Jman06:The fact is that what you just wrote is the way our society in this part of the world is wired. Quite a lot of men live with that mindset and even a substantial amount of women too. although as times are evolving mindsets are changing, but it is still on the low side. |
Jman06:I beg to disagree with what you said. I do make those statements like 'don't you know I am a man' and 'Why don't you act like a woman', but that doesn't make me a misogynist or whatever you call that. I have great respect and value for women, although bad experiences from past relationships made me much wiser, because just like there are terrible breed of men out there, also there very strange and terrible breed of women. Just that one has to be very cautious, look well before they leap and also God helps too. One of the things I have discovered is that the reason why there are so many problems in relationships and marriages nowadays is that both men and women, have failed to understand the other genders well. Also bad behaviour and attitudes learned overtime and environmental influences also plays a role. And to be honest, once these factors are not addressed, going into marriage with such people, your case will be like the OPs own. There are some people you can never ever stay with, because of exhibition of the factors mentioned. |
Give us serious Christmas treat. At least 3 chpts....... by the way Happy Christmas SheWrites!! My prayer for you in 2018 is that you will blow, over blow!! This your wonderful talent will no longer be hidden but rather the entire World will know about a wonderful writer they call SheWrites!!!!!! |
People should be very careful nowadays, alcoholic drinks, drugs, illicit sex, nothing easily destroys people nowadays like them. Once, you enter your 30s, Value your body, eat healthily, exercise, have sex with your spouse. Because our parents generation had stronger genes, and coupled with the kind of food consumed today, many if they don't take proper care of their body will just die young. |
safarigirl:My dear ask them oo. Anyway the main issue is that humans have put so much attention to sex. And one thing you give your body, it will always ask for more. That is why the bible always talks about putting your body under restraints and control, because once you give your body, it demands more. And that has worked for me. I have many very important things to think about, than thinking about giving my body sex. No no Also the OP is right, in that sex is a very deep mystery. Man is first of all a Spirit. And the day any man dies his or her' spirit lives the body, and the body dies, begins to decay and once buried decay completely to ashes. What then does this teach us? Our body is just like your suit or your clothe you put it off. Your body is the medium your spirit interacts with this earth realm. Now concerning sex, the bible says a man joins or cleaves to his wife and they become one. Yes when you are having sex with someone, your two bodies join together, you are one. Sex is a very deep mystery. Another thing I have found out is if you come to have understanding of God's intention for sex in marriage, you will enjoy sex much more. Why? You come to understand that sex is communion, Fellowship with your spouse. It transcends just mere physical pleasure but your soul, entire being is united into one, honestly it is very deep. And you will get much satisfaction and fulfilment. The issue of non satisfaction will not even arise, because each party will not be selfish, but would rather make sure their partner is fully satisfied. That is why many that even engage in sex without getting married feel no deep satisfaction. But all this comes with knowledge, married couples or intending couples that does not understand God's mindset to sex in marriage will still not attain that deep sexual connection. |
Here is the Innoson own side of the story. They even addressed the fraud allegation. I don talk am GTB never know wetin they enter, by the time they are through, they go hear Nwiiii THE GENESIS OF THE WITHDRAWN ALLEGATIONS; SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT. At all material time, Innoson Nigeria Ltd. was a customer of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. Sometime in 2012, Innoson discovered that GTBank had arbitrarily imposed and debited its current account to the tune of N700 million in excessive and unlawful charges. Despite a series of complaints and demand for reversal of the illegal charges, a defiant GTBank refused to refund the N700 million to Innoson. Consequently, Innoson sued GTBank before the Federal High Court in Awka, Anambra State. Delivering judgement in suit number: FHC/AWK/CS/139/2012, the FHC awarded N4.7 billion to Innoson Motors against GTBank. The court also ordered GTBank to pay 22 percent interest on the judgment debt until all the payment had been made to Innoson. GTBank challenged the judgement at the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division. The appeal number is: CA/E/288/2013. However, on December 9, 2014, the Court of Appeal upheld the judgement of the FHC and ordered GTBank to pay its debt to Innoson into an interest-yielding account operated by the court. By then, the debt had accumulated to over N6 billion. Similarly, the Federal High Court, Ibadan Division, in a garnishee order absolute made on July 