I also bought something similar just this Friday at abayomi iwo road in ibadan and it’s Turkish door made by Anotec . I got it for 160k. How come this prices are way ridiculous or are you online vendors ripping people off ?

Blocks should be least of worries in a building this size. Even if it is additional 1000 blocks (#250k), that is relatively not much compared to other materials involved.

I know what I’m saying brother a bungalow of my size which is similar or bigger than that over 5000 blocks was used now multiply by 330# that’s a lot already . Then iron of 1.5 tones it’s no joke. The main aspect of this build if he’s going to do it solid

That build is very huge and believe me when you said you’re just a freelance book designer I felt I should advise.

To be honest I’m currently on such type of build I think I’m 80% ready . And I can tell you many water don pass under bridge . And at some point I felt trapped and no way out but I’m thankful that I live in a simple that I don’t have to rush about this one .

Well I got ideas and architect interpreted it well and it had every feature of a dream home . In 3D it was so fine I always looked at it and I never knew in reality it will be that complex and require a lot of financial base . I could have got stuck cause prices of materials are not fair and you may think you are prepared but believe me Nigerian market will surprise you .

So I will advise you from experience that why don’t you have a simple modest one first since the lad is huge .I can see two buildings there do the back one first then calmly you can start the bigger dream home without pressure and stress . Shalom .

I watch this boys climbing roofs and supplying concrete to their boss . Please 4500 is not even worth the effort they contribute in construction if we are being fair ! This boys working in sun and rain and we chill in ACs. It always break my heart . Nigeria is unfair to us ! The labors in ibadan take 2500 now imagine what 2500 can carter for !

When we start paying per hour that is when we will know why the youth are no more interested in apprenticeship or artisan works . We know why people have suddenly realize it’s a modern slavery !

When you get to the market tell them to sell you “ajah” for your PVC . It’s usually around 18-21k per bundle and you can tell the difference from those 7-8k per bundle that they’re like paper in the hands . Those are the ones that fall off easily . The ajah ones are very thick . Atleast it’s called ajah in ibadan from the ibo boys at abayomi iwo road and I think it’s the same name they call it in Lagos too . Stay bless

My heart goes out to kebbi . Remembering my MySC days plying zuru to wasagu road . How can I forget kanya. I remembered visiting a girl there at the girls school kanya and was to come back to the west the next day . I was waiting for taxi since 6pm till 9pm around that kanya market .
