WES is very efficient bro. They put an estimated time on your profile. Once your transcript has been verified by your UG school, WES does the job in an estimated 10 days. The report sent gets to your school in another 1 or 2 days. The major problem lies in how soon your UG school verifies/responds to the email WES sends to them.

You cant use a GTB mastercard for TOEFL..You need a Visa Card..I used an Access Bank Visa card when i wanted to do mine and it went through easily..Mastercards aint accepted..

His mastercard can be linked to a paypal account and he can pay using that. Several other people like me who do not have a visacard used our PayPal accounts and it worked perfectly without any extra charge.

I am not new to Nland but I have been a silent reader of this thread, I never asked questions or followed anyone. I read through almost all the thread on Us student visa. And lucky me I got my Visa approved today at Lagos consulate. Am not sure how to drop my transcript cause I seem not to know how to use this platform well but I will love to drop my transcript, anyone to put me through please?

Permit me to say this; there's nothing to learn from your transcript. I guess you were in a rush to type out of excitement. But you see, the essence of dropping your transcript is to give back to the forum for others to learn. I'm sure you must have read through previous transcripts and learnt one or two things. If those transcripts were like the one up here, you'll agree with me you have absolutely nothing to pick from it. I'll advise that you don't post for posting sake but make it meaningful for others to make reference for many years to come.

As much as you are not compelled to edit it, it will be nice if you could post your transcript as it went. It's a faceless forum.

Sorry about your denial. If this is exactly how your interview went, then the truth is you have not prepared well. Your responses above have not shown that you did your home work well.

I'll advise that you try read up a couple of interview transcripts of both approvals and denials to learn how to respond to such questions. Do NOT forget to ask for God's favor as well. Do aall these and refire!

NIPOST can be that bad. A document I sent via NIPOST has spent about a month already in New York. Another time I sent 3 documents to the US, 2 arrived and the other never did. If the money is there, no body should risk NIPOST.

NIPOST mailing costs from #800-#1000. Time of delivery can be from 2 weeks to eternity . If the money is there, try better courier services.

NIPOST isn't as bad as you have painted it. I have used NIPOST 3 times. For 3 different destinations in the US and they never failed me. All you need do is send with the one that issues tracking number and with that you can monitor your document. Within 10 working days, it'll get to the desired destination in US. It now depends on how soon you want your document to get there. It'll cost you between N1,200 and N1,500 depending on the weight and same document will cost you between N10k and N14k using DHL or other courier outfits and it'll get there in 4 or 5 working days. The choice is now yours.

www.wes.org there you'll create an account for yourself and get a reference number which will serve as your identity for your correspondences. Make orders for services you want to be rendered and pay the total amount via your debit card.

Get your transcript sent to WES by your undergraduate school ASAP (your reference number MUST be on both the envelope and the transcript itself). Ensure your undergraduate school responds to the verification mail WES sends to them and your report will be ready as soon as that is done.

www.ets.org/gre there you can check available dates and exam venues and pick whichever that suits you by registering and paying the applicable fee of $195.

Since you have not booked an appointment, there's no need to inform the embassy of any change. Just fill a new DS160 and book ur appointment. Note that ur confirmation number must tally with the one on ur appointment page.

I was having some financial problems in my former school. Stevecrun was the only person I told about it, and no one else. To cut it short, I was surprised when Two nairalanders one of them told me that Stevecrun who is the only person I have been speaking with about it, who I also planned to move in with, told him I was outta status. The other sent me a message and said that someone on nairaland told him same thing. I felt so bad, and betrayed. How could this dude, who I took as my bother, make such speculations about me, without even confirming if it was true or not. Even if it was true, why would he spoil my name here, while he too is in the same situation. I called Stevecrun in a polite manner, to ask him why he would do such a thing. I wasn't aggressive, but calm, expecting us to talk as matured people, or for him to deny it, but to my surprise, he did not. He said he might have told, but can't remember. Then he asked me if that was the reason I'm calling him. I said yes, that I couldn't believe he could do such a thing. Only for Steve to tell me to end the call. In his voice, "abeg end this call, if na wetin make you call me" that's a big insult. Adding salt to injury. I the messaged him that he is not trustworthy. I told him that since he could spread rumors about me, and something I told him as confidential, that I was also gonna blow his cover up on here. That was why I said it clearly, that he isn't trustworthy, out of status, and people should be careful of who they give their personal vital info here. I don't care if his supporters here say BS, he betrayed me, and also insulted me. By the grace of God, I'm back to my new school, and God has been faithful. Like I said, with no apologies, be careful of who you give your vital info to here.

Bro, I notice people seem to be ignoring your inquiry despite repeated efforts to get attention. The thing is majority of people in this forum, who secured admission and got their US visas, never went through that route. Why limit yourself to a school that makes it compulsory for you to contact EducationUSA when there are avalanche of schools in the US that won't ask you for that?

For whatever service you request for, there's a fixed amount. Your total amount will be based on what you ask for irrespective of your level.

Guys, when applying for GA spot is it advisable to apply to different departments at the same time? Just thinking if one could spread one's risk. I do not want to ask my advisor so I do not give him a bad impression.

The duration of the evaluation process depends majorly on how soon your school verifies your transcript. As soon as WES receives your transcript, they send an email to your undergrad school. Your school is expected to respond to this email. When WES gets the response, it will take approximately 2 weeks before the evaluation is completed. Alternative to the email is the sending of copies to your undergrad school by courier (aka International Express) and they send it back after verifying. It costs $60. For me it's not a good option. The email is the best.

You can track the status of your verification on the WES portal. Just check www.wes.org for details on how much each service costs.

No one cares about what you worried about. That's why they place emphasis on the transcript being sealed in it's own envelope. You can now put your enveloped transcript in a bigger envelope alongside the docs.

You see, there's a way transcript envelopes are sealed such that if it's opened, one will always know.

Oh! I actually thot all schls were like the OOU I finished from. In my various cases, I was given my transcript but it was already sealed (which is the most important). So I had the opportunity of sending some other docs with it.

You can actually send some other documents alongside your transcript in one envelope. Applying to 4 schools mean you gonna have four distinct packages (Transcript plus other documents in each) to send. Depending on how urgent your application is, you can save some cash by sending through NIPOST. They have a method of sending with you having a tracking number to track it. It takes 10 working days or less to get to the US. I have used it not once not twice and it worked. Just spent about N1,500 on each package I sent (DHL or UPS would have cost me about, N10k for each). As back-up, you can scan and send the other documents via email to your graduate school or Advisor. It works!