29, 2011, ordered GTBank to pay N2.4 billion to Innoson. The case number is: FHC/L/CS/603/2006. Also, the Court of Appeal, Ibadan Division, in its judgment of February 6, 2014 affirmed the decision of the FHC and ordered GTBank to pay N2.4 billion. The appeal number is: CA/I/258/2011. Based on the numerous judicial pronouncements to the appellate levels, GTBank was indebted to Innoson Motors up to N8.5 billion as at 2013/2014. In its various affidavits, particularly at the Court of Appeal in suit number: CA/E/288/2013, GTBank deposed that if it pays the outstanding judgment debt of N6 billion, much less the N8.5 billion, it could go bankrupt and be out of business. Consequently, in order to save itself from paying the outstanding judgment debts to Innoson, the bank filed a petition which led to the suit No: FHC/L/565C/2015 – which was properly and competently withdrawn by the police on February 17, 2016 as stated above. ON THE ALLEGATION OF FALSIFICATION OF SHIPPING DOCUMENTS TO OBTAIN A N2.4 BILLION LOAN FROM GTBANK. GTBank did not at any time grant any loan of N2.4 billion to Innoson. And there was no such thing as Innoson obtaining any loan from GTB with shipping documents. Innoson obtained, and had repaid same, a loan of N1.3 billion from GTB which was secured with a legal mortgage of its properties valued at more than N1.4 billion. Please note that shipping documents, vide: bills of lading, are issued when goods covered by them are already loaded onto the conveying vessel. It is highly unlikely that any manufacturer would release its goods for shipment unless it had been paid or its payment had been guaranteed. In this circumstance, is GTBank saying that Innoson used bills of lading to obtain loan from it but it didn’t investigate the genuineness of the documents before granting the loan? This, surely, should not be an attribute of a seasoned financial institution; except that of an unethical and a careless bank. Secondly, it also means that for Innoson to have the bills of lading, the goods were already paid for or their payment guaranteed and, as such, the company did not need any loan from GTBank in that regard. This alone disproves GTBank’s claim that a loan was obtained with dubious shipping documents – bills of lading. Moreso, GTBank paid the duties for all the goods Innoson imported with the facility it granted to it before Innoson cleared the goods covered using the bills of lading. As at the time of payment of the duties, GTBank knew or ought to know that the goods covered by the bills of lading and its facility were to be cleared. Also, after clearing the goods Innoson returned to GTBank the relevant exchange rate documents for onward transmission to Central Bank of Nigeria, and accordingly GTBank transmitted the paperwork to the CBN. Innoson didn’t do anything hidden, fraudulent or criminal in all its dealings with GTBank. The bank is only looking for means to blackmail, hoodwink and force Innoson to forego its monetary judgment, which now stands at estimated N10 billion. GTBank’s desperate schemes in this regard know no limit. Recently, in a ploy to get the Supreme Court of Nigeria to set aside the N2.4 billion judgment debt against it, it alleged, through a motion in suit number: SC/694/2014, that the Court of Appeal judgement in Ibadan (CA/I/258/2011) was procured by suspicious means. But the Supreme Court in its wisdom, and rightly, dismissed that unfounded and exasperating claim in May 2017. As a result, Innoson commenced a N400 billion suit against GTBank, in Suit No: FCT/HC/CV/2448/2017, at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Also pending before the Court of Appeal is an appeal on whether there is any charge at the Federal High Court, given the police withdrawal of the charge. Even though the motion for a stay of proceedings was dismissed by the Court of Appeal while the substantive appeal is still ongoing, Innoson has appealed against that decision to the Supreme Court of Nigeria in suit number: SC:839/2017. The Office of the Attorney-General is proceeding with the case even after the police have withdrawn their charges because they had not concluded investigation. At the Supreme Court, Innoson filed motions to quash the directive of the Court of Appeal which had erroneously ruled that proceedings should continue despite police having withdrawn from the case at the High Court. Innoson has served the Federal High Court notices of the motions pending at the Supreme Court. Therefore, contrary to media reports, Justice Faji did not adjourn on October 10, 2017 to November 21, 2017 for hearing of the application for issuance of bench warrant. Rather, the judge requested time to study ruling of the Court of Appeal and to hear Innoson’s and others’ preliminary objections. There was no pending application for issuance of bench warrant against Innoson Group executives before Honourable Justice Faji on October 10, 2017. Cornel Osigwe Head of Corporate Communications Innoson Group |
themonk:My dear don't mind this people. There reasoning is so beclouded. Who has not dealt with Nigerian Banks, very fraudulent. By the time GTB clears them self from this mess, I will know what will remain of them. And I know Innoson very very well, a very rugged fighter, they will hear nwii. A Man that has all his investment in the East, there in Nnewi and Enugu, and he amassed Billions without even leaving the East one day. |
