Hi Zahra29,

Thanks for the comprehensive analysis and breakdown. Yes, it all makes sense now.

Thanks again.

Zahra29:

Ah ok, you don't qualify as a new entrant as you're the dependant but your spouse does

Every occupation has its standard going rate. Some going rates are higher than £38,700 and some are less.

To qualify for a skilled visa, the salary offered must be the greater amount. So for your occupation code, £38,7000 is greater than the standard going rate of £30,960 so this is what the job must pay to be sponsored. It basically means that 38,700 is the minimum. Some occupation codes have standard going rates as high as £50 - 60k - which is what the role would have to pay to be sponsored.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for getting back. I know that for a skilled worker visa, the salary has to be £38,700. But the standard going rate for this particular job occupation is £30,960 on the government websites for visa-going rates for eligible occupations.

I don't know if I qualify as a new entrant; I'm on a graduate visa { dependant}.

Zahra29:

Hi Divinegrace, for a skilled worker, the salary has to be the higher of £38,700 or the standard going rate, unless you are a new entrant - do you know if you qualify as a new entrant?

Hi Zahra29,

Please i need your clarification on this.

Please do a starting salary of £34,789 for a job with Occupation Code 3314 qualify for a skilled worker visa.

because I perceive a difference in salary rates for the standard going rate of £30,960 (£15.88 per hour) and the lower going rate of £35,000 (£17.95 per hour) on the government website.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupation-codes

The organisation in question provides sponsorship.

I just wanted to know before accepting the offer.

Please, I'll await your further clarification on this.

Thanks

Hi everyone, good evening to you. Do we have anyone living or working around Newbury in Berkshire, England?

I would like to know more about the town/city, its transportation system, and how to commute through the nearby town/city easily.

The cost of getting a two-bedroom and the general standard of living.

If you have to live in the city, I need your help.

Cheers

My brother, For you to be a SIA certified door supervisor licence, security guard licence, or key-holding licence, they will ask you to provide your Nigeria police character certificate, then your DBS for England/Wales or Disclosure Scotland for people who reside in Scotland.

You can move your Naira to your UK account in a variety of methods.Through Lemonade Finance, one of them.

Your Naira will be in your UK account in within 30 minutes, according to my experience using it multiple times.

Ask @Lexusgs430, @Giselle, and @mimilyrics as well.

They'll also have some additional ideas.

Good day house...

Please can someone guide me on selling USDT when I get to UK?

I read on here one time, how someone made a legit transaction only for his account to be blocked cos the other party reported that it was a scam or something.

Please I'll like to be prepared and go about it the right way.

I'm due to arrive in August and the only way to carry lump sum out of my country of residence is via crypto or something.

Please help

Most often than not, reasons like this trigger a 10-year ban. Get your own visa 1st before he puts in for his so that it doesnt have a knock-on effect on your own application.

It is difficult to understand this UKVI working days. my application moved to VAC today Sunday.
and today is my school deadline to arrive.

I read your comments all the time, and I must say you have a great spirit. Despite the delay in your own Visa application, you still come to this wonderful forum to contribute and offer advice to other prospective students.

My advice is that nothing is impossible; I have a friend whose school's final day of enrollment was last week Friday; he received a collection mail on Wednesday evening, went to pick up his passport at TLS on Thursday morning, and then went straight to the airport; it was his younger brother who brought his luggage to the airport for him; he filled out the passenger locator form right away, and he was able to fly that same day.

When he arrived in the UK on Friday, he went straight to school with his luggage to explain the delay in getting his Visa, and he was allowed to enroll physically.

You can do the same thing tomorrow; your school should be able to accept you with only a 1-2 day delay in arrival.

I wish you luck.

Once your school is not extending your date to a time that'll accommodate your visa delay, you'd have to defer and start the visa process all over again for the next session.
Don't bother travelling as you'll be turned back at the POE.

TLS VI center release dates every day, check anytime from 12am , the slots are mostly opened by 12am , but you need to be fast with it, because by the time you try to refresh the page again its gone, this is what i did and i got a date.

I sent a paid mail complaining I’ve not been able to get a date for biometrics and they told me to cancel my application and start all over again with another venue, so that’s what I did and I picked another venue, I guess it’s only VI that’s isn’t releasing date dunno why

If you're driving: If you're driving, once you get to Berger, keep driving straight and don't turn till you drive past Motorways building on your right. Keep to the right lane once you sight the building to your right just beside the pedestrian bridge and descend towards Ojota.
Drive to Maryland from Ojota, keep to your right and go up the bridge leading to Mobolaji Bank Anthony. Turn by Mobil filling station, drive straight till you see GTBank on your right- the church is just after it. Drive slowly so that you don't miss your turn. Parking is usually competitive and might cost your around N500-N1,000 so you might want to park elsewhere closely (GTBank, Mr Biggs etc).
If in doubt at any point, use Google Maps.
Via public transport: Most likely, the final stop for your bus will be Ojota. If your bus stops at Berger, you'll need to board a bus to Ojota/Maryland.
Maryland is 2 bus stops away from Ojota. You can board a BRT bus in the middle lane or a yellow bus from Ojota if you're stopped there. Stop at Maryland bus stop, you will need to cross to your right and walk for like 3 mins from the BRT stop to Mobil station, maryland.
There are usually yellow buses from the bus stop or directly in front of Mobil.
There used to be a lot of bikes and Kekes there but not sure if they are still allowed there due to the ban.

From Maryland, board a bus/keke and alight at Abule Onigbabo - it's a few minutes stroll from there. It's a tall building (Etiebet's house) after the church and before Eko hospital.
