I think the dude is really incompetent. He claimed to have tried all he could before discovering that there's no paper in the printer.
Every I.T person worth his onion knows that the first step in troubleshooting a faulty printer is to check the ink and paper indication LED. If the ink or paper is finished, the light usually turns red/orange/yellow. This simple procedure would've saved him a lot of time. I guess he was busy opening and closing the printer like he knows what he's doing. Believe the story at your own risk |

When Saraki boasted earlier in the week that he shall see the CCB in court, little did I know that he was referring to his nocturnal court of injunction. We want corruption fought in its entirety, every corrupt person should be penalised, but what do we have have? Atiku,Obj,Tinubu,Amaechi and co walk freely and even rewarded by 'this' govt and hailed by many and you say corruption is being fought? SMH |

safarigirl: OK. Praiz is better than Timi, Asa is better than Timi, even SolidStar is better than Timi. I have more Asa songs on my phone than Timi's, but all are from one album, any others, I care not for. I don't understand why someone can't preer an artiste to the other. Timi and Asa don't even play the same brand of music, so does that not imply that I just prefer Timi's genre? If I'm into Punk Rock, I can prefer My Chemical Romance to One Direction, can't I? So, if a Namibian says P-square is better than Asa, you'll just conclude they don't know 'good music' by the standards you and some 'experts' set? Or have none of you music connoisseurs figured that it's a genre preference? Hian! It haff do abeg. Prefer whatever you like |

safarigirl: whatever you guys think it is, I don't like it. Everyone doesn't have the same idea of 'good music', some of us just don't like her style. It doesn't mean we don't know good music, we just don't like that one. I rank her alongside Nneka, I'll probably dose off if I have to see either of them in a concert. Timi's voice is strong, powerful and can hit you where it matters (listen to Great Nation, it's one of the best songs to ever come from Nigeria), Timi over Asa anyday. And we're back to the same ish of "Asa is awesome cuz the Western world likes her", why do we rate artistes based on who the West approves? Why can't we rate Africans on who Africans approve? Or are we not good enough to determine our brand of music? I've been reading how you trying aimlessly to play Asa's brand down over Timi's and i cant help but wonder if you listen to music for listening sake.Mentioning Asa and Timi's name in the same sentence is an insult in itself.Check! am a true hiphop and hardcore addict,i was the type of guy that changes the channel anytime i hear an R n B or soul music,it was garbage to me but Asa changed that, her album was actually the first non-rap album i bought with my money -she was that good.Did you say Timi? Heck! Praise is better than Timi. |

Music lovers in the house, have you also noticed the crazy decline in quality of nigeria music videos in regards to creativity recently? I mean, the reason i dont anticipate to see most of the latest songs and their videos all points to the fact that the videos these directors churn out these days lacks every ingredient of creativity. Its almost getting to the point where most of the nigerian music videos are becoming look alikes -atleast to me.Like having same concept and outlook to almost all the videos.Am not in tune with the things that go on behind the scenes, modalities and the challenges in shooting the video but as a consumer/costumer and or fan,is it too much to ask these directors to atleast think outside the box?
What we see in these videos nowadays is the conventional and overplayed dark warehouse scenes with phony coloured lights, smoke flying everywhere(am still trying to get the concept behind this and it use),the artistes and his/her cameos and ofcourse the SEXY female dancers and "vixens" which are all cramped up in the warehouse for the almighty video shoot. The director moving his camera from left to right,up and down, everyone dancing and the video is all set for and if this dont work, south africa is the next stop. The videos are almost always predictable.
As much as i hate to use the west as a yardstick to compare our videos,we cant help but admire the brains of the average western music video director, with their cutting edge creativity and ability to think outside the box and push boundaries of video directing. No one is saying we must spend millions or billions on videos, beyonce shot '7/11' as simple as possible and we all loved the video, heck! It won and was nominated for several awards,SIA shot 'elastic heart' in a room with only two people and i loved the video, bigsean shot 'I know' ft Jhene aiko with no half naked girls,no smoky stuff and we all love the concept and the story line behind the video, and there is 'bad blood' by Taylor swift, though looks a little expensive but the creativity was out of this world.
Why cant we take cues from them or again 'think out of the box'.It has never been like this, there was a time when we use to get it right,as simple as Olamide's 'eni duro' i actually enjoyed the video, and some other video from the near past and decades ago.And to think these artistes pay several millions for this latest generic and predictable videos is more sickening. My point is,lets this directors stop shooting videos for shooting sake and get creative -ahh! Must they shoot ten videos in a day? Even at that you can still get crazy and creative with it,ed shereen shot a video wearing one outfit dancing with a girl in a room and the video won several prestigous award including grammy if am not mistaken. Some nigerian and african music video directors are trying though but we can do better please.
God bless us as we improve.Thanks.