Obi1kenobi:What the Greeks contributed was more of philosophy, they never contributed anything to science and technology. Even in Area of philosophy, Saul of Tarsus(st Paul) was one man that even overhauled a lot of Greek philosophy in the then world. He turned the then world upside down with his teachings and writings and those of other apostles on Christianity. Ditto it was his teachings that made the greatest superpower in the then world turn to Christianity, when Emperor Constantine of Rome converted to Christianity and it became the state religion birthing the Roman Catholic Church, and for more than 1500 Rome controlled the then world from the dark ages till the reformation started by Martin Luther, the pope was the defacto ruler, installing kings around then Europe . Even before Propheth Mohammed appeared on the scene 500 years after the rise of Roman Church. Rome contributed more to our modern world than even the Greeks. Our years and days today were developed by the Romans. The Greeks did not even last as a super power, there greatest ruler was Alexander the great who even died at a very young age in his 30s while Rome ruled for 100s of years and they had sound structures and hierarchy of power. And there grip on power was firm. Even in modern day Europe in England and Spain, in there rural areas, they still have roads that were constructed by Romans Thousands of years ago still in existence. Rome had sound architects and scientists. Even Islam contributed especially in the area of medicine, plagues like black death and other deadly plagues that were wiping out populations in Europe, Islamic Physicians developed a lot of medicines used in those times. But since the existence of man on this earth there has nothing been like Western Civilization which it's foundations was on Judeo Chrstian teachings, which birthed Industrial Revolution. Developed things like the steam engine whcih enabled ships to travel long distant lands man couldn't do before. That's how the British discovered and possessed far away lands like Australia, New Zealand, Americas, Canada which even if you travel by Air are very long distant lands, and with the exception of US, Queen Elizabeth is still the Crown ruler of all these Countries I stated. It was industrial revolution that led to massive discoveries in science and technology where many men like Sir Isaac Newton, Micheal Faraday and many notable scientists were strictly bible believing men. Nothing has made added more value to mans and made his life more comfortable like inventions of science and technology and not philosophy, which has its foundation on western civilization and it's root on Judeo Christian Teachings. Even today, the Anglo-Saxons US and UK are still the Major controllers of Finance in our today's world, Wall. Street New York and the City of London are the two biggest financial centres in the world with more than 60percent of global finance. Even the Asians appeared late in the game, first the Japanese who started their industrialisation in the 1920s, which led them into alliance with the devilish war monger Adolf Hitler in the 1930s after they lost the 2nd world war to the allied forces went into massive industrialisation in the 1950s, later the Asian Tigers Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea joined the game in the 1980s while China joined the game late in the late 1990s. And the next big thing to happen will be the industrialisation of Africa. It will take some decades but the seed are already being sown in the heart of young Africans. And some of the catalyst for these are some teachings by some of these pentecostal pastors, telling them never to look at where they are, but to tap deep within there inner self, tap into God given deposits within and impact their environment, not minding the challenges bedevilling them. And this with other things will change this our Continent for good |
Obi1kenobi:My friend stop your ranting. Go through history the forefathers of UK, US and most western nations built their foundation on Christian biblical principles. This is the major success of their economic prosperity today. That is why they are ahead in development over every other races on earth. God blesses children because of the good seeds their children sowed. That is a major principle in the bible. But also when the Children sow bad seed, subsequent generations will reap the reward. So as present generations of western world has embraced everything vile, their coming generations will receive the reward. I made a statement before pentecostal in Nigeria, were called church rats, but today have they not grown astronomical proportion. And I am telling you that most of you have not seen anything yet. Let me tell, I can with all assurance tell you that some of these pentecostal churches you see are the best run organisations in Nigeria. Better run than government and private sectors. Like I know some Pastors that are consultants to Lagos State Government in area of administration and sound management of polity. And Lagos Government to me is the only bit working and highly organised thing as far as Nigeria is concerned and I can say that because I have done business with them. |
