of it in your angst against the "assumed" non performing JAMB registrar doesn't speak well of you.

Neither PMB nor Islamic Studies deserved castigation for the assumed non performance of the JAMB registrar. PMB can only be castigated if he fails to take action - like sacking the man - if it's established afterwards that throughly the man didn't live up to expectations of sane and sound people of the country.

Have you laid complaint to the appropriate quarters? Let's always embrace decorum in all our actions, irrespective of whose ox is gored.

IPOD proponents are idiots. The same thing they are fighting for against the Nigerian state of today is exactly the same attitude they are exhibiting and wishing to mete out against the other assumed minorities. Domineeringness is a vice - an evil.

When you disingenuously or selflessly allowed the IPOD and its distinct predecessors to practice their shenanigans around you, they revel and erroneously arrogate smartness to themselves, but once you simply resist them or insist on equality, you see them pose for war. Then, overpower them with your might and see them cry murder.

IPODIAN's don't pick on me, because you can never win. By the way, I'm a bona fide Igbo man. #ISTANDFORANINDISSOLUBLENIGERIA

I'm looking forward to a Nigeria where equality and equity shall be the norm in thought and practice. I say no to nepotism, impunity, domineeringness, conceit and deceit.

I only agree with you because the system of government we've in place so far literally is tribercracy. However, in a true democratic system of government, and with the noble rather than servile disposition of the senate leadership towards the executive arm of the government, I'd bet with my life that it's 100 percent possible to impeach him.

His stated attitude is a characteristic of an extreme possessive person - don't mistake it for care. And that's a sign of a control freak. One thing with people who loves to control others/deny others their freewill is that they're always selfish. Selfishness on its own is really a very bad vice and one who possess it do automatically possesses other vices like prejudice, perfidiousness, opportunism etc.

It's unfortunate that you as a person is yet to achieve self-realization. . . Citing your submissions herein.

Well, two people of different ethical philosophies can never find enduring happiness in each other's arms. When they mistakenly marry, at best they can only tolerate each other but they can never find the catalyst that will make them to celebrate each other. Love will always eluded them.

Last year I told my friends that it will be easier todestroy Tinibu than Sarraki they said it is a lie . Tinibu has little or no loyalty from the north they are all his admirers. coming to south west you may say he loyalty but it is more like servant-master relationship once these guys see a better political solutions to their various interests they will dump Tinibu .
Today we all know that fashola, fayemi, Amosun, Oyegun etcetera do not have total loyalty to Tinibu again.
On the other hand sarraki have friends all over the country
erst governors from pdp , senators and individuals who have in one way or the other benefited from corruption in this country will stand by sarraki any time any day

My sentiment exactly. Actually, word's failed the OP. He can only be correct if he replaced the word influential with popular.

kunle4toyeyaho:
Believe it or not,Saraki's influence does not go beyond N.Assembly and North Central. He became a friend to SE and SS recently due to his over ambition. Directly or Indirectly,Tinubu has more 'boys' in presidency than saraki, in saraki's NC zone,i doubt whether he has more influence than Tinubu in Benue and Nasarawa. In NE zone, saraki can be more influencial than Tinubu im Gombe and Taraba,In SW ,saraki can only garner support in ondo state (his mother's state of origin) ,while Tinubu has other 5 SWstates. Saraki's type of politics is more of schiming and seizing goverent apparatus for self aggradisement. He may not go beyond senate presidency if he continues this way.As per influence,I will say Tinubu because he appears closer to Buhari and stands better chance of inheriting the latter's CPC political structure

So long as change remains the only constant thing in life, then a more informed between two people in any form of contest, at any point in time, would always be more valuable (influential) than another who's experienced but not most informed.

Once more, I say that respect is superior to admiration. Technically, at present, Saraki command's more respect than Tinubu. . . This by extension, make's him more influential and powerful than Tinubu. But subjectively, especially to core Tinubu's admires in particular and notionally (don't mistake my usage of notionally for nationally) in general - citing his media popularity, my submission is contestable, this I understand.

Outrightly, if you're talking about who's more popular and admirable, then Tinubu will carry the day. But always remember that the masses will always have a soft spot for the gentle but in the end they will still follow the powerful.

In summary, influence is superior to popularity just as respect is superior to admiration. Maybe, you can change your subject word to popular.

You amuse me greatly. I say to you that Saraki is both more influential and powerful than Tinubu is, at present.

I even digressed from using his state base clout to justify my point and instead went nationally on it, yet you didn't seem to grasp it.

Well for your kind information, for every vice president, minister, senator etc Tinubu had helped made, there are equally visible and invisible numbers of governors, senators, ministers and commissioners that Saraki has made too.

My unbiased position notwithstanding, I still admire the enigma Tinubu. It takes a witty and altruistic proponent to attain his status.

Foremost, note that there's a difference between admiration and respect. While Tinubu commands the former from his numerous proteges and followers, Saraki on the other hand enjoy the latter from more than half of the 109 senators at NASS. Respect is superior to admiration.

What Saraki has is associates while Tinubu mostly has proteges. Proteges are always servile to their masters not out of choice but because of what they gain from him, and they are always an easy sell out too when the chips are down. Sagacious men never build their war defense with proteges, because serviles never make good loyalists. In the game of power 1 plus 1 is never 2.

You can only be certain of whom your true loyalists are when you are in equal position and status with them and yet you still commands their respect and followership.

A case study is Fashola, while he had no self-clout, he was to Tinubu what a slave is to his master. . . Only people like me knew that Tinubu had a frenemy in him then. Just as he (Tinubu) has as frenemies more than half of the proteges and followers around him at present. Forget about the seeming nice persona's you do see within their cliques.

