WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL NIGERIAN FIGURE---THAT IS THE QUESTION, Whats figures do the proffessors in our university quote, the market researchers, the economist in Nigeria etc what do Nigerians themselves quote?

I remember Madam Dora challenging one UN official after making a statement regarding maternal mortality, the women meekly responded she was actually quoting the figures from OUR Ministry of Health  

Even Nigerian ministers quote the same stats, you are assuming everyone pays house rent or take transport

Mr Dis Guy the 1st paragraph says "govt AND aviation authorities". Secondly i'm not sure where u get your facts but being a frequent traveller between Abuja and London i can assure you they have lots of passengers and not the absurd number of 10 u mentioned.

How is a London(Heathrow) to Abuja (Zik) route not good business sense I'm abit shocked at how u arrived at this one, as Nigerians are one of the biggest migrant groups in London who do lots of travelling to and from home.
Lastly the bit on prices is open debate.All i can say is last time i came back to London, Arik was offering the cheapest one way ticket on all the flight comparison websites i normally use.

Sure they have lots of passengers they also have absurd numbers during the off seasons, Yes Nigerians are one of the biggest (really?) migrants in london, the vast majority actually travel from Lagos- politicians and business men travel in Abuja and we all know Business are mainly based in Lagos, politicians are not looking after the pennies and their customer service isn't exactly top notch-they'll readily opt for the competitors whose got that on locked down more experience and they definitely know how to absorb the down turn.

The unlevel playing field aside, the Arik Air boss also lamented that when it was time for the airline to fly from Abuja to London, the British government told them in harsh terms that there are no slots in London Heathrow and that if it was bent on flying into Heathrow, the only available option was to rent slots from the British Midland International ( BMI ) at a whopping cost of £1.4 million (N357 million) between 2009 and 2010, commencing from the winter season.
He said the airline paid an initial deposit of £600,000 (N153 million) and then pays £52,250 (N13.3 million) monthly to BMI and after the expiration of that, the company increased it from £52,250,000 monthly to £90,000 per month and that when the airline tried to negotiate the amount, BMI refused to shift grounds.
“Is this fair? Their own carriers come here unhindered so where is the level playing field? These unfair treatment and slots issues are not contained in the BASA deals we have with them” this is unfair.

When did BMI a private company become the british Government?
Was this the same company that was reported to be ferrying only about 10 passengers-almost empty planes to UK from Abuja
their expansion is too fast, it doesnt make any business sense- big time money miss bad management road

The Abuja - London route is not lucrative enough for them, they could get a better deal with Gatwick and other Airport near London, at least offer Customers competitive prices!!

I have checked out your post. Nice idea, looks practicable but why not run standard nigerian movies? Why I thought of this is the number of brilliant folks in my industry(and out of it) who want to produce cinema quality movies but who find it a struggle to attract viewership at the cinemas.( imagine the highest grossing is IJE at 60 million,that must be around 40-60 thousand tickets,in a population of more than a 100mill?! Common there has to be a better way. Your idea looks practicable especially if combined with a fun spot which are opening up in the dozens. The only thing is the cost. if the start up costs is okay, one can quickly replicate this all over Lagos, then nationwide.Getting rights to Nigerian movies is no problem,that's my industry. You can do a revenue sharing formula with producers. And make sure you are selective with the nigerian movies you show.It means a lot. By the way would like to know if you have started work on your idea as I and my friends intend to go into production big time

well you have to understand the figures behind the figures itself,with about '80% live on less $2 a day, '

and only about 6-8 cinemas outside of lagos, very easy to spot the reason why the revenue is so low. I think the film,like other nigerian films took- a decent amount outside nigeria though especially amongst the nigerian/african population communities abroad


The start up cost to many business is just humuguous, most have to be built from scratch, electricty and then security

considering the very low amount of cinema quality films being made in nigeria I doubt one can afford to be selective-

Don't know why the poster is so excited. I wish glasses only for the worst of my enemies. I'v been wearing medicated lenses for eleven years now and my sight has not improved one bit. Instead it has only gotten worse.
In my experience there's no such thing as "corrective" lenses

she's excited because she can see clearly now! all the colours n little details without getting headache
why are some people acting like it's a disease-  go for eye surgery if its should a big issue in your life

the word corrective is not meant to improve just adjust it, if your long sighted- you wear a lens that will make u comfortable reading nearer objects
if you short sighted the lens corrects the focus, its not meant to heal you; like some sort of medication- its an aid

and Electricty? rights/license to show the movies i dont think N100 will be enought to cover these cost

except you are getting the films for free or way past its showing dates at normal cinemas

For about three days now i have been having a painful sensation in my left eye and some ache just above it, on the left part of my forehead. why dont you just stay off the phone or use it in well lit room

Been using glasses since I was 5 years old. Thanks to observant teachers.
I especially dislike the stiff neck it gives me from having to keep your head at a certain angle in order to see through the lens. I'm going for the laser surgery as soon as I can get access.

what sort of glass are you using that requires you to bend your neck? Try another optician

or maybe you're using the reading glass with a special section for normal lens

I was thinking of changing the title to attract more agents/operators to put forward their ideas as they know what it easily verifiable

Depends on how long you're keeping your first car, I'd have recommended a Peugot 206

She is a woman & may not know what to look out for when inspecting a Nigeria used car to purchase. It would be too bad to cheat a helpless person.

Woman, make sure everything in the car checks out ok before you make the purchase, if finally its only a Nigeria used Golf 3 that the 500k would get you.