salvation101:The level of ignorance I see is too much, that's why I only comment on posts that make sense. Most of those people they don't pay tithe, they still don't even help people. They don't know that those of us that pay, it is just the foundation, we still give to the needy and help other people. |
@salvation101 thumbs up for your good work!!! Don't mind some of these folks. Black man has serious issue. Like you rightly said, America has the highest number of Pentecostal churches in the world they are called the Evangelicals and majority of them believe in tithing. They are the ones that voted Trump in and I believe they have the highest voting population in the US. There tradition of paying Tithe has dated back many decades ago. Then for the men you quoted John. D Rockefeller was indeed a tithe payer. He founded Standard Oil which later after his death broke into bits of which Exxon Mobil and Chevron emerged today. Evangelicals are known around the world to pay tithe. I read one report from Times magazine some years ago of how powerful and extremely wealthy they are and the article also highlighted they pay one tenth of there income to their Churches. Not only in America but in Countries Like Australia they are very influential, prominent among them is Hillsong Church, in that Church they have quite a number of CEO's of fortune 500 companies. Then even Countries like Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, they have have huge significant population of very rich and highly influential Evangelical population. You know sometimes I really laugh at some of our people. They don't know how influential the gospel of Christ is. In John 1 vs 14, the Bible quoted in Him was life and that life was the light of men. The light shines in Darkness and Darkness could not comprehend it. See the gospel of Christ carries economic well being with it. Let me give you 2 intances. When the UK embraced the gospel, King James version of the bible was the first mass produced bible in the world, like 500years ago. Before that the bible was locked up in monasteries by Papalcy And Roman Catholics. If you were found with bible you were burnt by fire. That was why it took a monk Martin Luther to chanel the reformation. Now coming back to the UK, because of what they did, they received blessings from God and they originated industrial revolution which enabled them develop the steam engine therefore they built better ships which made them establish countries like US, Canada, Australia and gave rise to the British Empire. This fact was also highlighted by Sheikh Mohamed ruler of Dubai, in his book my vision, on how the Arabs lost the lead in the quest for development, when the British Invented the Industrial Revolution. Then when the British were going down, then came the US, a Country that was built on serious foundational principles of the bible by their forefathers . 200years till today US is still the global leader. Even today the Anglo Saxons US UK still control major Finances of our today's modern world. Why am I stating all this: it is only the ignorant ,blind person or someone that has no reverence for God that will come and be questioning tithe. People don't know that fearing God most times the effects is trans generational. It will affect your Children's children's children. That's why look at all those men that do not fear God and does wickedly how does there children end up. I come online and I see many young Nigerians with no fear of God speak terrible things against God's people, I am sorry for them because if some of them understand what will befall them they will fear God. Look at Churches like living faith, Redeemed how massive they have become, and people will think it is Man that is doing it. Let me tell them some of this Churches will so much become very massively influential in coming years in the economy, in education etc. I knew when pentecostal started in Nigeria, they were maligned and laughed at as poor rats, but today what is happening. In coming years, there influence will grow much wider. Why? Because where ever the gospel is preached it carries light that grows more and more this comes with better life and economic well being and prosperity. Because Man and God no be mate at all. |
Chuochajc:Honestly Bro, the man is indeed an inspiration. If a man @ 80 can achieve this feat. I wonder what excuse some of us younger ones have in not breaking off anything that limits us, press on to achieve great feats till our old age. I am truly inspired!!!! Congrats Baba!!! |
SheWrites:Yes oo waiting....... |
Wow SheWrites has done it again. Thanks a lot dearie!!. This wonderful story really got me thinking about some real life issue happening of recent to me. Most of the time we tend to judge people because of their past, not knowing what they have been through. It really got me thinking the man Jesus was. A woman was caught in the very act of adultery, but the Lord never condemned or accused her, while men wanted to stone her to death. Or is it the prostitute Mary that washed Jesus feet with her tears and expensive perfume, those present when she was doing that were even questioning whether Jesus was really a true Man of God!! Honestly may God deliver us from judging and condemning people!! Thanks SheWrites this your story has really preached a wonderful message to my Soul. Thanks sweetie!!! |