Meanwhile, when you have your equals as your loyalists, my brother you can go to sleep with your two eyes closed at that moment. The senators in their individual capacities command the followership and respect of majority of their zonal subjects, and this is how Saraki is technically more powerful than Tinubu. Team work.

Notionally, Tinubu is more powerful but realistically, Saraki is more powerful. Technically, Tinubu is more popular while Saraki is more influential. Well, since influence is superior to popularity, therefore Sarak has an upper hand.
Politics / Re: Saraki Is A Threat To APC, Democracy - Adamawa Lawmaker, Alhassan Urmar by Diplomaticbeing(m): 1:08pm On Apr 01, 2017
Personally and on principle, I support Saraki and his comrades. In him I see a man of noble mien - politically - and that's exactly the kind of leader our nascent democracy need at the senate at this juncture. Also, he's quite witty.

A NASS that's servile to the executive arm of the government will not do the masses any good. So, my earnest wish is for the leaders of these two arms of government in particular and all the other arms in general to embrace principle over expediency in all their dealings with each other, for the betterment of all and sundry in the country.

Perfidiousness is one of the major banes of our retrogression as a nation. A people that mistakes perfidiousness for cleverness can never experience true prosperity.

There's an urgent need for a change in our ethical leanings, my people. Ours is a fundamental problem, anyway, the good thing is that its malleable. . . If only at least 10 percent of the nation's citizens can embrace this change, for a start, then we can be certain of leaving a sane and sound environment for the next generation.

The most obvious difference between a successful person/nation and a retrogressive person/nation is firstly found in their contrary ideologies, perspectives and principles.

@OP

You ought to be rejoicing. I mean, if she find's it convenient to do without you after a two weeks separation-quarrel, it simply means that you were just an option to her all the while - she was just managing you. Come on, important people don't go to places where they are tolerated instead you can only find them at places where they are celebrated.

Kindly work on yourself and become an important personality. . . If you aren't one yet. However, blame will be on her if she left you because of her own vices like greed, covetousness, or a natural disability you have which was OK for her prior to the quarrel.

Meanwhile, when you become an important personality, always endeavour to pally with a woman who has achieved self-realization, one whom you are certain of her loyalty towards you - of course, loyalty is like a two-way traffic lights, so you must be sure of your own loyalty towards her too. A self-realized woman of this caliber will always act self-willedly and conscientiously, which means that you can always count on her to be for and with you both in better and worse situations.

A woman (person) who's loyal to you today but hasn't achieved self-realization would quickly leave you tomorrow for no ill cause of your own, but for the simple fact that upon achieving self-realization she discovered that you aren't really her type/what she want. If a once loyal person can do this, then you shouldn't expect something better from a possible long-time frenemy.

@OP and your ilks, there's nothing good to brag about stinginess in particular and poverty in general. . . Although, despite your obvious stingy attitude and poverty, and possible lack of good choice of words, I still understand what you were trying to say.

Well, there's actually no evil in a man that spends heavily on his girlfriend, as long as he does so both altruistically and conscientiously. It can only be foolishness if he spends based on impulse, or as a result of his gullibility or stupidity. Even if one spent a multi million naira on a girlfriend based on the former terms, in the event that both parties path ways, one will never feel used/exploited. But on the latter terms, even if it's just ten naira one spent on her, he will still feel used by her when both path ways.

Meanwhile, a sensible person pallies with a sensible people too, while a foolish/in this case, a too clever by half person pallies with a too clever by half person(s) too - vice versa.

@OP

I don't envy your intellect. Actually, "skill" can be mental or physical." Therefore, everyone - especially the unemployed or underemployed graduates - doesn't necessarily need to embrace physical (manual) skills to be counted.

People should always endeavour to acquire knowledge/skill in something valuable - be it mental or manual subject to one's inclination. I've never seen a person with knowledge (understanding) that's perpetually financially poor. However, I've seen a whole lot of people that "know" almost everything but understand nothing and of course they are always in perpetual financial poverty. The latter ones are the articulate incompetents.

Understanding is superior to knowing (knowingness).

In summary, if you're reading this piece and you're financially poor but still claims educated, I stand bold to say that you only know what you were educated on but you don't understand the same thing you were educated on.

@OP

I don't envy you at all. Citing your submissions, it's obvious that you know what education is, but unfortunately you don't understand what the same education means.

Well, for your information, some people are so unorthodox in nature that they lack the perseverance and obedience it takes to acquire formal tertiary education or come out with good grades when they have the slightest of patience to enrol into one. Therefore, it's a taboo to quantify someone's level of intelligence based on her formal academic possessions.

Some of the best/resourceful brains I have been fortunate to associate with in the cause of my journey in life are mostly informally educated folks.

Take for instance, someone like Dino, without holding brief for him, I stand bold to say that he's one among the five most resourceful members in the current senate. This is despite his class of degree.

Formal tertiary education at best can help one that acquired it "thoroughly" to be brilliant. And by extension, it helps to gloss people's ignorance. Intelligence is mostly self-developed through self and continuous education. . . And the education here is always informal.

Intelligence is superior to brilliance. . . All intelligent people are brilliant but not all brilliant people are intelligent. In the same vein, understanding is superior to knowing (knowingness). Just as knowledge is superior to information.

It'll only take someone like you that only feel comfortable and fulfilled in a place where he adds values in equal or more proportion than he gains, to understand why you took those decisions.

The actual/ineffable explanatory cause of such action is that you've an entrepreneur/generalist spirit rather than an administrative/specialist spirit.
