Not good for a country who imports more than it produces like Nigeria. So the exchange is affecting us badly.
Exactly what the problem is. When demand is far more than supply, price increase is inevitable. Too much import increases our demand for dollars as it is the currency mostly recognised for international trade. The FG needs to ban the importation of certain things that are originally produced here. Considering Nigerian political structure and power tussle, looks impossible but we'll get there.

That's ok. Sometimes people use their admission advisors. As long as the contact is in the school it's ok.

igbonerd:
Hi guys, a quick enquiry.
Who is the most appropriate person to fill in the section of the DS-160 form that asks about "U.S. Contact Information"? I already filled in the contact details of the professor (in the university I'm going to) with whom I have been corresponding, but I just I'd run it by someone else before submitting.
Muchas gracias.

You could bridge the by telling that you worked with your dad when you finished high school and thereafter traveled to Malaysia. You may not have to mention the computer training thing. The Consular Officers commonly hear that. That's my 2 cents bro, I hope it helps.

SantaClause:
I am having a problem in answering the question...what have you been doing since after your high school?

I finished my school in the year 2010 and later went for computer school in 2011 in the year 2013 I was in Malaysia for a year program. Now am in Nigeria apply for VIsA my interview is fast approaching and I need someone should be tell me what to say just in case I was asked.

ayyyyo, you will do yourself a lot of good if you can try and check transcripts (both approvals and denials) between May till date. You can also make reference to the ones for Spring 2015 (Oct-Dec, 2014). It will greatly help your preparation within this short period you've got.

Wish you God's best bro, We await your transcript.

ayyyyo:
Good day every one ,
I have a visa interview on Wednesday and due to the public holidays I am unable to conduct mock interviews ( I am a member of educationUSA in the U.S. Embassy Abuja) so the embassy would be closed. Please can anyone give me a clue on questions that may be asked (undergrad student). Thanks And God bless in anticipation.

From evolutionary standpoint, struggle is what life is made of.

No matter how tough it is, we'll still going to survive at last. We should just be informed.

You dont have to be discouraged broda..That is the truth..Them no dey pick money from Ground from America..But with perseverance and hardwork una go make am. grin
The problem emanates from the fact that it's embedded in our mentality that life is a bed of roses in America such that when we hear something different, we begin to 'shake'. It applies everywhere in the world. It takes time to find ones feet in a strange land. Imperiouxx wasn't discouraging or scare us but preparing our mind for the task ahead. It's for us to have that drive and belief, work and pray and have an enduring spirit that things will work out fine. Everything in life is a RISK!

When shit hits the fan they'll say it's people from their village. Lol
Lol...bbdd wetin 'Nigerians' do u sef? U be Arabian abi? Ur sample is not a good rep of the whole. The fact that a person of a group misses it does not mean the whole is follows suit. Just my observation bro.

Now for those who don't know how to send PM on NL, it's simple and easy.

Click on the moniker of whoever you wanna send a message, it directs you straight to the moniker's profile.

Click on 'Send Bla Bla Bla a message' or something of that sort. It directs you to a page showing blank spaces where you can type the subject as well as the body of your message. Sometime you may not be able to type anything as it will be unresponsive. Do not worry. Just go ahead and send that blank message. The recepient will respond as soon as he/she sees it and then the responce drops into the mail you have registered with. You can then keep the private conversation going by replying eachother's mail.

It's as simple as that.

Wow, that was an hard job. Printing out people's transcripts and permutations. You get mind, wish you success
Thanks Zeezahbee. Not that hard. It's devotion. Reading those transcript creates an imaginary picture for someone that has never been there. No one ever prays to go back there as a result of previous denial.

Mine too is next week Wednesday, already having insomnia...lol
Lol...It's a normal feeling. Just relax by taking your mind off it and not putting yourself under pressure. I also felt that way days before my interview but then I BELIEVED!

What I did:

I printed out plenty of transcripts (more of approvals than denials). About 50 of it. I then analysed one by one, picked out the FAQs and the major ones, made a draft of possible responces (although my strategy was never to cram) and thereafter contacted a few gurus to help look into the draft via pm and I got beautiful responces from people right here.

All what I stated above requires commitment and perseverance. It wasn't easy but it was worth the while!

Good Morning Every1 i have a question, what if you get a visa to study in a university but along the line before you leave for the school you change your mind and want to go to another school? What will happen to your visa that you already have. Like getting a visa and changing your mind about going to the school?
You can go to the other school but first you must secure admission into the newly found school and get their I-20. Report at the first school you applied to (the one on your visa) and request for a transfer to the new school. Sometimes, you may have to spend at least a semester with the first school before that is made possible.

visa granted this morning at lagos embassy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all the witches and wizrads in the house. None of You will never fail
First of all, congratulations.

As you are not compelled to drop your interview transcript, it is the ideal thing to do. You wouldn't have learnt from the 'witches and wizards' if they had held back information.

Don't be a 'taker', be a 'giver!

As per your request, you can only help yourself by checking online (wakanow.com, travelstart.com, icarrygo.com) and decide on whichever that suits you.

That's the celebrant.... the kind of feeling you feel after you got the visa.

All burdens taken away from you and you feel like you're on top of the world..... intoxicated with joy.

But in reality, the visa is just the beginning of our worries. We are only better off those that couldn't cross the hurdle because we made it and able to make it to a country where struggling worthwhile.
Gbam! You just hit the nail on the head. That describes me.