ProWalker:Did my reply say anything about bad belle. I am stating my fact as an insider in the oil and gas sector. Most times people ignorant of the system begin to make noise. Nigerian petroleum sector still has so much lapses and a highly incompetent system. For example do you know the landing cost of pms in Nigeria now is around 155 Naira, while pump price is 145, why do you think there is scarcity now. Yet we are meant to have a working refinery. Abeg leave matter, we have a serious long way to go for this nation. |
In as much as this is a laudable project, investing in oil and gas projects like this can become very catastrophic and they normally enter into huge debt. Most especially with the high volatile nature of oil prices. Example is when Oando bought up the oil assets of ConocoPhillips in Nigeria, this deal was done during high oil prices, not long the price fell and ditto Oando is presently in a very dip mess financially Moreover what is there presently is just tank farms, for storage. So it will still depends on fuels imported into the country. And for those making noise there are many tank farms located within th coastal regions of Nigeria. In Calabar we have many tank farms located there one very big player Northwest petroleum, then in Koko Delta state many major companies have there tank farms there, even my Chairman has a mega tank farm there. Infact these tank farm l mentoned feeds most of the petroleum demand from core North, Middle Belt South South and South Eastern states. So you people should stop making noise, make w hear word. |
Mirand606:And what is the bedrock of industries? Is it not quality education? Sound/quality education is the foundation for any society that wants to move forward. Don't you know the major reason why Nigeria is comatose is because of her moribund educational system. Quality education leads to churning out graduates who are not just looking for job, but who have the capacity to create jobs, capacity to think outside the box!! Kudos to Bishop Oyedepo on his sound vision for education evidenced by what he is doing with Covenant and Landmark Universities. In years to come, they will be among the leading universities in this continent if not the world. |
From what I am seeing Willie Obiano is seriously leading. Willie Ejebego!!!!! |
Skanas:OK I got the drift. Just that I really get sad when I see many uneducated and unexposed women married, and also very happy in their marriages. While many of our educated/exposed ones not married. |
henryhemon:But most women are like that, very clingy. You will just find a way to balance it up. |
Skanas:The world is changing fast...story for the gods. I am not here to castigate anyone, but we should stop deceiving ourselves. Uneducated, unexposed women are getting married everyday with happy marriages. Most of the times, the people that miss out happiness and joy in life are those people with your mindset. |
Most of you are liars quoting the bible out of context. And that is how we know liars. You said eye of the needle that it was a sewing needle but that was a lie and falsehood you were peddling. While the needle is a passage way a camel goes through. You did not quote the whole text. What was Jesus conclusion? 25When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. That was Jesus conclusion, man cannot do it but God can do it. So from this presentation a rich man can inherit the kingdom of God. Finally, this is what the bible states here in Psalm 112 112 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. 5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. 6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. 8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. 9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. 10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish. I have met your types false deceivers, you extract a verse from a text, to deceieve the gullible. When you are analysing scriptures quote the entire text, not extracting to deceieve the unlearned |
aribisala0:Research on what I have stated there. What is an eye of the needle. Google it and see what it means. Yes I stand by what I said. |
aribisala0:The problem with most of you is complete, total ignorance. And honestly ironing out issues with an ignorant person is a waste of time. Most Nigerian Christians don't have any clue about the bible. What did Jesus mean? During the time of Christ, camel was transportation animal. Now where the camel is kept is called needle. For the camel to enter a needle it will remove it's overload then enter it's place of rest through the needle. So what Christ implied is a rich man will remove all pride, be humble. How did He end the passage you quoted, that what is impossible with man is possible with God. |
aribisala0: |
HARDDON:Do you mind them. You will see rock stars that are singing rubbish, deceiving young people flying private jets and then when a man preaching goodness and gospel to the nations and saving the souls of men and nations fly jet they will start shouting. Private jet for these men is not luxury but rather necessity. Yes. I do travel and if you are a person that is into traveling, you will understand that connecting flights, boarding time, and the destination you are going to will seriously affect your movement. But flying private jet cuts down your time minimally. Sometimes into even days. And some of these men are in different locations around the globe almost all the time. |
