So 2 years ago I got the Gionee m3mini because of it's super affordable price. Got it at about 16k only.

But after a few weeks I realized some bad sides like:
1. On the stock rom the device can lag for Africa. You phone would ring for over 5 seconds before it shows who is calling.

2. Multitasking sucks, you can't switch between OperaMini and Whatsapp and expect OperaMini to stay active in the background.
3. This phone response time is soo laggy/slow that you can't play "piano tile" (one of most successful android games from 2015) on it.

These two downsides could be as a result of 1GB RAM, 1.0ghz processor and android 5.1 on the device.
Gionee's custom UI (amigo) might have its own contributions to the lagging too.

Overall m3mini is feature rich, has good battery life and looks like on iPhone, people could easily mistake the white variant for an iPhone.

Y'all can't expect a 1GB Ram phone to function like a 3GB phone. You're the first to complain of a lagging issue though.

First to speak doesn't mean many people are not suffering in silence. Take infinix Zero for example, it was released long before c8 and sold at a more affordable rate. It had 2gb RAM.
Why will tecno release the flagship of their camera series with 1GB ram in 2015? Remember tecno compared the c8 to iPhone 6. While the plain truth is c8 is just a laggy torchlight with good camera.

Let's face the fact it's definitely not because of these reasons:

1. They want to add salt and pepper to the wounds of participants(investors)

2. They are jealous of how much traffic MMM generated / popularity of MMM

3. Nigerians celebrate the downfall of other Nigerians

4. The list goes on...


It is very obvious and without sentiment you will see clearly that nairaland push MMM news to:

1. Educate the public about the cons (danger/disadvantages) of MMM. The promoters of MMM will usually tell you only the sweet part since they stand to gain bonuses if they are able to convince you to join.

2. Number 1 alone is reason enough. But I can back it up with this extra point. NL has ban on sports betting, forex trading and some other schemes which the CEO feels misinformed nairalanders might loose money to in a bid to make money online. Nairalanders can face the same thing by venturing into ponzi schemes.

That's the much I can say now. Pro MMMers it's a free world and let's allow NL to share information freely too. Thank you

Even NL moving MMM threads to front page is to make sure Nigerians all well informed about the bitter side of ponzi. To me that is great love.

Anyways, you should know lagging issues on phones generally is a function of how much free memory RAM you have left on your phone . Probably what you need is Camon C9+ phantom 6 both with 3GB, not this 1GB

If torchlight phones had 3gb RAM and some other stuffs they will be badass too.

Tecno didn't try for the market by making c8 with 1GB ram. You have a good camera on a phone that lags so much it will make u cry. That's disappointing.

Setting topic ID column as unique could save nl from such embarrassment. And even make promoting/updating a topic that is already on fp easier (e.g live football scores). I hope seun will consider that in the future.

Their phone lagging won't allow them to post self.

That device is just a torchlight phone with camera. And maybe running Android os (that lags like crazy).
