eddy18: This is beyond religious tolerance. Her faith is important to her. Let her be.Yea, true. It reminds me of a time i was asking a Jehovah witness girl out, she wanted to convert me. I fled and took to my heels. She never saw me again. |
I don't even understand the story. I was reading it angrily and had to stop when i noticed how voluminous it is.@op, i can bet this is not a true story. |
Happy Birthday bloke. You're really getting old. I got a pretty blonde girl for you as birthday gift.lol |
tpacalipse: I will kick her out. She shud go and meet her ex. Shikena!exactly, you just wrote what i had in mind. |
If religious tolerance was truly practicable in Nigeria, then it can never be a barrier to love. Someone was apt with the example of Fashola and wife. The hatred and disgust we have for other dogmas and tenets different from ours is enough to cause an arrested development in love. @op, it cannot work save one party converting to the other's religion or get yourself someone with the same dogma as yours. |
Well, you have to understand that if someone doesn't dig you, their feelings MAY not likely change. I'll apply a law from 48 laws of power, which states "disdain that which you cannot have". It makes you get over the person ASAP. |
@topic,It is to a very large extent. My phone is customised with British English and i speak American English and when i spell, it highlights the word being incorrect and this sometimes make me feel am not spelling the words correctly. The abbreviation of words can reduce a person's IQ when you're accustomed to it. |
xynerise: there are other comprehendable words to useokay, i'll look for more comprehendable words next time. So what kind of reason(s)? |
Many people may not admit they would accept their partner back but surreptitiously or clandestinely wish their ex would come back to them especially the ones they truly love notwithstanding the fact that the person dumped him/her.lol Anyway back to topic, there's been a lot of cases where someone who was dumped accepts their ex back whenever he/she comes back seeking for another chance(Love I guess). The back-together relationship sometimes works out or doesn't work out thereafter but for others they believe it's no use going back to their past which they've obviously put behind them. Would you come back after being dumped by someone once or twice and trust them never to dump you again? Have you accepted someone who has dumped you formerly before?....Mature responses pls. |
Barbaric....Some people are really heartless. Even if the maid erred, the modus operandi adopted by the woman is simply inhumane and barbaric. Is that her own way of discipline? |
How are we suppose to know? Will they announce publicly that they have nairaland handles? |
When you make laws very strict, people are bound to default them, no matter the sanction. This is just an advanced secondary school, let them operate their modus operandi as they wish, and by virtue of being a student there, you're bound by their constitution. |
1. Be extremely affluent and famous. 2. Buy her expensive gifts. That's how to win her heart. |
Saintsquare: Some restrain cause of financial status and others mite be past experience.i wonder how hard it must have been for them, restraining themselves from what they truly want. Everybody wants to love and be loved. |
[quote author=tpia@]which thread was that. The link to the previous thread, https://www.nairaland.com/1138197/been-single-over-year |
I formerly created a thread asking if anyone has ever been single for more than a year and the comments proved that most people have been single all their lives. This got me perplexed and incredulous wondering if they have a heart made of stone or something. Whether it's a conscious deliberate attempt or principles that I do not know. Falling in love is natural and sometimes we cannot control how it happens and it's indeed a wonderful feeling, however there are some people who restrain themselves from falling in love due to personal conviction or religion, hence making them remain single. So my question is how do you stop yourself from falling in love? Does the belief "that true love doesn't exist" restrain you? Mature responses pls. |
@op, what you're experiencing is very common among people who didn't grow up together to know they are related and only got to find out when he/she has had crushes on the other. |
Sallychizzl3: Help me ask d dumb ass o. Mumu!He wants us to tell him sorry. Oya let's tell him na.@op, eya! Chai, sorry. 'twas quite unfortunate, take heart. Oya go and hang yourself for being such a jerk. |
@op, legally speaking she's still a minor and i guess you don't want to be arraigned for child abuse/molestation. Carrying out your concupiscence will amount to legal consequences if your act eventually blows out of proportion. You're still on the mens rea, don't let it transmute to actus reus. If you truly love her, you should be able to discern you're putting her future and education in total abysmal. Pls i enjoin you, don't join the trend. Would have given you cases but... |
I'll marry when i'm tired. Don't ask what i've been doing. |
@op, so what do you want us to do now? Smh. |
What a funny thread. Well i don't know how speaking in tongues work because i have never done it before. But i have seen extreme speaking in tongues and i doubt they do it consciously. I wanted to raise an alarm that people should tie her up. She was going mad and rolling on the floor and when she stood up, i thought she was gonna munch my ear off but then to her, she was only speaking in tongues. |
Some people may call this usury, lending money at unreasonable high rates of interest. Does your religion forbid any form of interest rate whether just or reasonable? If biblically this is forbidden, what is the justification for banks lending money to people with interest rate? What if he/she does loan business for a living? Mature responses please. |
When will this ever end? I'm kinda getting used to all these stories. NEXT. |
Last time I read about ALUU 4, the court couldn't entertain the case and was adjourned till Feb, fearing the court has no jurisdiction to proceed in the case. |
They went ahead with the negotiations and ransom because the people have lost their trust in the Nigerian police. Even when they're inept, they will still aver that they're on top of the situation. Well, the Ǧ☺☺ϑ thing is that he has her freedom now. |
jhydebaba: It works in this order...So that's how it works for you?? |
I opened this thread because I have noticed that oft-times when a guy who is interested in a girl comes as a friend, he ends up being just a friend and gets stuck in the "friend zone". Do you think it's apt to be friends before advancing into relationship or you do not need to be friends before you decide whether or not he/she is a potential romantic partner? Which way has been working for you? Mature responses please. |
I don't like the video but all the same it is indeed a nice feat. He's full of creativity and has just broken record on youtube beating Bieber's baby. |
@Op, who sent you? |
WHERE'S D'BANJ'S OLIVER TWIST? That song ought to be on that list. |