Topgainer:You know I laugh at this generation, they will quote this and that. My friend bring down yourself from your high horse. A generation that will never humble themselves and raise up there voice in arrogance. A generation of babies that don't even understand the basic rudiments of faith. Is it not a wonder that all manner of evil not known to man is practiced by this generation and they will still claim to know God. A very godless and perverse generation We will continue following the ancient pathway laid down to us by our fathers. Yes we willingly. |
aribisala0:The bible from Genesis to revelation has always emphasized concerning giving in one way or another. God told Abraham give me your only son. While will God ask for that. God himself is the greatest giver, He gave us His Best, His only Begotten Son John 3 vs 16. The Bible also made us to know that it is more blessed to give than to receive. God respects giving. Gift. Even the occults understand it, that is why they always sacrifice!! In the book of Kings in the bible Isreal was waging a war against the heathen, and God was with Isreal in that war, but then the pagan King when he saw he was losing, took his son that was supposed to replace him and offered him as a sacrifice, the bible stated that great rage turned against Isreal and that king escaped. You guys can deceive those that allow them to be deceived, I have read this bible and can with all conviction tell you that any Christian fighting tithe or giving in Church is a complete agent of darkness. Christianity is a race, Christianity is a daily walk with God, it is a personal relationship with God. We grow in our daily walk with God. God talking and communing with us. Leading us in every direction or step we take. Let me tell you, the bible tells us that they that are led by the spirit of God are the sons of God. And Jesus told us in the book of John, God is a spirit. In my personal experience, most sunday mornings God directs me on the amount of money I am to give, yes. Sometimes as a human being I will want to give God some kind of offering not comensurate with my level, but within my spirit, I will not be at peace, and guess what once I obey, that week, I am always shocked at how my finances will flow positively. Finally the book of proverbs says that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, enlightening the inward parts of the belly. Any Christian that has not developed and trained his spirit man to hear from God, will fall into serious error. And this is the foundation of true Christianity. In my personal life it has saved me from trouble, from false people, from wrong investment, from wrong marriage. The problem we have in Nigerian Christianity is that very many don't even know the Lord, and you see them quoting bible up and down in ignorance. Like I said before genuine Christianity starts by daily, personal fellowship with God in His Word and Prayer. Learning to listen to his voice and his leading as the Good Shepherd of your soul clearly ironed out in Psalm 23. |
aribisala0:Mr man you are the one totally duped. I am a faithful tithe payer and I know how my life has bettered. So face your front. You don't tithe, therefore can never know or partake of the benefits. Tithe is not a joke, it is a reality. |
These guys against tithes are agents of darkness, anybody listening to them will have himself to blame. Most of them have never paid tithe before, therefore has never received the blessing associated with tithing. So people should beware of them. That is my own |
Most of this people don't understand that all this there preaching against tithing has made people raise the awareness and cosciousness of paying Tithe. Yesterday sunday I paid my tithe in full to my. Church. This issue has made my resolve not to play with my tithe. Likewise a lot of people I know. I did it and I was so fulfilled and also very grateful to God that these deceivers never corrupted me. Any body listening to all these guys wants his blessings attacked by the enemy. So people should beware. Most of these guys are agents of darkness. I don't give any attention to what they are saying |

Even Jewish people with their tiny population in the US have contributed far more. Even sillier is the UK claim, considering the UK is one of the most irreligious nations on the planet where the average citizen even if not an atheist shows little more than contempt for organized religion and sees Christianity more as a cultural identity than an actual professed faith. You think it's Nigeria here where every Pentecostal confronts you and invades your personal space in buses, markets, universities, street corners (there's a particular clown from Chosen that frequently disturbs my sleep from 5:00 AM many mornings till I leave the house for work) etc. Don't delude yourself. The Nigerian version of Pentecostalism has little in common with the initial Protestants (Lutherans, Anglicans/Episcopalians, Baptists, Methodists, even Mormons, Adventists etc). Ours is the modern money-driven perversion of the Christian faith that is reviled even by many American Christians. Joel Osteen for example is the kind of guy that would be seen by many Nigerian Pentecostal zombies as a figure to aspire to. He's widely reviled by many Americans as a charlatan and conman.
